One of my co-workers wanted to celebrate her birthday and chose this place. It was my first time here and we had such a wonderful time! We came on a Tuesday for the Burlesque Show and it was busy, but we stationed ourselves at the bar, as all the tables were taken, and proceeded with our order. I'm grateful that we had Roxanne and Lindsey taking care of us, because they made our night. They were adorable, friendly, and sweet - they did their best to make sure everyone was being helped. Customer service is essential, and they did a phenomenal job! This is a fun place for photos, too. The decor was beautiful, especially since they still had some Christmas decorations up. I loved all the lights on the ceiling and wish they'd keep it up all year long, it really adds to the ambiance. But it's still fun seeing what other decorations they had adorning the place - even in the bathrooms! I don't drink alcohol, and stuck with kombucha the whole night - but they do have juices, too. Next time, I'll request a mocktail, since they have some fun ingredients to mix there. My girlfriends did enjoy their libations, though - especially the Bathtub Gin which comes with a mini rubber ducky you can take home. We also ordered food: - Pepperoni Flat Bread (incredibly tasty with the perfect crunch and cheesy gooey-ness). - Dates (crispy prosciutto on the outside stuffed with chèvre). - The Mathers Platter (a mixed charcuterie board of cheese, fruits, nuts, bread, and meat). Although it took them almost two hours to get The Mathers Platter to us, we patiently waited and continued to enjoy our time there. Watching the Burlesque dancers kept us occupied, haha. Those ladies were spectacular! I look forward to coming back and trying other dishes on their food menu, and hopefully I'll see my new favorite bartenders again too!

Such a cool spot! Nice going to a place that has an attire requirement just to grab a drink! The drinks were good, I will say it was strange drinking out of a “bath tub” so to speak, but it was worth the experience. Such a great vibe, cozy at first, but later in the evening it started to get really loud as more and more people showed up. Pretty good drink menu, a little limited on food from what I remember, but then again they’re a cocktail lounge so that can be expected. 10/10 would go again, if only just to walk through a bookcase!

Probably my favorite bar in Orlando. The vibe is very old school. Speakeasy style with a hidden door to enter. The cocktail menu was great. Froze on tap. Lots of wine. 50% off during happy hour. Our bartender Alana was great. When asked for a bartender choice she made a passion fruit rum drink with sliced jalapeños.

This experience was mellow, yet lively. Rustic, but modern. The servers were attentive and polite, especially Kiera, who was delightful. The ambient lighting and mixed interior of 1920's and present day aesthetic, with soothing background music, confirmed that Mather's is an enjoyable speak-easy bar to enjoy with friends and family alike. Whether you dress the part, or come as you are, order a comfortable beer or a signature cocktail, you will appreciate what this unique bar has beyond other locations.

Mathers is one of my favorite Speakeasy bars. Such a great experience every time we go. Joe the bartender is incredible and can make you anything based off your flavors of choice. Tim the manager has a great personality and had a constant presence as well. Can’t wait to go back!

What an incredible experience! We were greeted by the manager, Dan, who was so informative about the history of the building, gave us clues for entering, helped make drinks, and even showered our bride-to-be with rose petals for the perfect photo! Kira took especially good care of us, was kind, and even rushed to make sure our second order of drinks made it in with minutes to spare before the end of happy hour. This was one of the highlights of our trip!

What a great vibe, from the doorman, bartenders and performers it was just the best experience I've had in years. Such a cool atmosphere you just can't soak it all in without being overwhelmed. The music was spot on too loved that, it added to the ambience. I spent hours looking at all the books and crannies spotting unique items of the decor. Great crowd although my one gripe was the dress code was more relaxed than I expected/hoped.. guys in printed graphic tees, torn jeans and sneakers. Also shorts.. not that they were dressed in a nice shirt either they just didn't fit. That's my missing star else I would have given it 5/5.

We had a really good time here. I didn't even know it was a speak easy until we met the bouncer. I love the vibe here and the drinks were great. I had an old fashion. It was smooth with a sweet finish. I recommend going on a Wednesday before 7. It's happy hour and there is room to walk around and take pictures

ABSOLUTELY LOVE Mathers! We parked in the building across the street which made it a very short walk. What an incredible speakeasy experience, from the first moment we were greeted downstairs outside by a very polite and professional entry host (who gave instructions on how to access the speakeasy), to the book-lined library/anteroom where Paul the Poet sat typing poems in a tuxedo, to the super friendly and kind gentleman, Dale, who helped us find plush seating once inside, to our delightful and gracious server, Bella, who made our first visit truly impeccable…. And then the MUSIC (violinist playing popular songs from the 70s, 80s, too today!). The decor (for Halloween at the time) was perfection, and they control how many visitors are in the bar at one time, so the atmosphere felt exciting and electric, but not over-crowded with people. Saw bachelorette parties going on, gatherings of friends, and lots of date nights. We had an awesome date night and will definitely go back soon!

Mather’s Speakeasy and in secret; In the heart of downtown Orlando, Mather’s stands as remnants of the past, celebrating the spirit of the Prohibition era in all its glory. From its hidden entrance to its meticulous interior design, the bar exudes an ambiance that effortlessly transports visitors to a time of secrecy and intrigue. With its carefully crafted cocktails, live actors, and commitment to recreating an authentic speakeasy experience, Mather’s has earned its position as a beloved and iconic destination in the city. For those seeking a taste of the past and an escape from the ordinary, a visit to Mather’s is a journey not to be missed.

Excellent experience. Each of our party got different drinks so that we were all able to try multiple ones. Our waitress, Harper, was excellent at recommending drinks and was very attentive. There wasn’t a drink that we didn’t enjoy! We ordered the cheese board; it was more than enough for a party of three to enjoy. The atmosphere was beautiful and bookish. I would recommend this place to anyone and I will definitely make a point to comeback each time I’m in Orlando.

Really cool place and great bar tenders. I most enjoyed the fact that this crowd seems more laid back and mature than most other speak-easy's I've visited. They have a great selection of liquor and super live entertainment. If you've never bee, it surely is something I think most people would enjoy.

First time in this historic building. Very loud and busy for a small space. I guess I get the “prices”for the “experience” and the drinks. Appetizers was nothing fancy. They just need more staff to make up for the amount of traffic in there. It took almost 30 min for each drink if you don’t go straight to the bar. If you want the comfy couches, then you better get there when they open. I probably would only come back if someone else is buying again.

Wow what an amazing experience we had, my group was completely blown away at how amazing the atmosphere and experience was. It gave us a break from the whole downtown craziness. The staff was super friendly, funny and welcoming and kept us entertained. The manager Dan and the bartender Joe was super helpful and they made the experience great for our group. This bar, was beautiful, the history behind the building and the decor made this bar feel so unique. The drinks were made with passion and you can tell the people who work here care about their job and want to be there. This was an amazing experience and my group will be coming back!

This place is very well done. A speakeasy in downtown Orlando. Themed to perfection and all the employees play out their roles perfectly. Really great experience and worth the price of the drinks which can be a little pricey but considering the experience you are getting - it is worth the price and if you would like to avoid crazy long lines come early and enjoy the bar with a more intimate crowd. All in all a great place to go, experience and get some excellent drinks.

I dont know why i waited so long. Friday night after Broadway the line wasnt too long when we go there. Six of us were able to get in and sample several drinks. We had a space available to sit and listen to the sax player. Line for drinks was sort of long but lots of tenders. Large assortment of craft beverages and they were all tasty. Great place would love to come back on a weeknight.

We had a great time there. It had an upscale prohibition vibe, but the dress code was varied. I had the bath tub, substituted for vodka. It was great! I did get to keep the ducky as souvenir.

I love this place! I come whenever I'm in town because their cocktails are top tier. Beautiful place with low ambient light. This visit, bartender Kris made us a bunch of great cocktails. We got some stuff off the menu and then asked him to make something special. He got to know our taste, then made this amazing New York Sour with Red Wine foam, it was amazing. If you are looking for a unique cocktail experience, relaxed sophisticated vibe, Mathers is it! Kris also mentioned they will be offering clarified cocktails in November. Definitely looking forward to trying them.

Overall is a quite pleasant experience. I would recommend going at least once. The atmosphere of the speakeasy is fantastic, especially around Halloween. The service was fantastic accounting for how busy they were. The cocktails were outstanding, well worth the price.
