I went to this cute tiki bar in downtown Orlando to have my first cocktail of 2022. It was small, cozy with lots of great art and decor throughout the bar. Next to the bar was this nice blue glowing fish tank setting the tone for a laidback chill night. I reviewed the menu and everything sounded amazing, so I was having a bit of a hard time figuring out what to pick. The bartender asked what I liked, I said whiskey and he immediately said "I got you!" Love the enthusiasm. I asked if he was going off menu for me and he nodded with a smile. Moments later he placed a beautiful drink in front of me and described it as a tropical whiskey sour...CHA-CHING! Little did he know I love whiskey sours so I was thrilled to try this one. Before I could even finish my first sip I knew I'd hit the jackpot. It was perfect, refreshing, with a fabulous blend of sweetness and tartness. I would certainly come back here and definitely recommend you try this tiki bar out.

Amazing tiki bar right off of Lake Eola in DTO! This authentic tiki bar transports you back in time to the 1960s Golden Age of tiki and to its namesake inside the Vegas icon The Stardust! Awesome secret tiki bar atmosphere, amazing staff (shout-out to the incomparable Pieter), and a wide assortment of amazing tiki cocktails! This is must-do while bar-hopping around Lake Eola, but it is definitely a worthy destination all by itself! A great place to waste away (?!) an evening (and an equal experience and a LOT easier to get to than the more-famous Trader Sam's inside Disney's Polynesian Resort). Add Aku Aku to your tiki bucket list!

The drinks were good & strong. We went on Saturday night and at first it was really nice (only a few other tables). As the night went on, the bar became packed and the one bartender got overwhelmed and behind. Otherwise, great experience and part of town- very walkable to other cocktail bars and dinner places.

It's a small space with overpriced drinks and unfriendly staff. The people who work here act like they lost the lottery in life and they know it. It's mostly a hangout spot for other unhappy service staff to hang out after they finish their shift and tourists who don't know the reputation to swing by for a one and done because of the theme. People around the neighborhood openly warn people of how bitter, cliquey and petty this bar and its regulars are. If you want a $16 drink made spitefully by an aging bartender stuck in a high school mentality with an inferiority complex who didn't have the courage or ability to go after their dreams and takes it out on everyone else, Aku Aku is the place for you. If you close your eyes, you can actually taste the misery and self-hatred that goes into each and every drink.

Fantastic spot for laid back atmosphere and great drinks! I live in the neighborhood and enjoy coming midweek. It will get busy on weekends and with live music but always a good time. The variety of drinks made and knowledgeable bartenders will certainly please anyone walking through the door. My favorite drink is the Saturn but make sure to ask for the specialty drink that starts with the word Tiger. Highly recommend!

We enjoyed our experience here, drinks are executed well. Good quality rums, flavors and juices. Drinks all tasted true to the names on the menu. One drawback is the counter self service. Each time you want a drink you have to get up stand in line and wait to get the bartenders attention. The place is pretty small so it doesn’t take as long as I might sound but I still like service especially when you are spending 10-14 dollars a drink. Decor is nice nothing over the top a couple of nice pieces including a beautiful Witco ship. One nice surprise was they had there signature mug back in stock. Overall we would definitely come back and it’s nice to get away from Disney sometimes.

Drinks are amazing & has it's own personal touch. Nice small space & good vibe. Only con is the bartenders were more conversative amongst themselves than they were with the customers. Our bartender did not seem too enthused to be here. Otherwise great little spot for creative drinks.

I'm a big fan of tiki bars so I feel lucky to have Aku Aku near us! It's cozy, laid back, and their bartenders are very knowledgable. Tiki drinks maybe a little strong for some people, but I appreciate that Aku Aku uses REAL ingredients.

Get your tiki on!! Some super awesome tiki drinks right on the edge of Lake Eola. Great location with plenty of spots to eat around. This is a "must not miss" spot when in the area!

Hecka Yeah with the Live music & drinks!!! I had the Zombie, it's description is ON POINT. Strong flavour that slowly takes effect, so darn true. And the cozy, decorated inside is a total mini-oasis.

Classic tiki bar with flavorful drinks and friendly service. There’s plenty of indoor seating here with a sizable bar. You can also purchase tiki mugs to bring home. The zombie drink was great!

One of the best bars in downtown. The Aku Aku cocktail is one of my favorites and the bartender team is just amazingly friendly.

My husband and I went here for the first time a little over a year ago on the recommendation of my hairstylist. It's now our go-to bar. The atmosphere is super cozy and inviting, and the drinks are amazing (and strong).
