Ok so let's start off with you get what you pay for. This hotel was only $55 so you can't really complain too much. It was clean and the staff helped fix issues quick. That said check in was extremely slow. We had no towels in our room. We had one pillow on a king size bed. Then to top it off our AC on our room broke. They sent maintenance and it came back on for a little but in the end we had to move room. For a cheap hotel it's close to a lot in Orlando. I wouldn't stay here with kids but if you are just needing a place to sleep for very little money it works.

The beds were awful. My back still hurts!!! The shower only worked halfway. The other half was like a bath. The bathtub filled up while showering. Spoke very bad English. It's not a huge deal, but something people may want to know. The door was hard to close. No "do not disturb sign". Room not cleaned on the first day but the cleaned half the room on the second day. Made one bed not both. 2 towels for a room reserved for 4 people. Ghetto! Paper thin walls. Thin pillows. Not enough outlets. The outlets they did have were so lose that my phone charger just fell out. For some reason our room didn't have a trash can in it except the small one in the bathroom. I found that very weird. I had to put any trash together in a corner. only good thing was that it is close to universal, which is why we were in Florida to begin with.

When we went to our rooms, first thing I did was try to plug in my phone charger, only to find that ALL of the outlets were too loose, and nothing we tried to plug in would stay in, everything just fell out of the outlet. The outlet in the bathroom was fine though. Second thing I did was used the toilet, but then it couldn't flush my #2 and became plugged up. I called the front desk and told them we need dinnertime to come unplug it, or at least get me a plunger. She said they may come to fix it, or bring us a key to a new room, and says she's call me back. I waited 10 minutes and she didn't call back. I called again, and she sent someone with a new key. I soon found out that the outlets in this room were exactly the same, anything you plug in just falls out. We took turns charging our phones in the one outlet that worked, which was again in the bathroom. And speaking of the bathroom, my mother used the toilet (#1 this time) and while it flushed everything liquid, the toilet paper never went down. Seems these toilets can't flush anything solid at all. Also there was mold on the bathroom ceiling in the shower, and a small hole in the wall near the ceiling. We stayed for three nights. In the hotel lobby there's a sign that says that due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the rooms would be serviced every second day of your stay. But our rooms were not serviced ANY day. Each night when we went back to our rooms, we had to go to the lobby ourselves to an for new towels. When checking out, we asked to be refunded the service fee because they didn't did what we payed for, but they refused to refund it. What's more, the hallway outside our room didn't smell too pleasant. My mother described it as smelling like skunk. This smell remained for the entire time we stayed. And in another hallway between the lobby and our room there was a large puddle of water, which stayed there day after day and wasn't cleaned up. It did appear to shrink from day to day, just from evaporation. One star rooms. Zero star service.

Where to start? We check in a little past 4pm. Get to our rooms, one room was good to go (minus the lack of towels) and the other one was still having work done to it. We we had to wait till 5pm to even get inside our room. Our group just kept telling each other, it’s the location. We found a cheap hotel near the parks. We were staying positive. We go back to the parks get back to the hotel around 11pm. Go take a shower. NO HOT WATER! Ice cold water. Then our smoke detector kept going off, safety precaution failure #2 considering the elevator took us up two floors instead of down one prior to that. We wake up, go check out, get our deposit back and I leave a note for the manager, Marilyn. That was on Sunday. I am leaving this review on Tuesday. No type of communication AT ALL! I don’t care that this hotel is close to the parks. I would never stay here again and highly recommend no one stays here, there is NO WAY the pass any type of inspection.

VERY VERY BAD!!!!!! It’s very bad service as well as room. There is only single outlet. I couldn’t charge my phone on time. That is also not near to bed or table. Beds are horrible. Bedsheets are smelly and mattress is little noisy. We booked the hotel for 4 nights and on 2nd day pur AC and bathroom lights turned off. We tried to talk with management but they are busy with upcoming costumers. Not giving good response. They didn’t even shift us to another room. We spent night without fan Ac and lights. Only good thing is near to universal studio. But still Not recommended!!!!

We stayed here for several nights. We really liked it! Everything was great. We honestly had no problems at all. The staff was also very friendly and told us to let them know if we needed anything. I really enjoyed the movie themes throughout the hotel. We would definitely stay here again.

Close to universal but not worth it. Was cheaper than some other places but the service and room was horrible. We first went in the room and there were no towels, there was red stuff all over the floor (that looked a lot like blood, i hope I was wrong and it was ketcup) the phone did not work, one bed didn't even have sheets on the mattress, and there were ants all over the bathroom. After ringing the bell repeatedly at the front desk someone finally appeared. They gave us a new room. There was a random guy sleeping in the hall, the smoke detectors were beeping in the hall, the TV was broken, and phone didn't work. When we tried again to get towels the front desk never showed up to help so we went and found pool towels.

Do not book here. First thing I noticed walking in was the mold smell--it was everywhere and was very strong. Walked into the room and noticed the carpet was soaked and squishy in some parts, probably one of the sources of the smell. Bed sunk low and was basically a trampoline. Sheets, mattress and pillows were nasty. Only stayed here one night and I felt like I needed multiple showers to get that nasty smell off me. This place needs to be shut down there's a mold problem for sure.

STAY COMPLETELY AWAY. We left 20 minutes after we checked in. We are not picky when it comes to hotels. We read there was water damage, but we agreed that didn’t bother us. We had just come back from the airport and we just needed to sleep for a few hours. I laid on the bed and found 2 pillows covered in URINE. Legitimate urine. I then looked up at the headboard and noticed white bugs covering it, I presumed it was lice. Even if it wasn’t, there’s still little white bug all over the bed. We just simply could not stay there any longer. All other hotels in the area were booked and we opted to drive him. DONT BOOK HERE.

Be aware of this place!! This is not a 3 star hotel. Came for s concert and I called the hotel the day before asking if we could check in early, was told yes. Got to the hotel and was told no checking in early(3hrs early) and was told check in was at 4pm. We had to sit in our car for 3hrs until check in. Got to the room and had no microwave or towels. The TV screen looked like it was going out. Had green lines going through it. The beds were horrible. The only good thing was we had hot water when taking a shower., location was not bad.

Terrible. First of all, the rooms had a rustic smell to them, not a clean smell. The room felt muggy and to top it all off, I came back to the hotel on the second night I stayed and found a lot of bugs in my room. SO I do not recommend anyone staying here. This place needs a major overhaul or shut down.

You can improve the cleanliness and the staff attendance. The room was very dirty. It had hair in the shower, hair in the sink hair, on the blow dryer, etc. The beds and sheets had stains on them. I had to lay down in a blanket that I got from the nearest Walgreen. I had asked the staff, whom took about 30 minutes to come to the window, to move me to a clean a room just to get to an even dirtier. The refrigerator was broken and dirty and I have pictures of hair everywhere. I have called the manager multiple times with no response and no answer. I am wanting my money back immediately. I am not one to usually leave a review or spot mishaps at any hotel, but this cannot go unresolved. Something should be done for public health safety.

Hotel is in need of some TLC, Lets start off with the good the location is great and the rooms were clean. Maid Service they removed the trash bag and put in a new one and made the bed. The A/c worked fine, and we had a nice view of Volcano Bay. A few things that I didn't like but am ok with for the price I paid was the bathroom door barely close as the door hinges from the top came off, the toilet seat was a smaller size and moved a lot I could live with that. The deal breaker for me were all the little cockroaches in the room I must have killed like 6 and there was a dead spider on the bedsheets. One of the little cockroaches got in the refrigerator. Spoke to the front desk about a few of these thing and nothing was done. I really wanted to review this hotel higher but the insect were too much for me. Wanted to stay at the Rosen but was fully booked.

If I could give 0 stars I would have. The worst experience ever! The hotel smells everywhere, there was water dripping from my roof. And when I asked to change my room they refused to do it and wouldn't even refund me. When I asked to leave early the guy wouldn't even let me check out. Don't bother staying here even for a night. I had to book a hotel double the price last minute because I couldn't tolerate it even for a night. This hotel should be shut down for good.

This hotel is terrible. Please stay away. The hallway is smelly, dirty and filled with trashbags, the floors are sticky and dirty, the towels are hard, there was no cleaning during our stay (3 days) and the whole place just feels like someone just let it go and don't care. The location is good, but that's not enough to make up for the rest. Don't save thee money - find a better place to stay.

Stayed here until our resort room was ready in disney. Our room here was BROKEN INTO by squatters that this place has apparently have had continued problems with. They found a room key that hadn't been deactivated ( I don't think any of them ever are really) and went door to door until they were able to break into our hotel room while we werent in it and we showed up as they were in there. We had to call the cops and everything. The managers were kind enough and obviously apologetic but apparently the owners couldnt care less and had no intentions on fixing any of the issues going on there. My advice is definitely avoid this place like the plague if they won't get better security protocols in place. If that wasnt bad enough, we also saw a roach in the bathroom. Tskecmy advice and just pay the extra to go somewhere else! The Surfside inn ( owned by Universal studios) is right across the street and 1000× better and more worth it than this place.

Wasn’t what we expected. Not the best rooms to be honest but not terrible. The beds were pretty uncomfortable, the walls were thin we could hear the neighbors, but the main issue is the bathroom. The water pressure in the shower was bad while the sink would be too high, and there were roaches… I think the main benefit of this hotel is the location.

This is NOT a 3-star hotel nor should it have "good" ratings. It's more like a 1-star (barely) rundown motel. The exterior, interior, and the room itself were all filthy. There were smells everywhere. The WiFi didn't work. The room door didn't shut all the way unless you pulled it close. There was only one washcloth. The towels were stained. The shower/tub had grime around it. There was no hot water. The bathroom door came off the hinges when it was opened. There was a lot of dust and moisture in the room. The beds were extremely small and sat low. The pillows were ridiculously flat. The blanket that was supposedly the comforter was stained and didn't smell clean. There was only one available outlet. The paint was chipped. There were holes in the walls. The floor was dirty. The ONLY good thing about this place is the location of it BUT even with that, it's not worth the price. Take my advise and book elsewhere.

It's affordable. It's basic. It's a place to sleep. The ac is fully functional. Vehicles have been secure. Don't expect a ritzy experience or newest decor. We don't come here for that. It's the closest non resort hotel to the universal parks ($8uber ride or 15min walk to the shuttle at endless summer). Across from a waffle house and twistee treat. We've stayed here 3x this year and will continue to come back.

We booked a room for 3 days through Priceline. When we got the room, we had to push on the door w might to open it as well as use for it to close. The room had an odd smell. The beds were hard as rocks and creaked constantly. There was no fridge and microwave like advertised. There were absolutely no towels. Noise up and down the hallway. We woke up to find these tiny bugs that looked like a combination of a flee and ant walking on the counter in the bathroom and on the wall around the bathroom door. Now the hotel is deciding on IF they will refund us our $160.00 AND we have to wait until possibly Friday to hear what they decide. Bc they don't do refunds. I'm sorry I'm NOT STAYING W BUGS!!!! Priceline feels horrible but it's the hotel's choice! DO NOT STAY HERE!!!!!!!!!

Well I will let my pictures speak for themselves, but this place is the worst hotel I’ve ever encountered. It’s terrible and disgusting. I cannot list one redeeming feature of this dump. Was the worst part the exposed wiring? The cracked and broken outlets? The broken bathroom door? The collapsing vanity? The moldy AC? Rusty screw sticking out of the rotted door? The cracked walls and dirty trim? The black hairs under the sheets? The 2” gap under the main door? The disgusting mattresses? The mattress was like a midevil torture rack and the pillows were a joke. Should I continue? I’m here right now waiting for a roach to crawl on me while I sleep..I would rather be in a tent along the highway but didn’t bring mine so stuck here for now. I’m not a Nancy boy…this place is a dump..my wife booked this last minute from Priceline who obviously is featuring fake or false reviews about this place. Lord almighty please avoid this place if you have any self worth. You will need a chiropractor and a shrink the next day. Should be called the House or Horrors Hotel. This is a complete dump, any review over 1 star is either a lie or from 25 years ago. We are native Floridians and stayed here for one night just as a layover until our reservation at the Loews was ready and it was a big mistake. We relied on reviews from Priceline and their algorithm somehow misled us into thinking this place was halfway decent- shame on them. I hope my review and photos let you discover the truth for yourself. The department of health and the building department should condemn this place- it’s an embarrassment and I feel bad for any poor saps who made the stupid mistake of coming here.

Counted at least 20 little bugs in the bed ALONE. Praying it isn’t bed bugs, they’re really tiny. Smaller than ants.. Do not recommend, not clean. No towels first 3 days during our stay, we had to use our own. They charge an additional $100 deposit on top of what I already paid and then $5 additional mandatory a night for “wifi” and 2 other things.

  • 1/5 Fred G. 2 years ago on Google
I wouldn't recommend this place to my friends or family. The room smelled like mold and cigarets. The wifi couldn't not be reached in our room, only in the lobby. They have a gym that was closed. They had a game room that was also closed. Never coming here again. Pay a little extra and go to a better hotel.

We stayed for 1 night as a family. Our room smelled like cigarettes. I asked the front desk if the pillows were feather and they replied that they didn't know. I then told them I was highly allergic to feather pillows and they responded with "I don't think they are based on when I picked them up" rather than actually going to find out. The mattresses were extremely uncomfortable and none of us got any sleep. In the morning, there were 2 cockroaches in the bathroom. When we reported them, the woman at the front desk, asked if they were alive or dead, she didn't offer any compensation or even apologize. We will never return.

Pools locked. Gym closed looks like forever. Cleaner stole my debit card out of my room. Good hotel for the price, room fairly clean. Location is great.

Room had sticky dirty floors. Light didn't work in bathroom. Front desk didn't speak English and had a teenager trying to help translate in lobby. When we asked for manager they refused to answer and said they 'didn't have time for this'. Charged $100 deposit that wasn't anywhere in writing except when you check in at desk. We were charged $86 a night. Should have been $50 for the trap house. Hair dryer was broken but that was just icing on the dirt cake. Ants in bathroom. Weed smell throughout hallways and AC smelled like straight cigarettes. I do not recommend., there are cheaper hotels with clean rooms and actual customer service.

Now I know why this hotel wouldn't have flagship or they couldn't maintain customer service or property, Let me say I stayed there five nights 24th to 29th December 2021 last day of checkout I requested fot late checkout to Front Desk(Mr. Paul)because of Heavy traffic of covied testing appointment was delayed, at noon he send Breakfast Lady to room and said can you please call to Front desk. We was packing our bags I called Mr. PAUL. He was so rud and DAER to me you are get charged for half day if you do not checkout by 1pm. That's why they are geting this Review.

This was by far the worst hotel experience I have ever encountered. There were bugs in the bed of our first room. I went down to the front desk to inform staff and after waiting in a long line of unsuspecting guests to tell the person behind the desk, I was met with complete indifference. Their lack of apology and shock shows me that this is a commonplace issue for them. I was given a different room, which had a large patch of mold on the bathroom ceiling. Would not recommend this establishment. I don't care for the aesthetics or amenities of a hotel but paying to sleep with bugs and inhaling mold is unacceptable. We only stayed because we were there for business and did not have time to arrange alternate last minute accomodations. Miserable stay.

My son and I stayed here because it was close to attractions. The price was unbelievable low per night. $35/night. The place was dated and old but the staff was friendly and helpful. The money we saved went towards attractions at Disney. You get what you pay for is the old adage. Overall C+

Horrible. If I could give no stars I would. On arrival we were given a key and told the room was on the 2nd floor. We hauled all three kids and luggage up to the 2nd floor just to find out our room is actually on the 1st floor, even though the key cards have 307 written on them and the envelope had 229 written on it. So, after that up and down , dragging kids and luggage everywhere we finally get to our room which only has two small beds for five of us. In the reservation I put 5 people and the ages of all three children. The floor is sticky, there’s no light bulbs in the lamps, the bathroom had black hairs all over the wall, door, floor and sink. It’s now 1:05am and the people in the hall are playing music loudly, people are in and out of their rooms to smoke weed and cigarettes which the entire room, hotel and even elevator wreak of. I’m not opposed but I am not fond of walking my kids through any type of smoke or having to put a towel under our room door to try to keep the smoke and smell out. This place charged me for the room, a key charge and $100 deposit…they need to give me $100 and my room charge back so I can sterilize my family and all of our belongings. This place is not family friendly and should have the health department called and maybe the fire marshal…. Since I’m obviously not going to get any sleep here due to the noise and smell maybe I’ll use the time to look up those numbers / emails and get the ball rolling to make sure no one else has to go through this. HORRIBLE.

This place deserves negative stars. Not only did I have "work here" because no one would bring us anything. We had to get our own sheets, towels, garbage bags, toilet paper. The beds a rock hard and sit on top of a wood board. The air conditioning leaks and they don't care. There was mold in my room and my whole family got sick. The hospitality is terrible here. Never again. I do not recommend this place. I will be asking for a refund

I stayed here 3 days...and ended up in a different room each day. Day 1, room 130: This room smelled like mildew. The TV didn't work at first but maintenance came in and scanned channels then it worked. We changed rooms when we discovered there was NO HOT WATER. Staff says the water heater on the "even side" often malfunctions. The fridge was missing from this room. Day 2, room 237: The TV didnt work again but I scanned channels like I saw maintenance do the day before. This room had hot water but when the guests next door showered, water spewed from the bathroom walls and pieces of ceiling and wall began falling into the shower, so they moved us again. Staff told me the guests next door also had to change rooms due to water leaking. This room didn't smell like mildew, but smelled like a light pee scent. Day 3, room 240: This room smelled fine and had hot water. The pool was nice. The game room was not open. No breakfast. Staff was great, Simone is very sweet.

If I could give it 0 stars I would. I stayed 6 days in that badly named hotel. cleaning is the worst. in reception there is a sign that says that due to lack of cleaning staff, the bedding will be changed every two days, LIE IS A BIG LIE. On the third day I went down to reception to ask why they had not changed the bed linen and they did not put clean towels and they told me that they do it every third day. that was supposed to be our third day and so that day they would change bed linen and towels. in the afternoon when I returned to the room they only made the beds (they didn't change anything) and took the dirty towels (they didn't leave clean towels) luckily I had my own towels. I definitely do not recommend this place. the location is the only good thing, because it is close to everything. Unfortunately they don't take advantage of that.

Probly one of the best value hotel in I drive. The rooms are not modern or updated but good enough if you just need a place to stay and sleep they got a pool and restaurant next to it it's close to everything you can walk to Universal if you want to be aware of their fees ask if they charge for anything limited housekeeping but if you need new towels or anything just go to the desk they got a microwave fridge irons in rooms. If you want a budget friendly hotel room this is one of it.

Hotel was cheap, quiet, and did what I needed it to do. Wasn't there for any of the parks, but it was the closest hotel to Daytona I could afford. Rooms were NOT impressive. Beds were ok, but the rest was blah. Dresser drawers, broken and wouldn't close right. Nightstand, broken and wobbly. Bathroom door scraped the floor and had chunks missing on the bottom. There were roaches in the bathroom, which made me terrified to take a shower. The weird (looked like mold) spot on the bathroom ceiling didn't help that either. And lord knows not nearly enough outlets. Had to unplug the lamp to use the microwave. There were literally 2 outlets in the whole room. We unplugged the phone and bed lamp so we could charge our phones. Pool bar was boarded up and shut down, which sucked because it certainly didn't say that when I booked it. The hallways had this icky moldy wet smell. Place desperately needs renovation. And a $100 deposit? Absurd. I know, it's crazy close to universal and all, but that 100 could probably have replaced all that cheap broken furniture. You truly get what you pay for. I've worked for hotels, and the conditions of that room were beyond subpar. Service was great, the ladies at the desk were very efficient. I love speedy check ins.

We had planned to stay there three nights but when we showed up the first night, it was rough. Both AC units in room weren’t working, bullet holes in elevator mirror and babies crying while a guy was looking out in the hallway to see if anyone was coming. Sketchy as it can get but I did call and ask to get refund for the second two nights and they gave it back in full. So I do appreciate that. If looking for a safe stay, don’t stay here

Not bad. No need for the extra 'resort fee' when none of your amenities are available. Game room is closed. Fitness center is closed. Pool is closed because it's cloudy and rainy?!

  • 2/5 Nicole G. 1 year ago on Google
So, it's in a good location, the staff are nice, but the rooms are so bad. We had a two bed room and one of the beds was just straight up broken. The mattresses are like wood planks and you have to stack two pillows to almost get the thickness of one normal pillow. The ac unit was so loud and did almost nothing, when it's 90° out that's not a great thing. The sheets were a bit stained as well. You could see into the hotel room from the hallway because of a big gap in the door. On top of this we had to pay a small resort fee to pay for wifi and the safe and other things that you would find at a hotel which was just kinda insulting for the poor quality of everything. I like cheep hotels and motels, I'm on a small budget these days but this one just ain't it.

  • 2/5 Emily G. 1 year ago on Google
First day , I had to ask for room service, because the floors were dirty, and the bedsheets were all stained and had hairs, cockroaches in the bathroom/room. Most of the outlets were not working. The remote for the TV was not working the bathroom tub and sink were both clogged I had to unclog the tub myself. Besides that front end ladies were very nice.

Not very clean and charged an early check in fee never had to do this. And the fee was 80$ is absolutely insane. They are just taking advantage of people they told me 35$ on the phone and when arrived was 80$ and the front desk lady just wanted to blame the system. Just another way to get more money out of good people by making it so oh your here and you can’t get your money back
