The
ONLY
thing
going
for
this
place
is
the
location.
The
room
was
barely
livable,
the
check
in
staff
were
rude
difficult,
and
the
heyday
of
the
property
was
about
a
quarter
of
a
century
ago,
which,
coincidentally,
was
probably
last
time
the
rooms
were
cleaned.
The
place
gave
away
my
room,
even
tho
they
knew
I
wasn’t
going
to
be
in
til
late.
I
have
a
mobility
scooter
and,
if
there’s
no
elevator,
HAVE
to
have
a
ground
floor
room.
When
I
made
a
stink
about
it,
suddenly
they
found
a
room.
I
tried
calling
the
front
desk
on
the
way
there
7
different
times
with
no
answer.
The
bathroom
had
a
heavy
smell
of
mold
and
there
were
only
two
towels..
those
were
the
ONLY
linens:
no
wash
cloths,
no
floor
mat,
no
hand
towels.
Nada!
The
microwave
had
food
crusted
all
over
the
inside,
I
guess
for
a
snack
for
later.
The
desk
fell
apart
in
my
hands
when
I
went
to
open
a
drawer
and
this
NON-SMOKING
room
smelled
of
weed
plus
there
were
cigarette
burns
in
the
bed
linens.
To
be
fair,
the
AC
worked
very
well
and
the
fridge
worked
well.
At
about
1
am…
the
smoke
detector
battery
decided
it
needed
to
be
changed
and
incessantly
“chirped”
every
other
minute.
I
tried
calling
the
front
desk
and,
surprise,
no
answer!
Had
to
get
dressed
and
go
down
there
and
their
response
was
to
remove
it
from
the
wall
altogether.
Sure..why
not
add
“fiery
death
in
the
biggest
firetrap
in
Florida”
to
my
bucket
list.
It
was
about
a
mile
to
Universal,
which
was
nice,
but
this
was
literally
the
only
reasonably
priced
room
I
could
find
on
a
holiday
weekend
so
moving
somewhere
else,
not
to
mention
the
epic
hassle
I
could
only
imagine
that
getting
a
refund
would
be,
was
not
possible.
Avoid
the
Floridian
Express
at
all
costs.
