Beautiful restaurant, excellent service, and the food was AMAZING! Went for Taco Tuesday not knowing what to expect (on website, but no details) and we were all surprised and pleased with our options. You can choose chicken, steak, carnitas, pastor, or birri tacos all at $2 each! This is fresh-Mex or more original than most. Small, handmade tortillas (think street tacos) that are NOT smothered in lettuce and cheese. The chicken was grilled and seasoned perfectly, topped with diced onions and cilantro. TO DIE FOR! Chips and salsa also served, salsa was unique and delicious. Highly recommend this spot.

Best Mexican food on the east coast. The food is fresh, plated beautifully, everything is made to perfection. I really can’t suggest this place enough. We have been looking for a place like this. We will be frequent visitors of Monarca.

Wow! The BEST shrimp and Birria tacos!! Seriously one of the best Mexican restaurants we've ever been too. The handmade tortillas were so fresh and delicious! Friendly and attentive staff. We don't even live in Ormond Beach but will definitely be back. It was empty at lunch on a Saturday... Go support this great, local, family business!!

Fabulous food and staff. They have vegan options, specifically the veggie fajitas with black beans and alternative rice option. Their salsa is wonderful and their mitcalatas are unbelievable! Highly recommend.

So happy I stumbled across this spot. Food came out quickly. I ordered the sopes, ceviche, birria tacos, and burritos. We also ordered the pepino and passion fruit margarita. It is a very relaxing spot even for a Saturday night. I would definitely return. It is in a shopping center.so plenty of parking.

Conveniently located on Granada Blvd. we had a large party of about 20 and Monarca’s staff was friendly and service was fast. The shrimp enchiladas were tasty and filling. The pico and guacamole for chips were fresh and my blue margarita hit the spot. They even split the checks for us. Will definitely go back again soon.

The best Birria tacos I’ve found! You can taste the full flavor in every bite from the slow marinating/cooking of the meat. So delicious! Staff was great and friendly. New favorite spot in Ormond!

The food and service were wonderful. My flan was yummy, and the server brought 3 spoons so I could share. They've only been open for a few months, so I hope they continue the great experiences.

This place was very very good. Great bar area which we look for. Our friend had an avocado margarita which was amazing! The house margarita and mojito were good. The 1/2 bean 1/2 queso was unique and delicious. Honestly the only thing that kept them from getting 5 stars was price. Unfortunately I feel that's very "ormond beach" these days. Absolutely worth a visit, we'll be back.

I'm actually debating on giving them 5 stars but will wait to go back a second time and try some more. The chips were served warm (nice!), and the salsa had a very good flavor. The chicken quesadilla was good, but not the best I've ever had, still - very good. The guacamole served with the quesadilla had way too much sodium in it to be enjoyed. They could stand to lay off the added sodium in the guacamole. The burritos were also tasty. The service was great and they were very friendly. The portions of the food seemed a bit too deliberate. For instance, they seemed to have perfectly measured out a cup of rice on your plate and perfect particular sized scoop of sour cream and guacamole, etc. It's a vibe that just feels stingy, so they could try not to make the portions seem so measured even if they are trying to stay on budget. The lighting was a bit too low in the long booth area, so if you have troubles reading the menu, it would be best to bring a light source with you. They are pretty new, so they are probably still working through some kinks. We are looking forward to trying more soon!

I completely loved this place. I was working in the area and decided to try a local restaurant. Once you pull into the plaza you can see it. It’s very colorful and vibrant logo welcomes you in. The staff are very attentive and friendly. The food tasted great and it had a great presentation. It’s authentic Mexican food, we had a lunch special fajita burrito along with tacos of asada. Delicious. I had two drinks I believe the skinny margaritas and they were on point. If your thinking about grabbing a guac I recommend the Mexican style… its basically fresh table side guacamole. Overall I would rate this place 10/10. I believe the pricing is decent for the quality you get. This would be my go to place if I was a local.

Recently visited with my family (our party had five toddlers as well!) and was very impressed. The passionfruit margarita was the best I have had! The carne asada was also fantastic along with everything else. I wish we lived closer so we could visit again but if you're looking for fantastic food, drinks and service I would highly recommend.

The strawberry margarita and freshly made mojito were both delicious. The guacamole was fresh and tasty. We got al a carte menu items as we weren't super hungry. I chose the shrimp taco and my friend chose chicken. We both liked them. I thought the beans were a little chunky, but the taste was good.

This food was sooo yummy! I would recommend to anyone in Daytona. Chips were served warm and mojito was super fresh. Ceviche was very tasty and fresh. It did not taste “fishy.” However, it did feel like there was more onion than fish in it. It was so nice to see that the menu had an entire vegetarian section, and my refried bean burrito was delish (though a bit runny). The Alambre also had incredible flavor. Can’t go wrong with anything here. :) Some of the best Mexican I’ve had.

Clean restaurant, excellent Service, (Maria). The Sangria was really refreshing. I had the Caldo de Pollo, a Birria Taco and a Steak Taco. My wife had the Brochetas and really enjoyed it. Overall excellent experience and Maria was excellent as well.

Everything was absolutely amazing. The salsa, the drinks, the food and the service. 11/10! We came on cinco de mayo and it was slammed but the service was still great. The margaritas are a little expensive but sooooo worth it. Will definitely be going back!

My daughter and I visit this location when we left the beach on October 21,2023. And it was our first time visiting. Our whole experience was amazing and very pleasant and the staff was really helpful and friendly. I asked the hostess who sat us outside how long they been open she said a year. The food was hot and delicious and the drink was on point I didn’t have to send it back to be strong or buy another shot. First was awesome keep it up. We need great customer service.

My new favorite Mexican restaurant in town! I’ve been 3 times in the last 2 weeks it is so good. Food is delicious. Literally the best birria tacos in town, in my opinion. The sampler appetizer platter was also a great deal and very tasty. Guacamole is fresh with large chunks of avocado and queso is excellent as well. Happy hour (2-5pm) had 2 for 1 house margaritas, which were surprisingly very good, you can tell they use fresh juices and not that awful sour mix. Also loved their spicy margarita so much! Drink menu is very creative and drinks are a work of art. Atmosphere is also lovely and service is always fast. Big fan of Monarca, and will continue to come back.

We visited here tonite and it was so amazing!! My husband had Enchiladas Rancheras, I had birria tacos. The chips were on point! Warm and thick for dipping in the delicious salsa and queso!! Salsa had a nice smokiness flavor!!! Mango margaritas were refreshing!! The rice and beans authentic as you can get!!!! We will be back as a local favorite!!!!

Great tacos, pork was cooked to perfection w a crunchiness to it! Guacamole was made fresh,very good and loved the queso very yummy. Order came out quickly and staff was very polite and on top of things! We will definitely be back!
