This park is so lovely I could not believe I was in London and not the countryside. Extremely clean park and clean facilities as well which always makes a difference. The bar and Cafe here are really good and there's just tons of green and trees to walk around. Definitely coming back here again, there's an easy bus from Lewisham station right to the park

I love this park almost as much as Greenwich Park. The land is massive with an assortment of views and a number of seats. They have a manor, cafe, garden, lake, bike trail, you name it! The grounds are well maintained. Though I've no idea about the loo situation because I haven't had the need to use one but they probably have good toilets in the cafe. A must visit for picnic goers.

A lovely park which is a gem in London. I take the dog in the early mornings when it’s quiet and it’s a dream, particularly in the sunshine. Lots of open space, walking routes and gardens which are maintained. It’s a wonderful space to be in and the amenities are good. A couple of coffee shops and some food options. There’s a market every Sunday which means it gets pretty busy on Sundays. There is a car park near the mansion but it’s small, easily gets full during peak times at the weekend. It’s also only payable by app and has rates set by emissions. I’d recommend downloading the app before you go (it’s called PayByPhone) to avoid signal issues. The car park location number is 803754.

Big open space for the family or anybody. Play games have you daily exercises. The inside was adequate for owners selling their goods. I also expected more stalls outside a little food market. Would go again for the peace its wasn't over crowded.

This location is ideal for summer time picnics. Lots of trees and green spaces and woodland for great walks. The land is more or less level so easy for disabled and elderly.

Bpp big advantage is it's size. It's one of the largest green areas around. It's also very varied with woods, meadows and grass hills. They are also good facilities near the house as well as a formal garden. The playground could definitely be better. For dog walkers it's an ideal size. If you are an open water swimming fan your luck is in. My only complaint really is also it's advantage it's open 24*7 which means I'm not sure about being there late at night.

I adore this gorgeous park, so abundant in the love and wonderment it provides for so many beings, the wildlife it supports, the people from far and near, with their loved ones, kids and dogs. It's such a blessing to have this amazing place close by!

A beautiful relaxing place to visit. The parkland was laid out by John Cator in the late 18th century when he built the mansion. So many beautiful trees and gardens near the old stables. There is a cafe, kiosk and fantastic playground for kids. Lots of walks.

We arrived late afternoon. The car park charges up until 5pm via the pay to park app with charges depending on your car's CO2 rating. The park was pleasant and clean. Facilities catered for children more than most parks. It was a pleasant could of hours.

A breath of fresh air from the hustle and bustle of London. Has a huge woods to get lost in open fields. Water activities for the kids and a huge mansion which was good for a photo opportunity. Very dog friendly as there are huge fields and wooded areas for the dogs to roam. Perfect for a picnic on a sunny day 😎

Great nature place for a walk with or without your dog. It feels a bit like Richmond, just without deers but with a lake instead. And without those posh Londoneers.

Absolutely love this park, beautiful scenic, peaceful as well as busy and loads of things on. Cold water swimming and paddle boarding can be booked online, and is super popular in the summer. Amazing swimming for dogs in the river and some man made mud ponds! Forest and space as well as a wonderful cafe with vegan options! Huge children’s play area, pop up festivals and a second hand clothes sand furniture shop where I’ve jabbed a bargain or two! Parking is expensive but plenty of free nearby - if you don’t mind walking in. Probably my favourite park in London.

One of the best park in London. Large area of green place to have a walk. There is a small kid play area and cafe is also nearby with toilets. Lights display and Christmas fun fair going on at the moment. Pay and display parking is near the main entrance. Make sure you pay and display if you park within the park or you will get a fine. There are plenty of free residential parking nearby with a a short walk. Bring a picnic blanket in the summer for picnic. Recommended to all.

Lovely park with various different terrains - a forest, lake and fields. Our dog loves it there. Only let down for me personally are the snacks and hot drinks on offer.

A real treasure, it rambles on so lots to explore. Nice spots to get food/drinks with vegan options. Great for dog walking followed by a dog ice-cream. They hold great events like antique fairs. There's a swing park for the kids and a lovely flower garden and not to forget the wild swimming that you need to book in advance.

Lovely and huge green space, great for walks and hence mostly used by dog owners and runners. They have a nice cafe for a little treat. The early mornings can be a bit tricky to walk on when there are so many worms on the paved paths but otherwise its a really lovely place to connect with nature!

5/5 if you just stay near the lake like most of these reviews. πŸ™„ If you travel off the beaten path you will find a lot of rubbish and at various locations there is old rusty metal sticking out of the ground. My dog hurt herself running into a metal fence that was buried in the ground near west gate road, it's very sharp and dangerous. I hardly ever see any staff venture past the lake. It's like who ever runs the park doesn't really care for it pasted the mansion and coffee shop. As for the glendale end (downham end) In about 10 years of me pretty much using this park daily I would estimate I have seen the staff 20 times. There is often motorcycles that have been burnt out then dumped on the fields or pushed into the river & that can take months for the parks staff to remove, all the while being a hazard to use users but mainly our dogs all chemicals and fluids leaking onto the grass and in the water. Currently there's a hole in the field that I know many dog walkers have reported yet months later glendale have yet to even mark it so that people don't fall into it. It was dog walkers (the Spaniel ladies) they went to the trouble of covering the hole and making others aware of the issue.

I was presently surprised. I lived locally for years and that it was just a park . However we find a small bar, cafes serving pizzas and homemade cakes. Also a dog food shop selling quality food. There also a beautiful garden volunteer vegetable patch for lol food banks. A safe children's at area with sand. There's a payable carpark with paybyphone.

Great Park, lots of places to explore. Woodland, open grass lands, expanses of water with activities. Great for walking. There are too many dogs running about though bothering people minding their own business.

Came here for a friend's birthday over a June weekend. They all went swimming in the lake here but I arrived later on. They said the swimming was great. They booked slots and paid for it ahead of time. It's a beautiful park. Especially when it's sunny. They had toilets available next to the lake until late afternoon. Where in the day they have a little shop and restaurant. . Bring your own picnic, music speakers, and toilet roll and you're set for a delightful afternoon here.

I've lived in Lewisham 18 years, and only just visited Beckenham Palace Park. Apparently it used to be a private golf course. It's a real gem and a wonderful place to retreat from traffic and busy streets. Kids loved it. Right now it has a fun fair, winter fair, and a Circus big top for Christmas season. It's dreamy

This is a large park with lots of different things to explore. I hadn't heard of this park before I visited in February as part of walking The Capital Ring, but I would be happy to visit here again to explore more if it.

This park is one of the most beautiful parks in Bromley, is big, safe, local, friendly, normally I go with my doggies or just for a walk on my own. I love Beckenham place park ❀️

I visited this park few days ago. I simply loved the place. It is one of the visiting spots for visitors in London. One thing I observed is many of the local people are coming to place park with their pet dogs. I could observe more dogs than number of humans over there !!!! There is a natural pool to swim and enjoy. The mansion is quite old. A good one to visit and peace.

The park is being well maintained and developed, playground, pond and garden. The food market had a great selection of stalls, however the wait for a coffee in the courtyard was not tempting, having to stand in the rain behind 30 others, so may never know if it's worth the wait.

We are so lucky to have this beautiful park on our doorstep. It is so big with so many areas to discover. Can enjoy in all seasons thanks to the great facilities - wood fired pizzas, cafe, bars, music and events for all the family and the fur babies!

A wonderful park with a great cafΓ©, good playground, lovely lake and a marvellous myriad of woodland walks. You can go to be sociable or to get away from it all. Amazing amount of greenery and space easily accessible in the midst of delightful South East London.

Very nice recreation park. When I went there, it started raining. The view of lake in the middle was fascinating. Jogging pavement needs to be reconstructed cz it was slippery during the rain and rain water made it muddy. Parking ticket machine was out of order, hope I won't get a ticket..

Lovely park, consistently good with excellent facilities and wild feel.

We went during the afternoon today and there were a lot of people. However there was enough space between people so not a problem. Limited car parking space so plan the journey. Some parking meters were not taking coins and the card payment was not working. The mobile app or telephone service is available. Don't be tempted to park on the grass verge on approach to car park as we saw lots of cars with penalty notices! Only one cafe on site with lots of people queuing for hot food and coffee! Ice cream van was around as well. Several toilets were available though. Saw some people wild swimming though the lake was fenced off in parts. Good for kids of all ages as there is a playground for younger kids and also climbing area for junior aged kids. Best time will be morning and early afternoon. Gets busy after that.
