I’ve had really tasty plant burgers here but today’s review is based on my Christmas Day lunch in 2022. I’ve visited this venue for Christmas lunch every year since 2016, aside from the year we were locked down, and it’s such a shame to see the food go downhill so much. The staff are really friendly and it’s proved to be good value for money in the past. Today really was a disappointment. All portions were really small, compared to the veggie options we’ve had in the past, with several accompaniments sadly lacking. Compare the first picture from a few years ago to the second one, taken today. The veggie/vegan menu never really changes (making it a bit boring) so I always order the vegan bake which normally tastes like delicious vegetarian stuffing. This year I was served what looked and tasted like a burnt, dry, veggie burger. No parsnips or carrots, a tiny helping of gravy, and despite asking for my meal to be reheated, it was still stone cold. Potatoes were rubbery on the outside and raw on the inside and there was a really long wait in between the starter and main. Maybe our dishes were left lying around to go cold and dry? But the portion size and lack of variety, flavour and taste in general was such a let down and I’m afraid we won’t ever return on Christmas Day.

Nice place with good atmosphere. Polite helpful staff, unfortunately everyone’s including children’s food was way over fried, either or oil was old. Attached photos how dark it was and tasted dry, no taste of chicken just oil. New on menu side dish j Jalapeño cream cheese same bad. Sorry for chefs but way…over cooked. Salmon was okay. Thank you. Children enjoyed the place and salads were nice.

A nice family friendly restaurant; good ambiance for kids and staff are nice. The salad parlour has reasonably variety and is good. My sirloin steak was burnt and not tasty. The ice cream dessert was just bland. I just ate with a straight face 😐 If a cozy family environment is your thing, the crooked Billet is your go to place; if you have a discerning taste in food, however, I would suggest a reconsideration.

We were there with the family on Christmas day and the reason for my negative review isn't the restaurant itself. The food was in fact ok and we received a good service. The place was tidy and so was the toilet, even if that day was quite busy. The only aspect we didn't like was the Christmas menu, that wasn't transparent at all. Prices weren't listed and when we received the bill,it was at least double of the price of what we usually pay on the main course. I understand prices increase during the festivities, but that was a rip-off. The company should be more clear on the offer and provide menus with prices.

Now years ago this harvester was brillant maybe one of the best in south east london, but now sadly gone down hill, the grounds are in a terrble state as you drive into the car park at the back plus there is a sort of over grown beer garden if you can call it that right at the back. Food was hit and miss, as you see in the photo the jacket potato 🥔 was terrbile so we spoke to the guy at the front he told him about the food and he replied " I will be with you iam just finishing this email" shocking reply no customer service. So unfortunately harvester we wont be coming back here.

The chips were cold. The mushrooms were cold. Tomatoes were really overdone and shivered up. The onion rings were rock solid. I order medium-rare steak, it was raw inside. Two out of my 6 guests felt unwell the following day. I took my son here to celebrate his 18th birthday, it was a huge disappointment. The waitress was friendly and refunded one meal.

We had our dinner lastnight at this branch (Birthday dinner). The taste of the food was good but the portions of what we ordered doesn't look right. The half chicken? ribs? and the sweet potatoes? Unfortunately, we were suprised. We asked Georgia/Harvester staff as to why the portions had changed and it looks smaller than before - she was lovely but she said alot of customers has complained in the past and nothing has been done by the management. I think Harvester Bromley should listen to this feedback. We would love to eat there again provided that this feedback gets to the management and hopefully they will do something about this. The money we paid was not worth on what we ordered, We feel like we have overpaid.

Food was cold. Some was more hotter than other parts of dinner. I noticed fish was left on the underpass for at least 10 minutes before being moved on. When I was leaving I noticed half plates if food just waiting at the underpass for more food to be cooked. This is a health and safety issue. I asked to speak with the manager who was kind enough to apologise and told the chefs to cook the food fresh.

Received voucher offer for 50% off, but table booking didn't work all day. When arrived at 19:10 was told waiting time for restaurant for 1 person 90 minutes. No option to order at bar due staff shortage. Joke really!

Staff are polite enough. However, I don't know why they charge you for a pint of blackcurrant when you ask for "Guinness & Black". No other pub or establishment does other than Harvester and stupid Toby Carvery (which have the same owner!).

The bad thing about the food was the chips. Cheap, not very good chips. The meals were excellent. Meat is cooked to your preference, tasy and nice. Salad bar well stocked, nice and fresh. Refill drinks are a winner, too. The lady that served us was very polite. Advised us about downloading the app to get a discount. 10 of us ate for £180. Works out £18 per head. Which is unheard of nowadays. The place was really busy, lots of families enjoying themselves. Car park is big, no worries about finding a space. Accessible to all, we had a gentleman in a wheelchair in our party. He navigated his was around without any issues at all. It was also his birthday, a cake with candles was brought out, we all sang happy birthday. With other guests looking on. Everybody clapped when he blew the candles out. There was a real sense of community throughout the place. No complaints, we all had a great night. We will be going back 👍

Positives - Great service, nice restaurant, main course nice had original combo swapped to dirty fries. Red Devil Sauce is the best sauce in house! Negatives - Slow bar service Salad bar was completely empty had to ask a member of staff to refill. Was not a full restaurant at the time I went up to the salad bar. Photo attached when it was refilled. Overall nice experience and booth seating. Young Gentleman who served us was exceptional - the service here is actually better than my local Harvester in Beulah Hill. Would come again.

Been here a few times for dinner and it’s always been lovely. Had breakfast there today with a friend and it was delicious. Best hash browns I’ve ever had. Can I mention our lovely server Lorna…she was busy but so attentive and efficient. Really good to her customers. I live in Gravesend but this Harvester is worth the extra journey

Great range of food selection on the set menu with really good prices for a full 3-course (plus unlimited salad) option! Dirty burger was very nice and not too dry. I will always recommend the sundae’s at the harvester! Quite busy and hectic on a weekend but can’t complain about the service here!

It was a nice way to spend an afternoon with the family. We'd never go back to our local Crystal Palace location and this was a lovely drive out of our way. Food was good, service was adequate (nothing wrong but nothing to get excited about, she was probably on a long shift). Atmosphere was lacking but then it was a dull rainy Saturday, two young kids in tow and we sat in the dining area not the pub area. We'll definitely go back again. Can't beat a good Harvester!

Upon arrival, the welcome desk was empty, staff members popped back to the desk to get something 3 times without even acknowledging us there waiting. A simple “I’ll be right with you” rather than ignoring and welcoming your customers goes a long way. The waiting staff and food from that moment forward was excellent though. On our way out, again there was nobody at the welcome desk, a farewell and thanks for your custom goes a long way.

My steak was very undercooked when I asked for it well done,to the point it was sat in blood,I had to sit there waiting for ages before a waitress appeared so I could ask for it to be replaced. By the time the new one was brought back out everyone else had finished their dinners. Not great as we were out for my daughters birthday,I was sat there eating by myself.

Overall a very comfortable and friendly atmosphere with lovely food. Our server was Charlotte and she was very attentive and welcoming, nothing was too much trouble. Particularly around checking menu options for my child with allergies. We found the restaurant to be very relaxed and perfect for two young children. Thank you for a great experience !

Mains meals were amazing great quality and taste. The salad bar was a little empty and it took quite a while to refill it. Bread rolls were cold and stale and no new ones were supplied at all even when we had left still no fresh ones. Outside of this though the mains and desserts were great. The staff are very friendly and welcoming and the restaurant itself was quick to seat and serve us.

I had a truly wonderful experience at this restaurant! The food was delicious and the service was amazing. I was given a warm greeting as soon as I entered by a charming gentleman named David who was a breath of fresh air, and then a lovely lady named Lorna took our orders and served us. She was very polite, professional, and helpful the whole way through, and she even made us laugh. 10 out of 10, I would definitely recommend to a friend!

After a Christmas Shopping trip to Bromley, we decided to take the kids to Harvester for lunch. Our server was Lorna, and she was fantastic. Friendly and accommodating; always checking if we were okay and enjoy the food. The food was excellent with portion sizes perfect (huge). As a vegan, I was a bit apprehensive at first about what would be available. I was pleasantly surprised by the selection available and, blown away by the taste! We were also impressed with the kids menu and the variety available to them. Over all an outstanding experience! Thank you, crooked Billet Harvester and, thank you Lorna our wonderful server.

A really busy day will full sections of guests which kept on coming. Owen was great, he kept his cool, made sure he spoke with all of his tables and made it personal to each. A credit to the team. We enjoyed the original combo and the chicken waffle. Each meal was really tasty, good value for money and rather big. But best not to leave hungry.

Good value lunch menu and plenty of choice. The food itself was average.

Lorna was our server, she was very efficient, polite and checked we were happy during the meal. We all enjoyed the food which arrived in good time. My only issue would be that the chips were almost cold. Apart from that, we really enjoyed our lunch.

Everyone loves a Harvester and this didn't disappoint. Booked for a Saturday afternoon and had great service and a perfectly cooked well done steak. Desserts are delicious too. Very Happy customer.

Staff were polite and friendly. Would have preferred my chicken skewer to have been cooked more so the skin was crispy but I was far too hungry to have complained! Padron peppers were lovely, I did ask for more as a side but they come part of the skewer 🙄

Waited for ages to be seated Waited for ages for somebody to take our order Was sat for over an hour before we got even toast and then waited another half an hour for the rest of our breakfast while my 11 month old was sitting starving Food wasn’t even cooked properly so most of which was inedible But yet when it came to paying didn’t take staff 5 seconds to get the bill Won’t be attending for breakfast again Santa experience wasn’t great at all, just at guy at a table who said “what’s your name” Absolutely no enthusiasm what so effort and 0 effort. Plus who wants to be getting up after eating Our plan was to eat and then go and see Santa on our way out but this wasn’t possible because of food taking so long Our child didn’t like it anyway because by the time we went to see Santa it was past his lunch time so no breakfast or lunch at that point

Felt compelled to share how amazing Ethan and April were this evening. Nothing was too much trouble, Ethan was most accommodating with our large party upon arrival and April in particular was faultless in her success. She went above and beyond as a server. Thank you so much. .

The attention that Ellie gave to my wife and me was really professional, she was very attentive and kind to the needs of my wife who uses a cane, her attention to detail to keep an eye on us, making our lunch a special moment, it is a pleasure Go to a restaurant and eat good food, but it is even more pleasant to have people like Ellie who make the experience of going to eat a pleasant moment and make us feel welcome. Thank you very much Ellie for your good work, you leave the name of Harvest very high. kind regards Carlos Ruiz and family 😊👍
