Never again. Highly disappointed. Bolshy staff. Very average food in restaurant and breakfast. Run out of cereals, no butter, jam, no offer of topping up coffee.Room too hot. Nice bathroom but unsuitable for shaving, make up etc. We paid £220 for the room for 1 night and £94 extra for 2 mains and a shared pudding. At over £300 for a sleepless night with very average food and poor service I wouldn't call this either a treat or good value. Very disappointing especially when asked for gratuity.

I booked a surprise valentines day stay for my wife at the Dial House and cannot thank everyone enough for making it a truly memorable occasion. From start to finish - it's just a fantastic place to be and stay. The food is amazing. I had the steak, my wife pork belly (not her, the food!) Cannot fault anything. The chefs were superb. Attention to detail is really appreciated. Thank you to George and the gang for their friendly and professional service. We will be back again soon.

Lovely staff, delightful location, sad food. A Sunday roast for 3 that costs almost £20 a plate and takes an hour to show up should be good. It should not be lukewarm and served on cold plates. Soggy roast potatoes, cold and dry Yorkshire puddings, and missing sides are not a hugely rewarding way to spend £100. A generous offer of a free dessert to compensate was sadly too late to rescue the meal.

Booked here for dinner tonight (13/9), arrived early and started with a drink, my wife's gin was ok, but the flat lemonade in mine was how my evening was to progress, the wifes fish was fi e but my pulled pork burger still had a large bit of string in it, the waiter offered to take it away, but I was half way through and already checked the burger for any more contaminants, we paid for the food and left, no reduction in cost and no apology for either the flat fizz or the string in the food and as we were leaving our waiter was coming back from the corner shop with 4 pints of milk, perhaps they were not quite prepared for this evenings rush of about 4 people, anyway this has won the award of worst meal of the holiday so far, if your thinking of going here, I'd go across to the King's Arms instead, had a great meal there on Monday

Friendly staff, delicious food and someone had taken great effort and pride over the desserts. Only room for improvement was availability of a good wine pairing. Definitely recommend a visit.

Was very lucky to have the opportunity to stay. What a beautiful place, the lady who greeted me was an absolute wonder, she couldn’t be more pleasant and accommodating. The rooms are truly fantastic- each and everyone themed with style. Thank you for making my stay, just like your hotel, beautiful.

Been to the Dial House twice in the last month as we had a voucher. Went for Sunday lunch with friends on both occasions. Definitely did not live up to expectations. We felt the service was very poor on both occasions. On the first occasion the waiting staff were undertrained and the customer service was atrocious. As a example when we ordered coffee the waitress brought 4 coffees separately with cups and saucers held in two hands with thumbs on the cup rims!! Most unhygienic!! We did not pay the service charge which is added to the bill so you have to watch out for that. The second visit, today, was just as bad with different problems - the restaurant manager ended up spilling gravy all over the table!! We were disappointed with the food as well as the service this time. The service and the food are definitely not up to the 4 star rating.

Hopeless staff...Raw food (Burger) served, took it personally back to kitchen, whereupon the chef agreed and deposited into the bin with no apology. Apparently the same issue happened again to a dinner later that evening, unbelievable!!.....stickly table surfaces, chairs not fit for purpose. Short version of breakfast......waited 40mins....shocking....

One of the worst restaurant experiences we’ve had. Waited over an hour for our dinner and then we had to send it back. Under staffed and badly managed. For a restaurant charging those prices there’s no excuses. Avoid

The food was very poor. So disappointing compared to our last stay. I had to leave a big chunk of the starter as it was so dry and the main course was almost all over cooked. A real disappointing meal.

I took my mum here for breakfast for her birthday (she loves a breakfast) one Saturday morning and we had a lovely experience. The food and service were all excellent, whilst being quite reasonably priced. I look forward to returning at some point just with Mrs T. for some lunch or dinner.

I really wanted to be impressed by this place, after hearing/seeing so much about it and all the awards. Service, I should stress, was great. Very friendly, unashamedly novice waitress who did her absolute best to make a difference - and succeeded. Location and setting are great. Sign on the door advising 'ring the bell to access' resulted in someone shouting 'it' s open' from inside. But, perhaps, that's just quaint. Importantly, of course, food was generally very good. But... the confit duck?! My dining partner and I suffered shrapnel wounds when I first cut into what seemed to be a deep-fried pigeon leg. No silky smooth texture. No duck, apparently. It was awful! Fortunately, not enough of it for what I left to be noticeable. It was the only negative aspect but what a noticeable one. I'm charitable enough to think it was a blip in the kitchen but really question how any chef could have let it over the pass. A real shame because, otherwise, it's a great place.

Excellent Sunday lunch including a wonderful sticky toffee pudding. Nice selection of wines available by the glass.

Went for a roast, small portions, 8 people eating roasts and 2 lots of sides. Yorkshire and roast potatoes over done. Very brown yorkshire and tough potatoes. Desserts much nicer. Waitress did seem over worked and dropped cabbage over my nephew coat and neck - who is 9. I would have expected a manager to apologise - but guessing she didn't tell anyone what happened. She was young. Chicken on kids menu very salty. Not something an adult would eat so not good enough for kids.

Recently stayed at The Dial House for my wife's birthday. We only stayed one night but would highly recommend to anyone. The Sunday roast was delicious with an excellent range of wines (including fine wines), staff were attentive and very switched on. We stayed in the Africa room which was a stunning room with a bath at the bottom of the bed, it was extremely clean with a lot of interesting trinkets. It was extremely comfortable and the evening board on a Sunday had a good range of cheese's and the bottle of red was very tasty as well. Breakfast was excellent and the checkout process was simple. I'd give it 5*'s across the board and would definitely return.

Fantastic and Unique…the staff, the venue and the delicious food! All of 5 of us really enjoyed our meals. Staff were friendly, attentive and professional. The building was quirky and beautiful. Would definitely recommend and return!

Really unique place, beautiful thematically furnished rooms, all beautiful and cosy. The whole place is full with antique furniture that you can actually buy and take it home. There is a antique shop also with nice stuff if you like antique/retro stuff. Friendly staff and good value for money. Amazing food served at the restaurant. We loved the whole experience and the small village. The whole area is amazing and there are really nice places to visit no mater the season.

We were two couples who stayed overnight and had Sunday lunch. First, the 3-course lunch. We were in a bit of a hurry and the staff went out of their way to accommodate us. We pre-ordered our meal and were seated 15 minutes before the official opening time. Our starters came straight away followed by mains. We didn't feel at all rushed, but the staff were so efficient and geared up for our need to get away on time, that we even had time for desert! All thanks to the staff going out of their way to accommodate us. As for the food, it was fabulous. Very tasty and well presented. I would definitely dine here again. Now the room/overnight stay. The quirky rooms are spacious, comfortable and, in a word, fabulous. We stayed in RAJ. Plenty of room to sit and read, amazing bath and shower and a huge comfortable bed. Our companions stayed in ITALY and said the same as us. We would all love to go back and are planning when we will do that. The continental breakfast was good although took a long time which was fine for us as (unlike the lunch) we weren't in a hurry. On top of the food and room, the staff at this hotel were all friendly and polite and went out of their way to ensure we had a brilliant stay - which we did!

Food was great, but was a bit pricey. Service was a little slow too. An all round enjoyable evening, though.

Fabulous food, strange setting, it felt like we were having dinner in someone's kitchen. Service could have been better. A good experience but one I wouldn't do again

Quirky, likeable hotel with a restaurant and bar or is it the other way round? It's a very pleasant and friendly place to stay in the country town of Reepham. The bathroom was fab and the restaurant was excellent. I will go there again

Wine selection was good, and the Sunday set menu was great value. My friends had the roast, which looked delicious, and my gnocchi was very pretty but a tad on the dry side - could've done with a little more sauce 😊 The atmosphere is a little subdued, but lots of quirky decor and things to look at.

Beautiful restaurant with amazing interior and a really tasty and well executed menu. Perfectly understood their bistronomy philosophy through the dishes they served us. Service is attentive and every dish is executed to perfection showing innovation and research. We'll be back for sure.

Lovely, quirky,peaceful,relaxing... Highly recommended. Two night stay in the "Natural History" room. Gorgeous room with a fascinating secret room aspect to it. Added bonus of terrace. Only quibble would be around 2nd days breakfast. Wait of 30 minutes between coffee and food and differences from first mornings plate.(2 shredded wheat then 1+smooth orange juice to bits) But these would be the ONLY minor things that even the harshest of critics could've found in this gem of a residence. Attentive, cheerful staff and if any reviews moan about the parking IGNORE. Very simple once explained. Thank you for a superb stay.

A really lovely place. Charming, quirky with some whimsical features. Very friendly and professional staff and many of the tasteful items on display are for sale. I couldn’t recommend The Dial House strongly enough.

We had a most delicious lunch from the set menu today. Really superb as were the wait staff who did everything they could to accommodate our wishes. Thanks Dial House! 5 months later...another delicious meal. This time Sunday lunch. The waiting staff were great again.

Pretentious menu which is trying to offer London style .Sides are expensive Norfolk greens turned out to be a bowl of cabbage.Strong aroma of fish and garlic which is overpowering in the whole building. Noisy environment .Service area used end of restaurant.Resturant is cold. Very disappointing The standard of dishes presented do not live up to cheeky prices.

Had a lovely 2 night stay in the China Room. We’ve tried a few themed room places over the years and often been disappointed that description’s don’t live up to reality but not here! Luxurious room and huge well appointed bathroom. A very tasty cooked breakfast and friendly, helpful staff. Well worth the cost. We used the hotel as a base to look around Norwich which we also recommend, a gem of a city!
