Awesome and must visit place if you are traveling Guruvayoor. Open for visitors, only between 5 to 6pm. Around 250 steep steps to reach the top.

Getting up this lighthouse is quite a task but the view from up there is totally worth it. If you are not healthy or can't climb stairs, better don't try. The entry time to the top of lighthouse is from 4:15 PM to 5:45 PM. So don't expect to see sunset from the top. The entrance fee is ₹10 per person, and there is extra charge for taking mobile camera or a camera device. If I'm remembering it right, the fees for mobile camera is ₹5 and for camera device it is ₹25. Don't be a beggar about these charges and please support tourism and maintenance of this lighthouse. The stairs are designed like a spiral. So if you run up/ down the stairs, you might feel dizzy and tired by the time you reach the top. The view from top was really worth it. The chavakkad coastal line looks great under the golden rays of evening sun. The lighthouse is definitely one of the best place to visit if you are going to Chavakkad beach.

You could see the whole chavakkad and distant view of arabain see at a glance . Should experience the breeze over there the light is open to public after 5 .ticket rate is 10 per person and extra 10 Rs chargeable for photography . Sunset is so amazing over there . Also 6 km ride towards south to light house will reach azhimugam. There is a path way made of stone a walk over there is recommended to feel the lake on ur left and turbulent wave of arabain see on ur right .and also cold breeze over you. Plenty of fishers you could see on lake side .

This is a great route to drive along the seaside Not many traffic and a nice winding stretch, pretty great for riding your cycles. This light house here doesn't seem to be in use and seems to be in need of maintenance Note: Apologies for my finger in front of the lens 😁

Nice view from the top. Around 30 mtrs high skyview. Anyone can easily step up to the top including children. Information board says 3PM to 5PM but it may change by season. This September, the entry time was approximately one hour before sunset.ie, 5:15 PM till 6PM. One point I noticed that, the entry fee is collecting without any receipts and the rules on the board is not following. From my experience, the light keeper asked 40 rupees for 4 persons (2 adults and two children 6yrs and 11 years old ) and he was forced me to pay 10 rupees additional for mobile phone . I know that 10 rupees is not a big amount , and almost all the people are paying what he is asking. As an authorized person, the light keeper should inform the rules to the public and keep the fee board before entering the light house . Remember: only pay 10 rupees for adults and 3 rupees for children aged between 3-12 years and below 3 years is free. There is NO fee he can collect for mobile phones unless its a professional camera.

This place is not that many know of as a tourist point, many come to the near by Chavakkad beach and return. The view from the top of the light house has to be experienced rather loosing it's beauty explaining. Entry fee is ₹10 per head. The in-charge at the house would allow entry for 15-20 minutes prior to the light go on at top during evening(enough & worth for the time allowed). The climb to top would take 3-4 minutes single stretch.

Highly recommended to visit this lighthouse if you are visiting chavakad beach, the view from the top is breathtaking! There is an entry fee of ₹10 per person.

Extremely good view from here. Clean Nature. I personally prefer sunset timing. It's the best time for a view.

The view of the beach is absolutely fantastic, and the ticket price is only Rs. 10! The kids loved it and had a great time enjoying the beautiful scenery

It's a good place for hangout. In top of the light house the view makes more beautiful one side full of greeny and another side is light blue sea. The sun set view is the best attraction. I my suggestion it one time visit place
