What a nice little place! The staff is so so so friendly!! There is no english menu, so I order a set menu to be surprised. The food was very good and tasty, the staff does there best to help you in the most polite way. I can recommend this place for anybody that is open for a Japanese tasty menu!

Delicious. We had the omakase menu. Beautiful presentation of sushi and other things I don't know the names of. It was quite a challenge to order as we don't speak Japanese and no one there spoke much English. The atame was patient with us while we used Google Translate app. I was amazed by how reasonable the price was, too. Only about ¥4000 for a very filling omakase with about five courses.

Japanese casual formal restaurant. You can have variety of dish course from $50/each. Also, you can order individual. Master is very friendly. Highly Recommend.

Absolutely amazing kaiseki meal - great food, friendly staff and cozy atmosphere. It was 5000 yen. The chef put a lot of effort into preparing each dish in a way that would highlight its ingredients. Probably one of the best meals I’ve had while visiting Japan, if not ever! Would definitely recommend to anyone to try it out!

Had set dinner for 4 for 4,800Y each. 8 courses of small but exquisite dishes (eg. Snapper liver pate) prepared by the chef/owner Mayayuki Horimoto in front of you at a dinner style counter (3 booths for 4 people also available) seating 8. One of the best eating experiences ever. Very little English spoken, but we all got by (thanks to Google Translate & acting!). Seats 20 so get someone to book for you.

Have been in Japan the last 40 days, and this is the first time I’ve been moved enough to leave a review. Outstanding and interesting food, presented by kind-hearted people. Fantastic value for money.

I’ve been here twice for omakase and it’s been exquisite both times. Though the wait staff and chef do not speak English, they are very friendly and totally hyped up my below-basic level of Japanese. The food was delicious each time I was there, and the atmosphere is warm and intimate. They are extremely attentive - down to noticing that my partner is left handed and placing down saucers and dishes accordingly without prompting. Although they accept walk-ins, there is a chance it is fully reserved so I’d recommend making a reservation before heading down.

Very friendly for tourists. The set menu has a bit of a western spin which was interesting. Staff very friendly and experience was nice.

We dined for Kaiseki (chef selection) at Yukari on Saturday 11th October 2023 and we had such a lovely time. Each meal was outstanding and delicious with great attention to detail. Our chef Masayuki was not only a trained Chef but also holds a diploma in Sake so we were presented with delicious meals perfectly paired with sake. We could not fault one thing about this meal, the service and atmosphere which was well worth the price. I can highly recommend this if you’re looking for a special Kaiseki dinner in Kyoto. Thank you for a wonderful evening, we hope to return again one day.
