Major security concerns here! It wasn't exactly the cleanest and most well maintained hotel I have ever been to but for one night at a relatively cheap rate. I was able to overlook that. We checked in around 4pm easily and the desk staff was friendly...kind of. She was nice to me but there was another employee in the background discussing which rooms they could kick people out of early because they needed the space. Um. Ok...never heard that at a hotel before but whatever. After getting to our room in the Motel section we were increasingly thankful that it was just for one night. The room smelled like mold, weed, and chlorine. The bathroom was gross, had burn holes all over the counter, the toilet barely flushed, and the bath tub faucet randomly leaked water. Again, it was just one night. We'd survive...probably. Not looking to hang around too long we headed out for dinner. Later that evening when we returned our room keys had stopped working. I went to the front desk for a replacement. The man at the desk asked me what room number and handed me two brand new keys. Never asked me my name, never asked for an ID, never even entered anything to check the computer to see if that room was occupied. This is very scary that they just hand out keys to any room to any one who asks for one. We went back to our room and the keys worked. We attempted to use the deadbolt to lock our door but it was broken. With no way to secure our door in a hotel that just hands out keys to anyone we resorted to shoving some furniture in front of the door. Normally I'm not that paranoid but this place ready comes alive at night and not in a good way. Tons of people milling around the very poorly lit parking lots, open drug use, and just an all around uneasy vibe. We hightailed it out of there first thing in the morning.

Words cannot adequately express the disappointment and frustration we experienced during our attempted stay at the Ramada Kissimmee Gateway. We feel it is important to highlight the various issues we encountered, ranked by severity, to ensure an accurate representation of our experience. First and foremost, upon entering the room, we were greeted by a disturbing odor reminiscent of a pest control product. This was highly unpleasant and added to our overall discomfort. Next, the swing guard lock on the door did not function properly, compromising the security of our room. This is an alarming concern that significantly impacted our peace of mind. The headboard in our room was not attached, resulting in incessant banging against the wall with even the slightest movement, the bed frame was literally the cheapest made bed frame you can find. Later, we discovered the bed skirt was torn, and it became evident that the bed sheets had not been changed, as we found hair between the sheets and they were extremely wrinkled. This lack of cleanliness is deeply disconcerting. The overall cleanliness of the room was unsatisfactory. The baseboard trim was filthy, and we noticed broken or missing pieces of trim throughout the room. Rust on the bathroom sink and a broken lampshade further added to our disappointment. The cable TV constantly froze, rendering it virtually unusable. Despite attempts to enjoy some entertainment, we were repeatedly met with frustration due to the persistent freezing issues. Additionally, we discovered the rug appeared to be pulled up in multiple places, posing a tripping hazard. The cupboards showed signs of significant wear and tear, with chipped and scratched surfaces and no apparent attempts at repair. One of the sconces by the bed was noticeably misaligned, leaving a gap at the top. The electrical outlets were dirty and loose, which is concerning from both a cleanliness and safety standpoint. We had booked a king sized room and were given a room with a queen bed. When we contacted the front desk they kept telling us and trying to reassure us that the bed was in fact a king. The staff was difficult to work with and we ended up leaving within an hour of our arrival. In conclusion, our stay at the Ramada Kissimmee Gateway fell far below our expectations. The accumulation of these issues, ranging from compromised security to cleanliness and maintenance concerns, significantly impacted our comfort and overall experience. We sincerely hope that the necessary steps will be taken to address and rectify these issues for future guests.

This was the worst hotel experience I have ever had. For one, only one of the two room keys worked. It was loud and the front door wasn’t sealed so you could hear everyone out at all hours of the night. The rooms were filthy and damp. The first day we checked in just time time for sleep and noticed the grime on surfaces and in corners. The bath tub looked like it hadn’t ever been cleaned, dirt and curly black hairs littered the floor and there was mold on the ceiling. We booked a room for four and were given three bath towels, all of which were stained. We woke up early to take our kids to Disney and didn’t return until about 11pm. When we arrived, the ceiling was dripping water in front of the bathroom sink. The floor was covered in a huge puddle and we used our three bath towels to mop it up and absorb the continuous dripping. Our bags were all unpacked and the kids were asleep so we opted to wait it out until the morning instead of trying to get a new room at midnight. I didn’t expect much in this price range but the level of filth was completely unacceptable for any facility. I have stayed at plenty of budget hotels or motels and I know what to expect for that price range. When we mentioned this to the front desk they were unsurprised by the information. I have never written a review about a place, good or bad but I felt like I needed to because this facility is a health and safety concern. I do not recommend staying with them for any amount of savings.

You get what you pay for. Definitely one of the more affordable hotels but a few warnings...1.) After you make your reservation I would recommend calling to make sure you don't get a room in the courtyard/pool area. It's loud and people kept us up late. Sounds like people are playing/partying right outside your door. When I called the front desk to see if we could switch rooms after the 2nd night of noise they said they couldn't move us and that security would ask people outside to be quiet (security either didn't come or wasn't successful). 2.) There were a few small gnats in the room during our stay. 3.) The sink faucet wasn't working right. Turning it on even slightly shoots out water and will spray everywhere. 4.) The carpet is old and coming up in places (easy to trip). 5.) They will not let you check-in early. They kept telling us our room wasn't ready but we were unknowingly hanging out in the courtyard right outside our room while waiting until 4p and they had in fact been done with our room hours before check-in time. 6.) The pool heater wasn't working correctly during our stay so be mindful of maintenance issues if you want to swim and it's not summer. 7.) The shuttles to Disney parks are very limited. One option each way...7:30a departure time from hotel to parks and 9:45p pick up time from parks back to hotel (and they do not go to all parks).

This was the worst. Yes it was affordable for a last minute hide away from the hurricane, but it would have been better for me to save my money by staying in my home. My home missing a wall would be a better, more ventilated, place to stay. There's roaches. The small kind that will follow you home. Tiny ants scurried on the sink and counters. The water keeps making noise throughout the night. The air conditioner doesn't lower down no matter how many times you hit the button. I've put it at 65 and it only stops at 74. It's a very musty room. The sheets felt dirty. When you buy a suite you expect high quality or even medium high quality. The TV small. I only came to this place as a last minute safe guard to escape my home with my child in case something would happen, but I feel like I would have been safer (physically, health, and hygiene wise) if I stayed home.

Upon arrival, the first thing we noticed was the horrible stench that came from the carpets of the lobby. We thought we’d still give it a try considering the cheap price but I guess everything cheap comes with a great price. Check in went smoothly enough, we were pleased to know that the hotel had shuttle service, etc. When we made our way into our room, the first thing we noticed was that the door did not close or lock. As we tried closing it to lock it, my partner’s finger got stuck on the door and she hurt her finger. As we contemplated whether we should stay or not, we looked for other options and decided it was best to leave since the horrible smell followed us to our room. The sheets were yellow, the carpet was filthy and the ac unit was so dirty, it looked like mold was coming out of it. I have video proof of this. No I am not exaggerating. We went downstairs and spoke to Kimberly Helms, who was the front desk manager and she said she had cancelled our stay and we would receive a refund. We called hotels.com, the third party which we booked through and they said that it seemed as though they actually hadn’t cancelled anything so we cancelled it through them but they said that the refund was completely up to the hotel. Every time we tried reaching out to the hotel they had a new excuse , “we are busy” , “manager isn’t here today” , “call tomorrow.” It’s been almost a week since this and nothing. Tomorrow I will call once more and if nothing gets resolved I will have to drive to Orlando to speak to the manager in person.

Not sure why guests are so surprised by the quality of this hotel. You get what you pay for, folks. If you want ghetto motel vibes, then this is your very own Magic Kingdom. If you want to smell musty dirty old all night; if you wanna listen to a symphony of rattling a/c with accompanying random voices of other guests, look no further. But whatever you do, don’t complain. You chose this in spite of the reviews and price. Blame yourself. The hotel management knows exactly what you’re getting, and they’re fine with it. Sure, they’ll write some canned response expressing faux concern with no real commitment to changing anything. If you’re on a tight budget, then fine, life is hard. But if you want to splurge a little, this ain’t your hotel. Have fun!!

Excellent value/budget hotel close to Disney World! We stayed here for a total of 12 nights for a Disney vacation and found the rooms to be clean, spacious, and the property overall had decent amenities. We really enjoyed the pools (2), and the on-site gift shop/convenience store was very handy! Personally, for the price paid (< $100/night CAD), this hotel is hard to beat. The rooms are basic, but most days are spent at the theme parks so it was worthwhile for us to save money on accommodations. The only disappointing part of our stay was that we were given a 2 queen room despite having requested a King bed (I even called the hotel to confirm prior to our arrival), and house keeping was inconsistent; some days we only received 1 bath towel in a room that is technically quad-occupancy. We found ourselves often picking up towels from the front desk on our way back to the room after the park every night. Lastly, while this didn't particularly bother us it may be more critical to families or larger groups. FYI - the shuttle does not run at the most convenient times *if you want to arrive for rope drop or close to opening hours*. We used Uber/Lyft every day and still saved hundreds (if not thousands) compared to the cost of staying on Disney property or at a Disney Good Neighbour resort. NOTE: Room 412 building G (one of the 2 storey buildings).

The overall experience was very good, the hotel is in a great location with lots of amenities for a comfortable stay. The staff was very helpful and polite. The only complaint I have is that the bathroom was not as clean as I expected. The shower didn’t drain like it should and the tile grout looked iffy in several places. Otherwise I am pleased and will stay there again.

Service was great, location was perfect for animal kingdom. Lots to do, super friendly bartender and desk staff. Pools were clean. The pizza was even decent! Walking distance to Walmart and Starbucks. The room was much nicer than expected for the price. Would definitely come back for our next Disney vacation.

I have had a terrible experience here. I took a chance and I shouldn’t have. There was a giant leak in the ceiling from the broken air conditioner which destroyed my makeup and bags. The air conditioner promptly fully broke in the middle of the night and it was horrid. We contacted the front desk and no one was willing to help. When we finally got a hold of the manager he offered to refund one of our nights stays and I would have to contact hopper as he would authorize it. Hopper has tried to contact this hotel all week to no avail. Finally they got a hold of the manger and hopper informed me that the manger lied to them and said they already gave me a free nights stay which is a straight up lie. So my stuff was ruined and we died in the heat and the managers are liars. I got no refund as promised. Also there were flying carpenter ants in the room. Don’t stay here.

This is an older hotel/motel. We were in the hi-rise in what was called a deluxe room, but I couldn't find anything deluxe about it. It's very clean and quite affordable, but has the wear and tear that you would expect of a hotel of this vintage. There are ice machines only on the even floors, so bear this in mind when they ask what floor you want to be on. The elevators worked fine, but the indicator lights on the call buttons and above the doors were not operational. A/C worked great. The TV was stationary and did not adjust for viewing from the sofa. It did have a safe, a small fridge and microwave. No dishware. The location, however, was excellent! Very convenient to the parks, lots of restaurants, and right next door to Walmart. If you're just looking for a reasonably nice place to lay your head at night while visiting Disney that won't break the bank, and not a resort experience, this could be your place.

I booked this hotel through JetBlue Vacations. It included flights & hotel stay for $600, taxes brought it to $800. Staff at front desk while checking in was pleasant. Provided a map to find our room but even with the map it was still pretty confusing. We finally found our room and the moment we entered the room smelled horrible. After placing our stuff down, we inspected the room like one does and noticed the dresser, mirror, and bedside table were dirty and breaking apart. Moving towards the bathroom, there was a mini fridge with a microwave on it before entering the bathroom. There was a connecting room to ours and we found that door was unlocked. Immediately uncomfortable. The sink sat just outside the bathroom and the wood/paint of the sink base was chipping and falling off. Floor in bathroom was dirty and tiles in shower were dingy. After inspection we gave each other the look and knew immediately we did not want to stay here. We contacted JetBlue Vacations. There was some back & forth about the room and if we could get our money back. We left 2 hours after check-in and stayed at Candlewood Suites in Lake Buena Vista.

We were very happy with our 2 night stay here. We had two room in the courtyard. The rooms are a little dated but they were clean and everything (outlets, tvs, shower, etc) worked like it should. The kids loved the pool, and were excited for the outdoor movies and mini-golf but we just didn't have the time. The staff was friendly, we had no problem getting new key cards when we needed (I lose things easily). I would definitely stay again.

Don't be fooled by hotel/room pictures online. If you really want a ghetto to spend for a vacation this is the place. Here's my list of issues with this hotel, that was booked through @Southwest Vacations. 1. Rooms no way are like online pictures. 2. The carpet is worn out, smells terrible 3. Restroom door has no lock, no functioning exhaust and water doesn't drain in tub or toilet well. Raised a complaint and they did send someone to fix the water draining issues. 4. Loud music being played around the pool, people smoking and drinking all during day and nights. Complained and hotel night shift manager informs he will send security but it went to deaf ears i think. 5. Beds were not done, when complained again they ask if i have a do not disturb sign. Did let them know no such sign was placed on door, they don't have a reply again. Well if one bed is done and other isn't, they definitely wouldn't have a reply. isn't it? 6. One evening we were locked out had to go to the lobby again and wait for another 40 minutes as there is only 1 person in lobby and a long queue awaits you every time. 7. We booked a rental car well in advance, but FYI. They have shuttle, but they don't post times online. To two parks, if I'm not mistaken the shuttle STARTS at 10.45 am (?) by the time you reach to the park would be close to 1130 am. Not a big issue but if you consider this hotel for free shuttle amenity, then think twice. When issues were escalated to Southwest, hotel is asking for documentation. Let me ask this, do hotels give us a copy of all complaints as a proof of documentation? If they are looking for pictures of people smoking and drinking around the pool, how do we grab pictures of random strangers, only to be counter sued? So, I don't understand what kind of proofs or documentation can be provided? I really wish airlines and other agencies that have this hotel listed, should really visit this place, check their rooms and confirm if the pictures posted online are realistic. I can bet rooms from block F definitely are not like the pictures of the rooms or beds or bright as posted online. Never again WITH Ramada !!!

Horrible, it is super cheap to stay here. That was appealing since going to Disney we knew we only needed a place to really sleep and shower. We arrived and in bathroom floor of room there was a wad of black hair, gross. We cleaned it up. I got bite marks first day there but had no idea where it came from. Second day there I sit down on toilet and I can just see the fleas jumping on me. I look down and they are all over the bathroom floor. These were not here upon arrival. We put the sign on the door to not have our room cleaned and I’m assuming this is why we saw them. I called the desk and asked to move rooms. They said they would send someone to clean it. It was 10pm, and they sent a man to my room. I opened the door and started explaining to find out he did not speak any English. He went and cleaned the entire bathroom, afterwards you couldn’t really see the fleas but as I’m sitting on the bed with feet dangling they are still jumping on me. I called front desk again to request to move rooms. She said that is fine but I can’t take my stuff with me because I may bring the fleas (that they had prior to my arrival) to the new room. What the heck!!! I finally get a new room I go to inspect it and there are fleas in the bathroom I called the desk to let them know. I moved my stuff and slept in the new room unfortunately. This place is infested with fleas. My legs are covered in bites. I think if you allow them to clean your room they try to get rid of all evidence of fleas each day. The bathrooms are white floors so easy to see but you can’t see them in the carpet. So disgusting.

We checked into this hotel this past weekend, room 216 to be exact. The front desk staff and check in process were great and the room was clean. However, since it’s facing the pool area, it’s incredibly noisy. They don’t seem to have any type of quiet time hours, and if they do it’s really late. We heard loud noises and crowds of people beyond 11p. The toilet wasn’t securely fastened to the ground, so it shook considerably when just sitting on it and the bed was very hard and uncomfortable. Despite all the above not being pleasurable, I also understood that we didn’t book a 4 star hotel and we can’t expect to get 4 star hotel amenities and comfort out of a 2-3 star. Therefore, I was fine with it, didn’t complain, and was just sucking it up for the night. However, when the next morning rolled around and we didn’t have hot water, I felt it was enough. I don’t care if a place is a 1 star motel, a person should be able to reasonably expect a hot shower at the very least. I called the front desk and I will say that maintenance responded quickly. They got to our room within 5 minutes and he was very kind. After seeing that no hot water was coming out for a few minutes, he said he would have to check the boiler. We waited about 10 more minutes, but then we had to check out. We had to meet with family and friends for breakfast before heading to the airport. I went downstairs and asked to speak with a manager, in which I was told one was not available. They provided me his business card instead, Dalton Cunningham. I immediately sent an email listing the problem with the cold water and asking for a resolution, and I have yet to receive any response back. I sent a follow up email this morning, so we’ll see if that prompts a response. I will update review if i receive any type of update, although I’m not holding my breath at this point. Very disappointing experience and I’d recommend trying to see if you have a better experience at another affordable hotel.

My favorite on the cheap side in Kissimmee. Staff is amazing. It's an older place but I really enjoy the pool and the rooms. The tower is really nice but so are the regular rooms. I'm updating my review based on the last stay there. They were extremely patient and helpful in my time of emergency. Will absolutely stay here again.

The room was great. The staff is wonderful. The hotel is a bit dated and really needs some repairs. The elevator did not work and we were on the eight floor. We had to use the service elevator. The ice machine on our floor did not work. The universal in the gym was in many pieces and could not be used. The pool and outdoor area was nice.

Checked in at 4pm, hotel room was clean but grudgey. Carpet is dirty, mattress is well past needing replaced and had divets. The AC was broken as well. I called the front desk 4 times in 2 hours. Each time I was told someone was going to be down to look into the issue. The second two calls I was told someone was coming down immediately. No one showed. I went to the front desk cancelled my stay and requested a refund. They cancelled my stay, and told me to contact Priceline who I booked through. Priceline made contact with them and refuse to refund the first night since I was there for 2 hours, a whole 2 hours where I stood outside of the room waiting for them to fix it. Book elsewhere, hotel needs updating and the management is sub-par. Front desk staff is awesome though. They are friendly, considerate and kind. I understand they are just following policies. Caitlin at the front desk was delightful even through my frustrations and was reasonable and understanding.

We have been staying at this location for over ten years now and we love it. The hotel is older and starting to show its age. The bathroom facet and sink had the hardware coming apart and the baseboards were coming off. Our first room had a leak in the bathroom lighting. BUT they switched our rooms right away and the shower and sinks were still useable. The room was very clean and our room was cleaned every day. You can’t beat the price per night for just needing a place to shower and sleep. The breakfast is buffet which is great but they are trying to keep up with inflation and for 13 per person it’s a little expensive to be having the same food everyday when you stay for more than a few days.

Came down for a week long Disney trip with friends, and Hurricane Ian tried to ruin it. Definitely threw some wrenches into our plans, but the staff went well out of their way to make sure we were taken care of. Our room had a minor leak that they tried to fix, but epoxy on a wet surface can't be expected to hold up to 100+mph winds...we woke up at 2am without power, but with our own in-room waterfall. We were able to switch rooms, met so many wonderful people (and dogs!) And become closer with the amazing team working at our hotel! We've stayed here several times over the past 3 years and couldn't have been happier with our choice :) the people we have met have been cordial, the staff have been unbelievably accommodating, the dogs have accepted every pet they can get, and we have had an amazing experience! We have never had any real issues when staying here, and with a Cat 2 hurricane hitting, the staff handled everything with grace, and maintained a sense of calm and hospitality that few hotels of this price point can match. Thank you Dalton for everything!

We had a good experience at this hotel and for the price, more than we expected. Large rooms, comfortable bedding, pool and patio very family friendly. Fast, easy check-in and I left a laptop behind and they found and returned it!

Free shuttle to parks. Dove bath essentials, which was nice. Room was spacious. It had a fridge which was nice. Clean for the most part. Beds were not the most comfortable, but I ended up sleeping very well. There is a little store in the hotel and a restaurant. No free breakfast. There is also a resort fee. The hotel is in a very good location. For the price, I would definitely stay again!

Okay, first off, this is not a luxury hotel. You can’t expect that for $100 per night. That said, they put me in the tower and my room was cheerful enough and did seem clean. Staff at this hotel was extremely helpful and really went out of their way to accommodate any needs I had which is good considering how inexpensive the hotel is. I saw no signs of bugs or mold that others have mentioned. The location is also only a short Uber ride from the Disney parks. I’d stay here again if I were in the area for something and looking to save money vs having a luxury experience.

Was only staying for one night, which for one night was a great stay, but there were a few things in the room that could use some renovations our sink handle only would turn the sink off if positioned in just the right spot, the tub bottom paint was chipping off, but other than that the room was cozy and fine for the night. Service at the desk seemed great. And the location was pretty great, not far from universal at all.

Our room was clean and obviously we'll maintained, the bed was super comfy! This hotel has a lot of amenities, including restaurants, it's own gift shop, pool tables, a giant chess set, two pools (one of them heated!), and more. We really enjoyed our stay here.

Pleasantly surprised! I paid $50 on Priceline & It had several amenities. Two pools, mini golf, sand volleyball, gift shop, an on site restaurant. It wasn’t the dirtiest or cleanest motel I’ve ever been too. But I was happy! We just needed a place to stay for a night since our flight was moved up & our resort was booked so we couldn’t add a day. I have no complaints! Thanks for the great rate!

We stayed for one week at the hotel to visit Disney and Universal and we were 10 minutes from Hollywood Studios , the location of the hotel was perfect! We had to switch rooms three times , but the staff was helpful and understaning , this is why I think it deserves the 5 stars even with the changes we had to make. If we come back to Orlando, I will rebook this hotel for its location and the price.

My recent reservation at this hotel turned out to be an incredibly unpleasant experience. Our troubles began right at check-in time, which was supposed to be 4 PM, but we were informed that our rooms weren't ready. Despite having requested connecting rooms during our reservation made four months in advance and confirmed two weeks prior to our visit, the staff couldn't provide us with these accommodations, claiming they were all occupied. After enduring an hour of back-and-forth between various staff members trying to find rooms for us, we were finally given keys to rooms located at the farthest end of the hotel. If you have luggage or children in tow, you'd need to drive to these rooms, which was our case. To our surprise, the initial rooms assigned to us were already occupied, necessitating a return trip to the lobby for reassignment. Another 15 minutes of waiting later, we were issued keys to different rooms. As we drove to our new rooms, we were greeted by another issue. The rooms were dirty – unmade beds, trash in the bins, and towels strewn across the floor. It was so obvious from the exterior looking through the window that we didn't even enter these rooms. A third trip to the lobby to speak to one of the staff member, who had the most indifferent attitude, assured us he would order to clean the rooms if we were willing to wait. At this point we were exhausted and frustrated, we declined and asked for alternative rooms. Again we hoppped back in our car and drove to our third set of rooms. Upon entering the first room, we were met with an overwhelming smell of urine, making the space unbearable. To make matters worse, my husband discovered bed bugs under one of the beds mattress when inspecting the other room. Without hesitation, we left immediately and attempted to secure a refund, which they denied even after showing proof of the insects under the mattress and bed sheets, not even the daily fee for a night we didn't use. Even the top manager who was exiting at the time we made our claim was unfazed and just walked out. They supposedly were going to call us back but never did. We had to book last minute at another hotel. This experience was a colossal letdown, nothing short of incredibly disappointing. I strongly caution against selecting this hotel for your stay, it was plagued by a series of unacceptable issues that soured what should have been a relaxing beginning to our vacation.

A fantastic hotel, big rooms especially for a family, lots of improvements to the outside area since last time. Only thing it lacked this time is take-away breakfast option. We used that everyday last vacation. They offered an eat in breakfast at $13 each but we don't want that much food and it's too expensive when you have 4 to pay for.

Kinda grubby rooms. No safety bars in showers . Bad water leak from the ceiling into our room . Breakfast buffet was yummy. Lots of activity after dark in parking areas. Needs better security. Very convenient location

Looks more like a Motel. Their phone didn't even work in the room we were in. We had a hard time opening our door with the key card they gave us. We had to wait awhile to be checked in and they only had two people at the front desk. Doesn't look anything from the pictures. The bed and pillow were comfortable at least, though the bed was high. I really wasn't impressed.

The hotel itself is old and could use a bit of renovation. Staff were nice. My bed was always made beautifully. One day I was not given any new wash rags. Overall was good.

Giant cockroaches in our room after 1am. Called front desk and was told he’d send someone over immediately. 15 minutes later no one came over. Called again and was told they didn’t have anyone at 1:30am. Anyway, I’m not complaining about no one available. I understand it’s late, but the fact that I was told someone would come over but no one ever showed up was straight up lying to your customer. Also I just want to show what you need to deal with if you stay here, rooming with cockroaches. I do want to say that the person who checked me in was very friendly.

The room was smell old nasty and dusty. I think because of the carpet. And when i reported it they said the room is fine and smell good. Wth. We stay there for 3 nights and i don't wanna stay at nasty room like they have. Even we have new room the next day. I was really upset when they said tge room smells like chinese food just because i am asian. And i don't even have Chinese food btw. we have fried chicken. Avoid this hotel!
