WORTH THE DETOUR, I PROMISE. Thanks for a great lunch stop. I honestly wasn't sure if we should make the detour off HWY 7 to come to this place but I'm super glad we did. Great prices, and more importantly, unreal service. This is what all restaurants should aspire to be. The food was delicious between a fish and chip order and a philly cheesesteak. Food was fast and hot. Highly recommend. Bonus leaning tower of burger.

Delicious fish and chips! The kids meals are super reasonably priced. We had the chicken fingers and fries and the vanilla ice cream was superb. Friendly, and kind staff. We will definitely be back again. We also felt safe dining in during the pandemic as they checked our vaccine passports prior to being seated. This was important to us.

Our new favorite cottage country eatery! We shared the highly recommended coconut shrimp as an app and the fish and chips entree, both of which were perfectly done, crispy and flavourful. Best fish and chips in a long time! Ordered the same thing last week in another restaurant in the area, but we both sent them back. Not here, the food was delicious, Susan's service was excellent and the delightful and hard working owner and chef, Maggie, was rightfully proud of her establishment. It also took very little to convince us to take home her appetizing homemade Chelsea buns, eclair, squares and muffins...scrumptious! Thanks for a fun evening and an excellent meal...we will be back!!

We had the breakfast poutine and a BLT. The poutine was delicious, with great cheese. The BLT was light and tasty.

Best Beef Noodle soup I have ever had. Server was very pleasant as well. Will definitely be back. Everything we ordered was great.

Our party of 6 came in on our way out of the area after having stayed at a cottage on nearby Jordan Lake. The food and the service were fantastic. Such friendly people, food was prepared quickly but not in a hurry and was very delicious. We also stopped in a couple of days prior when we first arrived and picked up a couple of their homemade pies. Do yourself a favor and make sure to do the same. We recommend the Blueberry or the Strawberry Rhubarb. We are looking to come back to the same cottage next year and the Rustic Roadside Restaurant will DEFINITELY be included as part of our trip! Looking forward to next time Ps...make sure to get a picture with the huge inflatable hamburger!

Perfect spot for dinner out while up at the cottage. Loved the atmosphere of the dining room, the service was excellent and the food was fantastic! Had the hot turkey sandwich which i would order again if i come back! Others in the group had Fish & Chips. Would definitely recommend to anyone driving up or down highway 62.

We stayed at a cottage on Gunter Lake and went to the Rustic Roadhouse for breakfast every morning ,,, experienced great food and friendly service each time. The pies and baked goods came home with us too. Cant wait until next spring for our next visit.

We travelled from Brighton to the Rustic for fish and chip lunch! Delightful !!!! Couldn’t pass up the desserts either……yummy! Took a lemon pie, garlic Parmesan bread and Chaney tarts home. We will definitely be back . 👍🏻❤️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Amazing not so hidden gem!! If you are ever going to Belleville or beyond this is the place to eat and to pick up your home made breads, tarts, pickled eggs. You name it. They make it!! Even homemade apple and berry "flakeys" I had the clubhouse and caesar salad and it was soo fresh and delicious!! My friend really enjoyed the daily special of beef stew with slices of buttered homemade bread and a slice of lemon pie. We will be back again and again and again!!!
