Great store for Afghan foods. Meat department butcher Bahaa is super friendly! There’s a restaurant and a bakery as well. The Shiryakh (Icecream) is absolutely delicious. Only problem is that they’re usually quite lethargic to make it for you as it requires some churning. And it is also quite expensive. $12 for a large. Most other places charge $6-7 for similar size. The cookies and baklava look awesome too.

Not happy with food. Not fresh food. Over charged me. I orders soup. They warm up and packed for me. If you don’t have fresh soup. Just say we don’t have it. Don’t warn up the and pack without saying anything.

The prices in this store are much higher than other similar stores even with the stores close to it. The behavior of the cashier that was in the checkout section, I don’t know if he was the owner or not, was very unprofessional and he did not care about the customers. When I told him that their price for the item I just bought is much higher than another store and asked for a price match, he didn’t accept to do the price matching. I asked him if I can return it. He accepted first, but when I came back two to three minutes later, he refused to refund me. I think they cannot keep the customers with this type of disappointing behavior.

Unfortunately, the butcher section of this store has poor quality meat. The people who work in this department are very bad-tempered and do not have a good service staff at all. If you are concerned about your health, please do not buy from the butcher of this store. I almost come to Herat Bazaar to prepare meat. Ten days ago, I went to prepare meat according to the routine, but someone in the butcher department urged my wife to take the bone, and with a lot of insistence, she took it finaly. When we got home, we found that the bones were rotten and could not be used at all. I called immediately but the store was closed. The next day I called again and another person was told to freeze them and return it whenever I have time,and I came back and I did it but the person who insisted on buying those bones mocked me very rudely said I am a Canadian citizen. Being a Canadian citizen is not a good reason to sell rotten meat, so I would very much like to take the matter to City so that this person can no longer play with the health of the people in our community.

The store is clean. The service is good and the people are nice. The store has good food there. Gosht e qaaq, laandi, haleem, haft mewe nawruz, samanak are available and they are all very good! Except the restaurant which is kinda messy and not managed well.

I bought halal chicken, the butcher charged me 30% more than the displayed price. When asked why you're charging more he replied the prices went up. I my question was why you don't change the display prices, he told me it is very expensive to change the display because it's electronic display. I bought the bread yesterday the price was $2.75 but today they barged $ 2.50. They don't display he price clearly, so they can charge as per their liking. It is open cheating.

Not delicious ice cream (shiryakh). He did not issue a receipt for the ice cream we purchased. He was asked but he refused to issue a receipt for two ice creams $14. Expensive ice cream.

The restaurant in Herat bazar which located in 565 Markham road Scarborough is the worst restaurant ever we ordered some bolani they give us the bolani we didn't open the box and came home when we opened the box the bolani looked full of oil burned and old when we tasted it, it taste awful inside the bolani its potato’s looked brown and very little beside that we didn't eat the whole bolani only a piece of it made us all sick and everyone in our family through up. we called the restaurant their manager said they didn't have fresh bolani and their staff give us the box of bolani from 3 days before and said that it was a mistake but didn't say that he is sorry about it very impolite and very rude . so please check your order carefully before taking it home especially the bolani. My self I will never buy anything from this restaurant.

Poor customer service and low quality food products. From the owners response it is clear the store management does not take responsibility for their products. They do not care after the sale and do not stand behind their product quality. I will be considering filing a formal complaint with Public Health on issues of quality and poor labeling on their products (no expiration, no ingredients or facts).

I would give 0 stars unfortunately I can’t. Me as an Afghan that lived in Toronto my whole life and being a long time customer of this store. I got dried black mulberries and I was so disgusting.. it was stilt and so old.. I requested to bring this to the store owner and manager. The owner’s response was if you think it’s bad and not edible simply don’t shop from here and go somewhere else.. the fact is the item may not worth much money. It isn’t the matter of money.. it’s the fact this is how much they value their customers that invested into their business thousands of dollars. This is very unfortunate.. for a manager and owner to behave like this. They definitely lost me as a customer. I will definitely take this to food health and safety board of Toronto for inspection. This might teach them something. And I as a social media influencer will take it to media and social platforms. This is a serious matter. This is health and safety issue which they care less about. I got severe stomach pain and will definitely take it up to a lawyer for perhaps a lawsuit.

Bought couple bags of rice ; weren’t the type it was suggested/wanted. I Went back after a month and brought my concern to Mr. Fahim Rahmatyan. Mr. Rahmatyan was very professional, comprehensive and man with great gesture of goodwill. He replaced the item without any receipt. Hope your business prosperous. Mr. Fahim thank you for your empathy.

This place is okay. It is not the best but it is not the work! The beef kebabs were great but the chicken was a bit chewy and hard. The rice was okay but a bit too dry. Overall, it is a decent however it might be a bit too pricey for some people While portions are not to big to be honest.

The shop is good. But the meat department is the worst. I got Old meet last week and I had vomited multiple times. Still the Taste of old meat is in my mouth 🤮. Unforgettable experience. Better the owner should change the meat team. Otherwise it will affect the image of your whole store.

One of the worst Afghani store in Toronto I bought dry fruits it was all spoiled.very expensive and very bad quality.please don’t waste your money in this store.I clearly show the owner this product is spoiled he said we don’t have refund.

I went there all the way from oshawa. They charge me for 2 Bolani but I couldn't see it in bag when we came home. Also the Torshe and Samosa we bought both were not fresh and we throw them away. Everything was very expensive. I won't recommend this place to anyone

Very dirty and unsanitary. From the door knob to floor to counters and food shelves. With all the money they make I wish they spent some on cleaning.

The dirtiest food i ever had in my life. I ordered Bolani the first bite i had a long hair came out. Im sure the cook is a woman and it was her hair. When i asked manager what he replied shocked me. He said ONE HAIR IN 10-15 BOLANIES IN NORMAL. Im not from here if it was California i would have treated them differently. Better to have food im a toilet then here.

I don’t usually write reviews, but this place is amazing. The staff are extremely nice, especially the one at the cash register, they treat you like family while also being professional. I have never been to a store with customer service better than here! On top of that there hand made ice cream (shiryak) is amazing. Everyone is friendly, the dried fruit is delicious, the naan is delicious, I highly recommend.

Very rude Castumer service from the meat department ! Some of the stuff members don’t even speak English at all! Went there as always and the person (not the first time seeing him) who was serving me at this time just turned around,left me talking to myself and continue cutting the meat as I wasn’t even there! The meat department people in general are always friendly and very kind. I’ve been shopping in this store for a while ,because it’s close to my workplace and was happy to find some of the IRANIAN products that they carry! We will definitely drive longer distances to get the products we need from the IRANIAN STORES! Very low class people who need to be thought how to give a castimer proper service and attention!!!! Usually it’s very rear that I write a negative review,but this is unacceptable,the way the person treated me ,as ppl know me at the store very well! All I asked to give me ground lamb and veal mixed which I always buy!!! REPLY: I never got into arguments with the person at the meat department! I just mentioned that I will complain to the manager as he always treated me very bad. No matter what I ask he said we don’t have it,which is totally lie,as the rest of your stuff were always able to provide everything! And yes I did say if he is not happy with his job,he shouldn’t work with Castumers directly. Regarding the other Castumer,he was the one who approached with arguments towards me,by telling me to shut up! I don’t know the person and I wasn’t talking to him at all,while he attacked me with his negativity! And yes I will repeat again,even tho we all might had problems with English as a newcomers,but that doesn’t allow him to treat me the way he did ! I never had any problems in store as you know! He just left me there and continued on his task… that’s very disrespectful! You don’t treat human like that . But I guess it’s not about Afghan community!!!!

To Store Manager: 1. please treat all your costumers equally 2. Please do not be very submissive to costumers who insults your workers for no reason. Please start to learn your rights. 3-you have the right to ask a customer to leave your store if he/she disturbs your other customers by screaming and yelling , you failed to excercise your right as a store manager this evening. I have being coming here for over 5 years. Whenever I come in I am always greeted with big smiles especially Salma, she has always been very helpful, very friendly and overall a wonderful person. I always look forward to stopping by here and seeing her in the store. Over the years I’ve tried various items throughout the store and I am always pleased with the quality anywhere from the bakery ice cream and cookies, breads, meats, dried fruits and other common products.

Very dirty place, lazy staff specially meat section staff are very rude, lazy and unprofessional. Bread is always left over from the day before overall very dirty place needs to be inspected by MOH and MGCS.
