Great museum with knowledgeable docents. The history and variety contained in this museum is impressive. Aviation is not a hobby or interest of mine but I really appreciated the museum and would visit again. We got a lovely guided tour and learned about the Wright brothers, to military planes, to planes that have been into orbit. The gift shop was nice as well. This is a well maintained museum that is captivating for all ages including lots of historical details on the placards and interactive demonstrations for kids.

Went with my husband and enjoyed looking at everything. I took massive pictures but there's too much to look at to take that many pictures. Place is massive and has two stories. I enjoyed the interactive displays and looking at all of the lego builds of airplanes. We looked at military planes and novice prototypes. I don't recommend high heels or flip flops unless you have strong feet because there is a lot of walking involved and every direction you can look, there is something to see.

Top notch museum. Well worth the cost. I spent about 3.5 hours here but I tend to read everything. I would suggest saving at least 2 hours. And don't forget to take the shuttle over to the hangars.

Attended the Oshkosh Air Show. Many, many times friends have told me to go, but this was my first time. They were right- it's an amazing show! Like the Chicago Auto show, but with planes! You don't need to be a pilot to enjoy it. Lot's of cool concept planes, as well as military. Great fun, but you'll need more than 1 day to see the major sights, and a week to see everything.

Great place to learn and see all types of planes. The children's spot is cool for everyone and you can sit in a jet! If you live in the area and haven't gone, I suggest a trip. In the summer it's better because they open the outside hangers and you can take a trolley and see even more planes.

Wow!!!! This blew me away! The amount of different planes they have on display is amazing! They have done a wonderful job making it all flow together! My kids enjoyed running around seeing all of the different planes and loved the kids zone!

If you come to Wisconsin you can't miss a visit to this museum. The volunteers are great and there are so many things to see. In summer season they also offer a tour on a 1929 open cockpit biplane

If you love Avation, then you will love EAA. The museum is most definitely a must see. The place is very clean, employee's are very kind and respectful. LOTS to see! And if you get the chance, go to EAA Airventure. It an absolute amazing experience!!! Words simply cannot describe the amount of excitement. Thousands of aircraft. Lots and lots of food, vendors, shopping, and air shows. Wednesday and Saturday nights are the Pyrotechnics. And THAT is something you definitely DO NOT want to miss! So many explosions, fire and controlled mayhem! It's a week long experience that makes you want to go every year.

Great museum, the displays are well spaced with seating areas throughout. The displays themselves are well thought out, and the majority of them are focused on the evolution of aviation and the record-breaking aircraft that have been used to do it. There are also exhibits for space and military programs as they also helped shape the history of aviation. You can tell that the museum and its members care about the history of aviation.

Ok so I went during the EAA Oshkosh Air Show so they let me in for free because I was wearing the wrist band. Even if you had to pay, it is still good value. There is a room dedicated to early flight including a replica Wright Brothers 1903 Flyer and Charles Lindberg's Spirit of St Louis. There is a racing/air stunt room which was great, too, a record setting section with a replica of the Voyager aircraft plus a library and a kids room. It was crowded, although that was due to the airshow. The restrooms were clean and the staff were friendly. They had a gift shop with great caramel fudge!

Visited museum as part of EAA Airventure 2022. Great exhibits and lectures, both inside museum and outside in the pavilions. If you like anything aircraft related, Airventure is definitely the place to go each year! Over 10,000 aircraft and 650,000 attendees this year! Plus daily air shows and 2 night shows with massive fireworks finales.

Self guided tours with staff walking around to answer questions. Friendly staff, nice gift shop area. Even if you don't have kids, go to the kid zone and go up to the 3rd floor Control Tower. Have your picture taken with you in the Raptor (Maverick not included 😄). Really a cool place for kids and adults. Plan to spend minimum 3 hours if you enjoy reading about the planes. The only negative was many of the hands on activities were out of order (most of them, actually). Great museum...Highly recommend!

I took our grandsons and family there during Christmas and had a fun visit. There are a lot of hands on activities for the youngsters. My favorite was to sit in a hang glider and try to maneuver to a spot pictured on the screen. Needless to say, I didn't make it. The atmosphere is very welcoming and educational for old and young minds. The gift shop is an aviation delight and the employees were most helpful. Clean restrooms and handicap accessibility made for a pleasant visit.

The EAA museum is a wonderful experience. You can literally spend a whole day roaming through the many exhibits. Today, I chose a different way. I did the scavenger hunt, which I was able to complete is about an hour. Bonus: When the scavenger hunt is completed, there is a super secret message to decode. Decode the super secret message to get a prize from the gift shop.

Some displays are the same but many have changed since my youth. The Johnson Wax flying boat exhibit no longer has a video where you pretend to take a ride on the plane, but it has been replaced with some nice stories. The kids like the children's area. I'm impressed with the video interviews that preserve the stories of dead aviators.

Very fun! It's definitely worth going to. It shows how men and women were able to fly these airplanes and even gives you simulators for kids or even adults to have fun in!

Young Eagles flights!!!! We went to this aviation museum with a group of friends, and 5 out of the 6 kids got to do the Young Eagles flight experience! The pilot they got to fly with was the gentleman on the Young eagles flyer. He has flown with over 1000 students. Great people 10 out of 10 we will definitely return if we are in the area. They museum also has lots of other things to see and learn about.

We visit every year during EAA Airventure. The museum exhibits never get old. Bonus: Air conditioned - a welcome break from the heat during the airshow.

Great museum for adults and kids. The interactive area was great and the old planes so cool. They have free flights for kids 8-17 and they get a chance to fly a little too.

It might not be for everyone, but anyone can find one thing they like here. Took the extended adult family. Everyone had a good time.

Numerous planes. All displayed very nicely, and with information placards to indicate what they are and how they were used. During AirVenture, admission is free with your AirVenture wristband!

Amazing place if you're into flight history. Lots of information on flying and space flight. Kinda disappointed that a lot of the hands on simulators weren't working. But overall, a good time

I love this museum! There is a collection of airplanes here that will excite and satisfy anyone curious about the origins of flight and personal homebuilt aircraft. They have exhibits that cover everything from the Wright Brothers up to modern space flight. Very cool and worthwhile if you're in the Oshkosh area.

There is tons of things to see, watch, playland explore. From old to new and all between. Space exploration to military, there is something for everyone. Flight simulators and many other things await you at EAA!

Historic aircraft and displays, and free for EAA members. I really enjoyed our short visit while at AirVenture, seeing many historic Homebuilts from the 60's- 80's and all sorts of other beautiful relics. There's a vast gift shop too.

The museum was very interesting. The docent greeted us at the entrance and was great. A couple of us got rides in historic open cockpit biplanes. Entire experience was awesome!

What a magnificent experience! Hats off to the EAA, its staff and volunteers. Such an impressive aircraft display and interactive kiosks. The whole museum exceeds expectations and makes you want to come back for more! 10 out of 10 stars.

It was a cool place. Well it was a cool place for my husband who loves aviation. Some of the exhibits in the kids discovery area were out of order so it was somewhat disappointing but overall pretty cool. They need to upkeep the place better.

Cool museum, alot of aircrafts to check out!! Kids loved it..not very busy..only complaint was the fact that alot of the kids stuff in the kids area was damaged or unusable..overall though great place!! N cheap!! 💚

Huge! Lots of things to read and watch. Spent 3 hours. The kid area was pretty nice too - just a lot of outdated interactive displays that don't function anymore which was a bummer.
