Absolute amazing views from the top! Word of advice. Don't let go of both hands during the zip line down. I ended up turning completely around and staring right back up at the jump :( very neat though and well worth the landscape view

There are plenty of pictures of the ski jumping hill, but when you pay for that, you also get access to one of the best indoor playgrounds I’ve ever seen. While the parents are watching the documentary in the adjacent room, let the kids play. There are secrets to be found everywhere throughout the room. It’s also a great place to take off your shoes and relax from that grueling hike up to here. As an adult, I thoroughly enjoyed exploring the playground and sliding down the ski jump slide.

Greta place , they have a lot of history. This place is a very beautiful Museum. They also have sports like skiing and zip-line . As soon as you reach they have a ski simulator. It is good. They also have a Ski museum with a lot of medals meadlions and whole lot of photos and ski slopes and the zip line. I am posting videos and photos they are open most of the time during the year. Still check the list that I have posted.

Absolute must see for fans of ski jumping. Included within the entrance fee to the ski museum (free with Oslo pass). Great view on the Oslo bay. Underline...I was curious about the view from starting bench and realized that in reality it looks much less scary than in the TV 😃 For those visitors who have enough courage there is a possibility to zip-line from top of the jump tower to the landing area (this activity fee has to be paid extra).

(Translated by Google) One of the largest ski jumps in the world. And standing next to him you understand how high he rises above the ground. Even in summer, skiers go in for their sport and jump from it on artificial turf. And at some hours, amateurs are offered to go down on top of an omega for an expensive payment. From the vantage point in front of the ski jump, a beautiful view of the capital of Norway opens up.

If you are in Oslo and been little sports oriented, you should spent 1-2 hours visiting Holmenkollbakken, it’s a large ski jumping hill, cca 425m above sea level. It has also hosted the 1952 Winter Olympics and the FIS Nordic World Ski Championships in 1930, 1966, 1982 and 2011. You find this attraction located above the city with the most stunning views of Oslo and it’s fjord. There is also worlds oldest ski museum and olympic ski jump⛷🎿

This looked like a really cool ski jump especially during the winter watching the jumpers. This place has a zip line in the summer going from the top of the jump to the bottom. There is a ski simulator as well. There is also a biathlon track and they were practicing the shooting part. It looked really interesting and that was in the Springtime..can’t wait to go back in the winter.

A real eye-catcher and a must visit for tourists. Accessibility is provided and in general it is a nice place to take a little break in the sun on the stands while hiking. We watched athletes there training their endurance on the stairs - it's really something special to be able to just walk into a "stadium". The viewing platform at the top is of course windy but you have the best view over Oslo. The price for it, well not quite justified but it's still worth it.

(Translated by Google) The first time you see a ski jumping trampoline from the top, your adrenaline rises, we arrive on the metro line with very steep slopes, beautiful views from the city, great day with lots of sun, there is a museum inside. One of the attractions that has impressed me the most. Would go back again. Regardless of taking the zip line or not, it's a must visit spot: the ski jump ramp is impressive, at a high land area, and the view from the top is great! The lift ticket to the top (without zip line) costs 160kr per person or 400kr per family. The zip line itself is really long and high, and tickets are quite expensive for "just" a zip line. There is also a ski simulator under the ramp, 300kr for families. Be aware that it can get crowded in the high season or summer weekends, and waiting lines may take a couple hours from your day - go in business hours if you can, and buy ticket in advance if you can't.

This ski jumping hill is huge! It is hard to understand the size by simply looking at the pictures. It has hosted several competitions among them the 1952 Winter Olympics. It has been rebuilt several times and its capacity is currently 70000 spectators. There is a museum and also surrounding walking areas.

Nice place for walking, to get to know Oslo-town history, from viking village to XXa. Many real houses from norvegian fjord. And real tales about people, who lived there. Interactive and pleasant

If you are in Oslo then you are definitely going to Holmenkollen to visit the ski-jump. Take the T-Bane number 1 from MajorStuen station. Tremendous views all the way up and topped off with a panoramic spectacular vista when you get to the tip of the tower. On a sunny day you will gaze at the city and the fjord. Ski museum is great: who knew skiing was so ancient! Steps up to museum entrance are very steep, or you can follow the road round the arena which takes you to the entrance at a gentler angle. Free entry with Oslo Pass tourist ticket. T-Ban also free with this too.

Great sports venue! Having seen this place on TV so many times it's quite something to witness a large sports event in person. I recommend showing up early.

Holmenkollen is the hill you see on the north western side of Oslo. It takes 20-30 minutes to get here from the city centre – the view from the subway on the way up the hill is worth the trip alone! The Holmenkollen area is a gateway to Nordmarka, one of the most popular recreational areas in the city. Tryvann and Frognerseteren are great starting points for hikes and trips summer and winter alike.

It is very high place where you can see all of the Oslo as panaroma view. In order see panaroma view you need to pay museum entrance fee( Approx 16€). You can also use zippline that costs 69€.

  • 5/5 Jamie H. 1 year ago on Google
We didn’t enter the museum during our trip as it was closed, there hadn’t been a lot of snow so everything was shut and snow machines were working hard, but we had always seen the Ski Jump from a distance on our previous trips to Oslo so finally made the effort to go and have an up close look. When we return we want to go inside and also up the ski jump to look over Oslo as you can tell the views will be stunning.

I had an absolutely fantastic experience with Zipline in Norway. Not only did I get to witness breathtaking views from the top, but I also had the exhilarating opportunity to try out the Zipline itself. The cost for this incredible adventure was 160 per person to access the top and enjoy the magnificent scenery, while the Zipline experience was priced at 320 per person. Without a doubt, I believe that participating in this activity is an absolute must for anyone visiting Norway. The combination of awe-inspiring vistas and the adrenaline rush of zipping through the air creates an unforgettable experience that is truly incomparable.

Fun place. A bit of a hike to get to (30 mins from Oslo city centre), but fun if you are a skier and fun to watch if you aren’t. The Olympic skiing rink is a highlight!

The zip line was so fun! Well worth the long wait to get on the lift to the top. A nice walk from the nearby metro stop.

  • 4/5 Leif M. 7 months ago on Google
Overall, I do think that Holmenkollen is nice. But I do wish there was a bit more in the way of handicap accessible parking and access at the actual museum and jump tower. In 2023 I don’t think it’s very equitable to have stairs only as an option. I would expect this from a poor country, who didn’t have the means to build such infrastructure, but not from Norway.

  • 5/5 Matt N. 10 months ago on Google

  • 4/5 Eli Z. 10 months ago on Google

Visited with my wife today on an excursion from our Norway cruise. Amazing place where they train for ski jumping. Guide told us that Norwegians are very much into outdoor sports and that they even have summer skiing (skis with wheels). Interesting. It's definitely a place to visit when in Oslo

  • 5/5 WS 11 months ago on Google
We visited the ski jumping arena on the 17th May 2023. Impressive architecture design with a steep slope, and we can only imagine the speed gathered as the athlete ski downward, jump off, and land on the slope. There is a sumulation booth where you can try to experience like a ski jumping athlete. We hope there is an opportunity to visit again to actually see athletes competing for honor and glory.

  • 4/5 Juyin I. 1 year ago on Google
Amazing ski venue. This place is super crowded during the ski festival. But other than that a great place to ski and check out the breathtaking view of the city that it offers. You can also go inside and see the view from the watch tower. But you would have to pay for, which I did not. I enjoyed walking around the area and all the breathtaking beauty of nature around. It’s crazy to see how vertical and high the ski jump is. One can only imagine the thrill a skier might feel on the slope. Overall amazing view and architecture.

The ski museum in Holmenkollen, located underneath the famous ski jump, is the oldest of its kind in the world. The museum presents more than 4,000 years of skiing history, Norwegian polar exploration artifacts, and an exhibition on snowboarding and modern skiing. The observation deck on top of the jump tower offers panoramic views of Oslo. It has also hosted the 1952 Winter Olympics and the FIS Nordic World Ski Championships in 1930, 1966, 1982 and 2011.

  • 5/5 Mattias J. 1 year ago on Google
Quite unbelievable that people jump here with skis in the winter. Such magnificent architecture and structure. Great views over Oslo from up here and it's easy to get here with the subway. You do have to walk the last part up though. There's also a zipline from the top if you dare, but it's rather expensive. The free training you can get from walking up and down the stairs is more worth it.

Sweeping views of Oslo, the fjord and the hills outside town. It was thrilling to stand in frtont and see the view the experience. From the central station it was easy to take a subway and walk to the ski jump. There is a lovely cafe and a ski museum on the premise. Nearby is a lovely church , car recharge station, restaurant ski tracks and more ski jumps.

This is worth a visit for everyone if just to see the views from a high vantage point. If you are into skiing it has lots of things to do here. It is in Zone 1 so although there are lots of tours operating in the area the cheaper way to visit is to just jump on the underground T-line 1 (most of which isn't underground) which takes you there.
