You can’t miss this when you are in Poland. Wroclaw is one of the major cities and the Rynek is an example of Great preservation of historical architecture! There are a lot of nice restaurants and cafes to hangout and click a lot of pictures.

Nicest city in Poland by far, soooo pretty! Beautiful square and great atmosphere, hundreds of souvenir shops, lots of restaurants and live music, spent an amazing week here! The dwarfs are so cool, and we had a lot of fun seeing how many we could find (only about 100)

Beautiful Town Square bordered by colourful pretty buildings with lovely architectural features. Lots of restaurants here to chose from and the last two days have seen free evening performances on a central stage as part of the music festival here. A modern fountain bubbles away in part of the square.

Beautiful place to visit, with a magical atmosphere in Christmas with its market and attractions. Recommended for entire family, enjoy decorations, taste typical drinks and food while you are surrounded by beautiful architecture. It can get quite crowded, so best time is early in the morning, from 10am. Its probably a place to visit every season!!

Beautiful square lots of restaurants and bars lovely building and architecture. Church impressive sight. Loved finding all the little bronze gnomes everywhere. Apparently 800 + to find all round Wroclaw. I would love to visit the market at Christmas 🎄 I'm told its beautiful.

Beautiful and large town square that surrounds on all four sides the town hall and some adjacent buildings. I understand it is pretty much all re uolt after the destruction of WWII, but they've done a bloody good job of it. The town hall itself is pretty magnificent and it is worth going to the museum within to look around the interior. There are a wealth of bars and restaurants etc around the square, at least some of which I could recommend. I visited during the Christmas market period where the whole area I'd particularly scenic.

The square(s) around the main building make for a great stroll through the city center. Sit down on the terrace of one of the many restaurants and soon you will see the same people walk by more than once. The atmosphere is calm and friendly. The one mega annoyance is the huge amount of pushers trying to get you into a strip club. Don't miss the small passage in the middle of the center building.

The buildings surrounding the square are beautiful and unique. There are also a lot of dwarfs to be spotted. Look out for them near doors or pillars. They are quite tiny. And the square has the best Christmas market!!! Giant Christmas tree, a christmas pyramid, and colourful decorations. Apart from the usual food and drinks stalls, there are games, rides and even a roller coaster! Really fun and festive!!!

Stunningly beautiful square in a pretty city that seems be much less known outside Poland than it deserves. On the other hand, the relative lack of mass tourism adds to its charm. Plenty of restaurants and outdoor terraces make for a lively atmosphere

The Christmas market was very nice to walk through. It was one of the best we have been to. The market square and surrounding streets were very clean. The cleaners were busy the whole time, which was nice, as there were 100's of tourists. I enjoyed searching for the dwarfs. They are beautifully made.

The most scenic view in Wroclaw. Beautiful colorful houses with uniquely shaped roofing, gnomes on every step, always some kind of entertainment or performance going. We rented place with a window view on Market Square (Rynek). During winter time even more amazing view because of Christmas tree and lights. Must see place in Wroclaw.

Market Square or Rynek at Wroclaw Visited on 26/9/2019 The Market Square is a medieval market square, served only as a pedestrian zone. It is more of rectangular in shape. Some of the buildings are colourful, especially the Gothic Old Town Hall, New City Hall, and Tenements Hansel and Gretel. Wroclaw is renowned for gnomes, and many are found in the Square.

Very beautiful place to visit, fantastic atmosphere and lots and lots of places with delicious food and drinks. Easy to walk from any hotel chain as Hiton, Marriott etc., the market give you a large opportunity to see beautiful architecture, colors, animations and styles. Cons: As in the most city centers accross Europe, there are lots of people that invite you in various places, some of them only once, some of them are very insistent and the best thing is just to be polite and say no, avoid talking with them much and enjoy your beautiful relaxing walk.

Absolutely beautiful place to visit with alotvti see and do. I would recommend looking for black and white pictures of area right after WWII and you can see the destruction and effort needed to rebuild this beautiful place. A bonus is the 800 Gnomes through out this city which there are maps you can purchase.

I recently had the pleasure of visiting the Wroclaw Rynek, and I must say, it was quite an experience. From the moment I stepped into the vibrant square, I was immediately captivated by its bustling energy and undeniable charm. As I walked through the Rynek, it became apparent why it is considered one of the most popular attractions in Wroclaw. The architecture of the surrounding buildings was simply stunning, with colorful facades and intricate details that reflected the city's rich history. Each building seemed to have its own unique story to tell, and I found myself marveling at the craftsmanship and attention to detail. However, it's worth mentioning that the Wroclaw Rynek is a popular tourist spot, and it can get quite crowded, especially during peak hours. But despite the throngs of people milling about, the square managed to retain its beauty and allure. The lively atmosphere created by the mix of locals and tourists added to the overall charm of the place. I couldn't help but be drawn to the centerpiece of the Rynek, the stunning Gothic-style Old Town Hall. Its towering presence and intricate architecture made it a sight to behold. I took a moment to soak in the grandeur of the building and imagine the history that had unfolded within its walls. Another highlight of the Wroclaw Rynek was the abundance of outdoor cafes and restaurants. I decided to take a break from exploring and settled down at one of the cafes to enjoy a cup of coffee. Sitting there, surrounded by the lively atmosphere and watching the world go by, was a perfect way to take in the beauty of the square. Despite the crowds, the Wroclaw Rynek had an undeniable beauty that was impossible to overlook. It's a place that truly captures the essence of the city, with its rich history, stunning architecture, and vibrant atmosphere. If you're visiting Wroclaw, I highly recommend taking the time to explore this lively and enchanting square. Just be prepared for the crowds, and you're sure to have an unforgettable experience.

It is being said the largest market square in Europe yet I am not 100% sure. Still quite nice and large area with a way of plentiful options of cafes and restaurants. In the evenings, there a bit over amount of street sellers that don’t look nice. Night street performers are definitely talented.

Very busy with a lot of shops for a Christmas Season. Fun to have a outting and walk around a bit and see how many Gnomes that you can find within the Square. A lot of tourists groups & guides and everyone enjoying the season. So far this has to be the largest Christmas Market I have been to.

I visited for a weekend not realising the Christmas market was on and the Saturday was a public holiday. I was so pleased I came though. The Christmas market was so magical, the lights, entertainment, stalls, food and drinks. Everything was reasonably priced, variety and not crowded. I spent all three days bumbling around. The buildings of the market square are beautiful which photos dotted around telling the history and the area, it really helped tell the story. Lots of dwarfs to be found in the area!

Visited the Christmas Market here, and arrived by train. The station is about 20 minute walk to the Market square and along the way you can try and spot the dwarfs! The market area is large and spacious with lovely pastel coloured buildings. Lots of restaurants and cafes and local shops. We much preferred it here to Krakow as a lot bigger and seemed more to do

(Translated by Google) Medieval market square in Wrocław, now the central part of the pedestrian zone. One of the largest old town markets in Europe, with the largest town halls in Poland. The Wrocław market, according to Olgierd Czerner, covers the entire area of the square with all architectural elements located in its area and the buildings surrounding the square on all four sides. Due to the difficulty of determining the boundaries of individual properties in subsequent historical periods, the term Wrocław market includes buildings up to the boundaries running along Ofiar Oświęciskich, Szewska, Igielna and Kiełbaśnicza streets. The market square forms an urban layout with the diagonally adjacent Solny Square and the square around the Church of St. Elizabeth. There are 10 streets leading to the Market Square - two in each corner: from the north-east corner, Świdnicka and Oławska, Wita Stwosza and Kuźnicza, Odrzańska and św. Mikołaja, the Solny Square adjoins the west-north corner with Ruska and Gepperta Streets. On the eastern frontage, there is ul. Kurzy Targ and on the southern side a narrow ul. Prison. On the western frontage there is the Passage of St. Dorothy turning into Zaułek Jerzy Grotowski (former St. Dorothy Street). The central part of the Market Square is occupied by a central block turned by 7 ° clockwise, consisting of the Old Town Hall, the New Town Hall and tenement houses. In the inner part of the content [a] there are three streets: Przejście Garncarskie and Przejście Żelaźnicze as well as Sukiennice Street. for the Wiki One of the most beautiful Markets in Poland. Wroclaw market square is a historic landmark and one of the most spectacular public place in Poland. It is the second latgest market square in Poland after that of Krakow. In the middle of the square there is the town hall with a tower where there are astronomical clocks. There are many restaurants, shops, night clubs and museums in the square. In addition, there are many Wroclaw dwarfs in and around the square.

The most beautiful Christmas markets in Europe! Everywhere clean, Polish neighbours great. The decorations are stylish. A city with a wonderful history.

  • 5/5 Terry J. 2 years ago on Google
Excellent Christmas market with local and foreign goods , local produce. Alot of effort has gone into the market as it's very popular with some great food and drink stalls.

I was in Wroclaw for the first time… The old town itself filled my soul with different emotions. The aesthetics of the «rynek glowny” are off the charts. It so happened that I ended up just at the opening of the Christmas fair. The square is lit with lanterns, there is a New Year tree, tourists walking around this square, including myself, enjoy this atmosphere😍 I want to come here in the summer!!!

Aah market square!! A perfect example of European culture and style. Nice and cool place to hang out. The construction of Europe is really an art and you can see the example here.

Beautiful architecture and colourful buildings, I think the best town in Poland fir visit and spend a weekend away

  • 5/5 Amit C. 1 year ago on Google
Same place, different hours. Rynek Wrocław always works like a charm. What a perfect place to take evening walks, appreciate the vibrant life of the city, seek refuge in a cafe or restaurant or a bar. Even better get into one of the tall towers (watch out for the closing hours) and head to a viewpoint, it's the best at sunset hours. You wouldn't like to miss this most amazing market square in Poland. Cheers

On of the best things about Poland is its beautiful market squares, and this one is no disappointment! The square is sounded with wonderfully colored buildings on each side and the old town hall in the center. Make sure to try and spot some gnomes while walking around!

A busy but beautiful space with lots of history. Captivating by day. But rather overwhelming at night with all the noise and energy coming from it.

  • 5/5 Krystian A. 1 year ago on Google
I love the colorful buildings around the square. The mood is usually happier and more festive than at most similar town squares in Poland – expect impromptu dances and a general feeling of joy. There's enough little side streets and squares and cool places within a reasonable walking distance to spend an hour or two sightseeing just within and around the square. Looks even better around the winter holidays.

Amazingly lovely square lots of very nice bars and restaurants, has a lovely summer vibe with summer market stalls similar to those Christmas markets, selling food drinks, , crafts souvenirs and lots more. Even an area with sand and deck chairs.

It's the best place for hangout with partner, friends, and family. So many options in restaurants. At present some festivals are going on and so it is more beautiful. It is generally crowded on weekends. Loved the place.

Such a colorful and amazing old square, every establishments are old and its unique on their art, so many stores around with products they are proud of and its very colorful. Good visit 👍

Excellent market Square, the heart of the city, simply breathtaking! The architecture is great (except maybe the santander building that has nothing to do with the rest). The Square is equaly beautiful by day and by night. The restaurants/terraces are fairly priced, you could spend few hours just looking at people passing by, tourists with smile on their faces, kids looking for dwarfs ... just go and enjoy!

The square is enormous. It even has huge buildings in the middle with alleyways between them. In fact initially I thought the central palaces marked one side of the square, I hadn't realised they were in the middle and the square stretched on beyond! The coloured painted buildings are wonderful. Full of shops, bars, ice-cream shops, restaurants, etc., as well as the gorgeous Gothic town hall among the central structures.

Beautiful old town with a market square. It is full of colorful old buildings that are well maintained. There are several different types of restaurant with all kinds of cuisines. There are also 2 beautiful churches with old polish architecture. Souvenir shops are also there where you can get souvenirs of the city.

Gorgeous place with lovely restaurants, pubs, places to visit, and chilax with family or friends. It would be lovely if there were some public benches to rest when you felt like it.

I think all market squares are very similar in Poland. But Rynek in Wroclaw is the best one for me. I am totally in love with the city. And there is no more pleasure than to seat in Wedel cafe sipping coffee and watching people going through the market square 🤷‍♀️☺️

The squarenisnhuge, and filled with Xmas stalls offering food and gifts. A little more pricey than I would have expected for Poland, but very festive. The square is lined with colourful buildings which house, cafes, restaurants and shops

Beautiful part of the Old Town, dating as far as 13th Century. Market surrounded by a colorful, classic tenements. One of Poland's 'must visit' cities. Wroclaw is also known for one of the best Christmas Markets in Europe.
