Good place to go out

Great nature in close to center of Ostrava, clean, with nice shade and places to sit and rest.

The park with tall trees multiple pathways along the river ostravice. The well banked river with a micro check dam and ducks enjoying their freedom south a walkway along the river, I don't think you need anything else to spend the morning walk. Though lacked in flowers variety like its German or Italian counter part at Europe, it is well compensated by the various unbelievable hues and colors of leaves and trees during autumn season

Central Park of Ostrava. Nice green relaxation area. Highlight is chilling spot at river bank or natural bouldering walls. There are missing public toilets even city is planning to build them some day.

Nice place to Forget About everything

Best place in the city. Great for walks or many different sports. The river gives a border to the park and creates yet another lovely set of sceneries. In the summer, the park is crowded and resembles a human ant-hill. Autumn in the park is beautifully colorful as all the trees give their leaves off. The winter means less people, but the place is just as nice.

I only don't understand why so many roller scaters using roads in areas for free dog walking while they have better roads along the river created apecifically for riding. Some parts would use some upgrades to get back open amphitheatre and such. But best place for short walk in city centre.

If you have not been go today. A beautiful walk in the park. Grab a coffee or a beer and stroll besides the river. Feed the ducks and swans, they are always hungry. At the weekends during summer there is usually some kind of event for entertainment

A perfect place for a morning jog or walk when living somewhere close to the city center, especially in the mornings the park is empty, this is a nice place to relax.
