Visited the Michelin recommended @retrogusto_otranto for lunch, and their house made pasta was amazing! I love how simple and beautiful the presentations are, and they tasted super flavorful and chewy. Really enjoyed the fish as well. Very fresh and well cooked!

Beautiful food and professional service. Fresh seafood and beautiful presentation. The Antipasti menu is particularly interesting in my opinion - some dishes that were not seen in other restaurants. The seasoning for all dishes is perfect whilst keeping the freshness of seafood. Really delightful dining experience and we’d hope to return again during our stay in Otranto.

Very elegant restaurant on a side street, easily overlooked. Delicious seafood delicacies prepared from your selection. Chef and staff are very attentive and presentation is excellent. Recommend having dinner early around 7pm, to avoid the crowd.

Presentation of the food is fantastic, but that's about all that was good here. We were really excited to try this place and sadly we were left wanting more. The quantities were good, sadly the food lacked the flavor. We had a pasta dish and the grilled seafood selection, the pasta was cooked well but the sauce had no flavor. The grilled seafood was nice, but nothing outstanding. The staff started out well and then showed any interest and quickly fell out of favor with us. It's apparently in the Michelin guide, but do yourself a favor and find another place to spend your money. Go here if you have excess cash for the day and don't mind well played food with not much else.

Everything that we have ordered was very good and well prepared, the bread was fantastic too! I definitely will go back to Retro Gusto.

Very bad service, we where waiting for our dishes for a long time, and ended up without any food. Log story short, we waited for an hour, waitress told us that chef was giving priority to other dishes and we still got excused when we wanted to pay. Do not recommend the place and seems like restaurant does not live up the the Michelin standards.

We were welcomed by an enthusiastic team of young motivated waiters at this restaurant. (What a relief after an earlier bad experience elsewhere) The dishes are of top quality and so is the service. A dropped napkin was replaced within seconds! The Bialetti Coffee can's used to flavor the dish with a sort of 'bouillabaise' is a pleasant detail. Prices are very okay for the excellent quality and location. Highly recommended!

Everything was delicious and lot of care on every detail. High quality service, and very fresh food. Strongly recommend!

We had the frutti di mare risotto and swordfish. The food is bland and in regards to the price - the standard should be higher. The food itself is well cooked, but its lacking seasoning and that extra touch. We had to ask the waiters twice before we got our bill, the wait became even longer as noone picked our payment. We had to go inside for the card payment which no one adressed us.

Good mediteranean food, it was a bit crowded since it was a national holidat when we went. Good tiramisu. Pasta was good, a decent octopus, good shrimps. It faced a gas station nearby, thats weird, inside its nicer than outside. All good in the end.

It's not what it aspires to be. Antipasti were good, but it quickly went downhill from there. The "fresh fried fish of the day" was neither fresh or of the day. If that wasn't enough, breading was hard and severely overcooked. Waited more than one hour after hors-d'oeuvres for the next dish. Waiters never checked on the table for water after the dishes were eventually brought out. Save yourself a disappointment and go somewhere else.

Honestly so perfect I could live here forever. Clean, modern and elegant. The service ( we had a wonderful gentleman by the name of Alessandro who served us); friendly, good humour and attentive. I was given a vegan option, consisting of a ravioli dish which was AMAZING!! Cooked to perfection. All in all, if I could give more stars I would do so in a heartbeat. Coming back again for definite in the foreseeable future. Sending love, light and huge success. Thank you Retro Gusto.

It's really great fresh pasta. Nice outdoor dining area, not on the sea front, which was fine for us as it meant the menu was a little bit cheaper but no reduction in quality. Friendly server dealing with us in English. Service was a little slow at the end, but she had many tables to attend, so no biggie. I'm happy to recommend it.
