I was visiting Arnprior alone and was deciding on a restaurant to sit for lunch. I chose to try the Lumbertown Ale House because of the enticing menu and the patio was available. Upon arriving at 1:10PM I was promptly greeted and I asked to sit on the patio. The server took my drink order right away, and it came promptly. I ordered food when my drink was brought out (a wrap and fries). Again, my food arrived promptly. As I was eating, there were several things I needed, such as napkins, a refill, ketchup... I waited patiently as 10 minutes, 15 minutes, and finally 20 minutes passed and the server did not come out to check on me since she brought the food out to me in the corner patio. She did however check on the elderly couple on the patio who were seated on the border of inside/outside the restaurant. By this 20 minute mark, I really had to get leaving to my appointment. I left my leftovers outside while I walked inside to ask for service to get a refill water before leaving, a takeout box, and the bill. As I approached my server, she was on her phone behind the bar and did not look up. I asked to speak to the manager of the restaurant, and was shocked when she said she is the owner. I told her that I felt disrespected to be left without service for 25 minutes. Her response "Well what do you expect, I'm busy in here and I'm the only one". I apologized and said I wish I would have known that the patio could not be tended to and I would have made it easier for you by sitting inside. She replied "OK, so what do you want?". I said, the bill finally please, and a takeout container for my leftovers. She proceeded to serve a few other tables while I was standing there before going back to get my takeout container. I got back to my table with the takeout box and other patrons said "there were birds at your plate eating your food while you were gone". Very disappointed, I went back inside and told the server/owner that I was upset I had to leave my table to get service and as a result my food I planned for later was contaminated. Again she asked "Well what do you expect, it's a PATIO, OUTSIDE". I replied "I expected service at my table?", and reiterated "I feel disrespected". I asked "Is it because I am a single female small in stature that you felt it was acceptable to ignore me because I likely won't speak up?" She replied "DON'T GO THERE!!!". I was stunned and shocked by the response. I turned to everyone at the bar and said "I am so sorry, I came in here feeling great on a sunny day and I did not mean to cause anyone extra work". The owner did not say anything, just printed the bill in full and handed it to me. I paid in full and walked out of the restaurant crying. The patrons on the way out asked me if I was OK. I said I had never had such terrible customer service in a restaurant in my entire life.

Had a very pleasant lunch here during a stop in Arnprior. The veggie burger I ate was quite good, while the beer from Cold Bear Brewing Co. (which is from Arnprior) that my server recommended was excellent. While eating, I saw a sign that they have live music on Saturday evenings, something I will keep in mind as I would happily come back here.

Fantastic food and service (considering how busy it was for the two servers). Nice ambiance too. You can tell they use quality ingredients and the chef knows what they’re doing with them! Can’t wait to find an excuse to go back!

Amazing food, decent prices, and awesome atmosphere! Make sure to call ahead of time to reserve a table because this place gets packed really fast! I had tacos, 3 different kinds, pulled pork, jerk chicken, and beer battered fish. They all tasted amazing! For an appetizer, we shared their homemade spinach dip, which came with tortilla chips and pita bread. Highly recommend this app! It's a great spot with treats for your taste buds. Everyone should go there at least once if they get the chance!

I had the pleasure of visiting Lumbertown Ale House recently, and I must say, it was an unforgettable experience. From the moment I walked in, the ambiance of the establishment caught my attention. The rustic decor combined with a cozy and welcoming atmosphere created the perfect setting for a memorable evening. Now, let's talk about the food and drink options. "Phenomenal" doesn't even begin to describe the quality and variety they offer. From their delectable appetizers that tantalize the taste buds to their main courses that showcase culinary expertise, every dish was a masterpiece. The flavors were rich and thoughtfully crafted, leaving me in awe of the culinary prowess of their kitchen. But it wasn't just the food that left an impression; it was the drink selection as well. The extensive array of craft beers, fine wines, and handcrafted cocktails truly catered to every palate. Whether you're a beer aficionado or a wine enthusiast, Lumbertown Ale House has something that will tickle your taste buds. What truly elevated my experience, however, was the impeccable service. The staff was attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable about the menu. Their recommendations were spot-on, and they were always ready with a smile to cater to any request. All in all, Lumbertown Ale House is more than just a dining establishment; it's an experience. The combination of outstanding food, an impressive drink selection, attentive service, and a memorable ambiance makes it a must-visit for anyone looking to indulge in a culinary journey that lingers in the mind long after the meal is over.

We had a really good lunchtime meal here on the weekend. I have two complaints about many restaurants: loud music and hard finishes that amplify sound. However I didn't have to worry about that here. Despite being nearly full, the restaurant was quiet. The food was excellent and flavorful and there was a good variety on the menu. One indication of how good the food was when a group of 10 stopped talking and tucked right into their food. There is a good selection of local craft beers on tap, from lagers to IPAs, as well as mocktails and craft sodas too. The service was good to round out a positive experience. I will definitely come here again on my next trip to the 'Prior!

First time at Lumbertown Ale House for our group of 4, and we all agreed we'll definitely be back! Each of our meals were cooked perfectly and were delicious - fish & chips were large servings, and the two burgers did not disappoint and were served with hot fries! Added bonus, there was live music, two guys with their saxophone & guitar, playing familiar tunes we all loved. An enjoyable evening all around!

Been here a couple if times and the food, service has been absolutely perfect. Came in today for a light lunch...and had the French onion soup. I wasn't expecting the large bowl of deliciousness. If you like or just curious about trying this soup...it's a must. You won't be disappointed.....all our meals were fantastic.

Very nice cozy restaurant. A nice range of beers. As expensive as you might expect this type of establishment to be. My issue with my visit on December 5th in the evening was the waitress. There were two working. The waitress with tattoos was very kind and she seemed happy enough to be working. The other waitress, the brunette, was an absolute snob. She looked like she wanted to be any other place. Like the look on her face was just miserable. Did she get asked to work on her day off or something?? When I go to this type of restaurant (cozy pub)I expect the wait staff to be friendly. Like, at least try? Won't be back.
