Geriatric cashiers don't know what they're doing. When you go to the lumber yard the employees are too busy chatting among themselves to help you find what you need. I was sifting through badly twisted 4x4's and the guy yelled at me to put them all back when I was done then kept chatting with his buddy. I'll avoid this place from now on.

Yesterday I went to buy a glue for my IDY and waterproof spay plus for clay stone for graden growth. I am a Thai -Canadian have live in val des monts since 7 years. Normally I use to do groceries and housing stuffs in gatineau. But since this yers I don't have much spare times. I decided to used located business. But I was very disappointed with the 2 young girl who were waiting there. I explained to here my France is limited but my advanced with English with Thai accent. That's those teenagers girls did not mind about their duties. One just eating jelly gums and look around like finding her mind somewhere. And other one just tell me to spelling the word "glue" I showed she my stuff that I need to stick this 2 metirail together. I need a good glue. She just siting down and didn't react anything. Finally moving slowly plus tell the jelly gumy girl to do Google on thire phone for information. In this state of patient level I holding up my eyes looking up to the roof with impatient face. But there is a senior standing there and see my actions. He come to ask me immediately do you need help Miss? You prefer in English? I say "yes " thank you Sir. I explained what I want in English and he replied word "Glue" to make sure we both understand the same thing. I do really appreciate his services and English skills language. After those young girl see all the situations. She runs around to find what customers want to buy and working harder immediately. You know when you are in a small business you don't have evey stuffs in the store. You much keeping you kindness and mind services to keeping customers returned. I dont blame the store. But I do blame this young people workers. They don't mind and not thoughtful. They just there to correct their dollars hours. When you get to age of working. You must have some responsibility for what u are doing. This is family education not a socially developed caractéristiques or institution training. It's basically responsable for you incomes, to be fair for you boss with other employees too. I will go back to use services in Gatineau same usually was. Thank you again for the senior staff who working hard. I wish you all have good day working in every day.

Absolutely terrible place to try to do business with. First they never answer the phones. If you deal with one person by next week they will have quit and been replaced by someone who knows even less. The yard staff is completely incompetent. My friend and I had to pick through lumber to get some sort of decent pieces while the young yard guy scowled at us. I have also seen my husband help a customer load his truck. My husband doesn't even work there!! All while the yard guy sat in a forklift and watched. After calling for over an hour today to try to get confirmation for a delivery for tomorrow morning and not having anyone answer I was finally told by the cashier to call back at 6am tomorrow. This will be the last time we deal with this store!

Since the hardware in Poltimore closed I've been going to RONA in Val-des-monts. They have consistently great service. Staff know the products and are helpful. On this last occasion it was Kim who helped choose the products I purchased.

Great store! I bought some of my appliances from here and it was less expensive than the home appliance stores with free delivery, haul away service and installation. Plus they delivered everything the same week when some other stores quoted me a month delivery.

Returns are always a hassle. If you have lost your receipt, they charge you a restocking fee. Any other renovation store, if you don't have a receipt, they can either look it up by your credit card or will give you store credit for the full amount. Other than that, they are good.

Extremely helpful, great bilingual customer service, prompt on-time delivery. Owner is very involved in our community. Our first choice for home reno information and materials!

Fantastic Rona franchise. Has almost everything the big stores have. Drive through lumber yard makes things so much easier. Great staff allows for quick and easy experiences
