I was in the washroom when a female staff walked out of the toilet stall and straight back to work without washing her hands. Makes me wonder what other unhygienic practices this place has.

Terrible, terrible service. Seemed like a total failure of management, as the servers were nice and appreciative of our patience (they acknowledged our lengthy wait), but the place was completely short staffed. A table of four next to us walked out after not being greeted for 20 mins. I waited 30 minutes just to put in a food order. A friend showed up, but also had to wait another 20 mins to order food. Her food showed up before mine. Come to find out, my order hadn't even been put into the computer. My order finally showed up an hour after I ordered, but had hair on it. Also waited for drinks, and then the bill. The place wasn't busy enough for service that was that poor, and the hair in the food was unacceptable.

My family and I went to the dueling pianos and the performers were AMAZING!!! The service and food was absolutely awful...our waitress would never come back to the table so we would constantly have to get up to get her or wave her down and she would still basically ignore our table but she would check on all the other tables. She was not friendly at all, very rude with lots of attitude. Once we finally got her to come to the table to get a second round of drinks and food, it took an hour for the food to come and the one order was wrong so we didn't even reorder because it would've taken too long and the food was cold and mediocre. She also forgot about some of our drinks so we had to ask other servers who were much more friendly to get the drinks. Would mot recommend that restaurant .

Terrible place. Expensive drinks and the wait staff was rude. They have a big screen to watch a game but then reserve all the tables on the half the bar with the screen for people that are showing up afte the game is done so try to relegate you to the bleachers. The place was almost empty. No wonder. Will never go back.

The place itself was not the greatest, went to see dueling pianos they were absolutely amazing, however wish they would play somewhere else. Arrived paid for table of 3, got told they did not have one so we were put at bar chair instead. Manager did not come speak or even try to correct it or offer something for the price difference. Do not sell certain tickets for a different price if it will not be upheld upon arrival. Seen a spider crawling on the chair and than a centipede crawl across another table. Certainly did not order food so cannot comment on if it was good. Our waitress was friendly. Glad we saw dueling pianos however will not be back here.

Overall great place when we went. Service was excellent, and the server was extremely friendly and professional. The interior was comfortablyit, and the seating was comfortable and offered an alright view onto part of the Byward Market. Only real issue was it wasnt easy to see the game we wanted necessarily because the TVs werent in optimal locations for viewing multiple games. Food came pretty quick considering they were fairly busy when we were there, and was quite good. All in all not a bad place and will come again

Decent service but they were missing most of their beers and the food was really poor and over priced. The nachos looked and tastes like they had been sitting under the heat lamp for way too long and all the toppings were lazily dropped in the centre. The one draft beer we managed to get was flat and too warm.

What A VIEW! My girlfriend and i decided to try this place out for the first time and by luck decied to go upstairs since the patio was full and im glad it was. The interior looks amazing , everything matches and we were lucky to find the table right by the window and as you can see in the pictures amazing view. Now to the food, I'm a burger guy so I ordered the double sirlon burger with sweet potatoe fries as a side. I didn't like the fact that you have to pay extra for sweet potatoes but it was delicious Nevertheless. My girlfriend got a pound of wings which were delicious again a little pricey quality of the food was great very friendly staff no problems there,if only they can tweak the pricing and let the customer know what theyre being charged for that would be great. Definitely going back😁

Went with my bf and paid $70 per ticket for the front row. Took 35 min to get offered one drink. When we went to the bar we were told they come to you and to go sit to wait an hour and 20 min later for a couple of drinks and some nachos. The show was ok for the most part nothing that should cost 70 bucks for front row experience. And after all that waiting they got the order wrong and the pop tasted like water. It’s practically a dive with too many ppl and not enough staff to handle the flow of ppl. Utterly not impressed one bit.for the price they ask it’s not worth it. Ottawa sens should be embarrassed to have their name associated with this establishment. It’s beyond sad. Money better spent elsewhere!!!!!

Disappointed beyond belief…… We bought tickets for the ‘Duelling Piano’s on Saturday evening, tickets said ‘6-9pm’. When we arrived at 5:50pm, the doors weren’t open yet. As everyone filtered in, the place was a mess. The tables were dirty, they weren’t placed orderly and there was no one at the door scanning our tickets to show us to our tables. We picked a table, only to find out that it wasn’t our table and we moved to the appropriate one. There were approximately a handful of servers on the floor plus two to three bartenders. (This could be off slightly though) Our server came around and took our drink order (we weren’t ordering food) and 20 minutes later, the drinks arrived. All of the draft beer that was given to us was wrong. All of our glasses smelled and tasted like puke. We sent them back and she apologized and returned with a replacement round for each of us. Again, they were all wrong and the glasses still smelled awful. We again sent them back and she said ‘You’re not the only ones complaining about the draft beer and glasses.’ She returned with bottles after that, and the beer was fine from there on. I started keeping track of my own drinks that our table was ordering because every time she came to our table she was flustered and couldn’t remember the drink orders or would forget some and have to come back. Fast forward to the end of the night, bills were wrong. She took a photo of my phone where I had kept track of the drinks to be able to compare to her list. She returned with the corrected bills but there was still a discrepancy. She was charging us for a ‘pint’ of beer when no one at the table was ordering pints, and for one of the original draft beers because there was ‘half of it drank’. Long story short- we refused to pay for either of those two drinks and the ‘GM’ came to our table saying that ‘he tasted our draft beer that we sent back ‘with a straw’ and that every one of them tasted fine.’ He also went on to say that if we didn’t pay for the ‘half of the draft beer’ that he was charging us for that he was going to call the police. Nice bunch. Our table of 6 adults, spent almost $300 in drinks in less than 3 hours, and this is how we were treated. We will never return to this place. On a positive note; The Duelling Pianos were FANTASTIC! Worth every penny of the ticket to see them play. If you’d like to see them play, save yourself the nightmare and see them at ‘The Marshes’ at the Brookstreet Hotel in Kanata. At least that place has some class….

Went for a dueling pianos show. Music was amazing, servers were great, manager was not. They put us at a small booth with another group (is this allowed during covid?), then moved us to the bar after we said we were not comfortable/they realized there was not enough room (we paid for a table in advance fyi). Said they would pay for our drinks to make up for the error and then refused to when the bill came. Honestly have never experienced anything like this before. Would not definitely not go back.

Great restaurant if you like not being able to see most of the TV, a terrible atmosphere, and absolutely terrible food. Waitresses do their best but nothing saves this place. Go to the senate if you like enjoying yourself at all.

Worst dining experience! Had reservations for 8:30pm, ordered by 8:45pm with kids. Pieces of our meal came out by 10pm and the rest by 10:45pm. Spoke with the manager and waitress and then our waitress stopped coming to our table. When I confronted the manager 2 hours after ordering and still waiting for the kids meals he seemed disinterested and apathetic. Food was cold and tasteless. After numerous complainants, we walked out with half meals, manager still didn't offer an apology or a discount. Save your money, the calories, and your frustration. Garbage restaurant and even worse quality food. If I could give a minus rating I would. First time I didn't leave a tip but then again first time I walked out.

Worst experience ever. We went on a Thursday night which was all you can eat wings night. The manager was running around with no purpose. Did not see one order of wings come out and we waited 1.5 hours before deciding to walk out. Never got any wings pand neither did the other tables. There was no cook in the kitchen. Don't go here.

The "Pork Belly" BLT was nothing more than over cooked thick bacon. While the server did say the sandwich was small, I didn't expect a main course sandwich to be snack sized, so I upgraded to "poutine" to pair with. This was non-melty curds, turkey gravy, plain old fries, which were served cold. All for nearly $20. My colleagues had the all you can eat pink meet chicken wings. The service was very slow. It may be a good place to watch a game and drink a flat beer but it's not for me.

My boyfriend and I decided to have a late lunch after visiting Winterlude at Sens House bar/restaurant. After entering upstairs it looked quite empty and quiet. With it not being busy at all it took some time before being greeted and sat down. The waitress was not overly friendly at all along with the manager or owner. We placed drink orders and eventually ordered our food. (Chicken fingers/fries, and a chicken sandwich/salad) We waited almost 40 minutes for our food. It was ridiculous. At least the food was ok but we should not have waited that long. Not even a comment to us or apology about how slow it was taking. She only put a smile on near the end when bringing over the cheque. I also looked up at the lights at one moment and could not believe how gross they were. Every single potlight was covered in spiderwebs and dust. We will definitely not be back and DO NOT RECOMMEND this place to eat at all. If I could give it a '0' I would. The '1' was for the food.

I have to give this place 5 stars for allowing me to feel joy again. I haven't laughed as hard as I did when I got my food in years. I ordered a chicken taco and to their credit I recieved a chicken taco - A full sized chicken tender soaked in luke warm buffalo sauce with a ranch drizzle, served with chunks of lettuce, beat up tomato pieces, and wrapped in tortilla that could double as a humvee tire repair kit. Truly a work of art - I doubt many people have experienced a flavour combination this unique. As you can see on the picture attached this was a 100% authentic Mexican taco. Great server - attentive and cheerful.

Had a great time, the dueling piano show was very good. The drinks were awful...draft beer was flat and warm, we then had rye and ginger ale...and again the ginger ale was flat. The show was great but the drinks sucked big time.

Cool sports bar. The roof opens to allow an open air atmosphere for almost half of the seating area. Good food and a nice big screen to watch the game. There are many other smaller screens as well.

We thoroughly enjoyed Dave Khalil and the dualing pianos and can't wait to see them again at another venue. The Sens House was terrible. There is no signage for the venue, the hostess was less than welcoming, we had to fight for a table that wasn't going to collapse, the servers spent more time dancing together than serving their clients and the menu was incredibly limited. We won't be going back!

First I have to mention that we had hard time finding the place, because it now has new name - SkyLounge. The place has a very interesting vibe. We've been there for The Duelling Pianos concert, and they delivered. The food was good, especially considering that SkyLounge is a nightclub. I had a hamburger, which was one of the best out there, with fries, which were crisp, and salted just right. My wife had a poutine, which was also very good. Service was fast and very friendly.

I was looking for a place to watch a soccer match, but just learned that what used to be the Sens House closed during the pandemic. Now it's the Sky Lounge and they are a different type of venue.

It was going to be a disappointing experience. We had reserved for sever people and when we arrived we were told that they did not have us on the reservation list. We were so upset since it was super blow night and our kids had been looking forward to seeing the game at this location. The manager quickly gave us another table and had us seated in no time. They waitress was super friendly and patient with the kids. We loved this place so much. Can’t wait to come back in the summer. Just make sure you call to make sure you have a reservation ahead of time or have them email you a confirmation.

We had a group of 8 here the last time the Sens made the playoffs and it was a surreal experience. Not only was the crowd going wild, but the service was actually keeping up with our orders which was impressive given that the place was near or at capacity. I'd go here again when I'm in town again.

Ok place to grab a beer and watch the game, but the food is not so desirable. Had the nachos with brisket, the brisket was just thrown on top of the cheese and was bland. The toppings were only on the very top of a heaping mound of chips. Good thing they gave me salsa.

  • 4/5 Jocelynn P. 4 years ago on Google
Best place in town to watch the game! The place has a ton of TVs that will allow you to watch any game in any seat of the house. The service is great and the beer is cold. Just be careful when going up the stairs when it is rainy because it can get a little slippery. Hopefully they fix the roof soon.
