Finally! A bar that doesnt care if their customers are covid positive! Horrible place, but at least me and my friends can go there unvaxxed too!

Very friendly staff and patrons, great prices, and wonderful music. Pretty decent bar bathrooms as well, which is always a plus! Be prepared to pay cash (multiple ATMs on site).

So. I can enjoyed.my time there. However. What I didn't enjoy was staff trying to get me to modify my words and conversation about the homeless situation in the city. As Someone who has been in this situation i was still shocked at how nothing has changed.

The staff always welcomes me with arms wide open and takes my mood to a place higher. I always make sure to tip highly for the friendly staff and my sacrifice is appreciated.

Asked me to leave because I had issues with the NFL and their concussion protocol. I confirmed twice with their bartender twice that I should leave. They said yes.

If I could give less than one star I would. The door men don't EVER ask for id, there are constantly under age patrons in their bar and on top of that I stepped on a nail on the stairs of their establishment, was denied medical attention and kicked out by the "owner" under the circumstances that he didn't believe that I could've stepped on a nail on the stairs of his establishment because they are "concrete" which is absolutely asinine. I would never and will never recommend this establishment to ANYONE.

The last time I was here was two years ago. When I walked in and tried to order a drink one of the employees just said to the bartender 'don`t serve him'. At that time I couldn`t help but to notice I was the only person of colour in the place at the time. Not sure why they assumed I was already drunk when I was in no way intoxicated but i still felt I was discriminated against.

Our go to dive bar in Ottawa for cheap drinks, live music, pool, chilling in the back patio. Murals downstairs are often done by local tattoo artists.

Easy to meet people place. Cheap beer and free pool with shooters in attendance and money or beer bets might happen. Be careful as there are hustlers.

Alway's a good time. Great staff, friendly customers. I was there recently and forgot my jacket with valuables, called the next day, they had my jacket and all my valuables were there. 10+ staff and customers!!! If you're looking for a trendy place, this is not for you. If you're looking for a place that will treat you as you treat the staff, this is the place for you. Punk rock, metal and rock is one the menu.Great ontario microbrews and shots. Great little patio out back for those hot summer nights. Unfortunately it's not wheelchair accesible as far as I know.

You won't get a more authentic Ottawa dive bar experience than the Dominion Tavern. It has either two coin operated pool tables or a live band. Awesome spot.

Not a lot of places like the Dom around. I swear the staff are the coolest around and when everywhere else is busy and annoying, the Dom is sick for pool and an absurdly large beer. Cheers!

Get beer here. At this location they have pool tables and a sweet patio in the back. A great place to kick back and knock back some brews with friends. Come thirsty and leave content. The music is punk and rock. Play music in the back part and let people talk up front.

I love this bar. Every time my husband and I go we always come out with new stories and meeting new people. You will meet people of all kinds! It's super dive-y, which is awesome. Everyone is so friendly. The only thing I would say is one of the pool tables is missing an 8 ball so a replacement would be nice! :)

It's the Dom, what more do you need? Cash only which is old school, but prices are reasonable, good selection of beers on tap, and familiar AF... Been coming here for over 25 years and it's one of those establishments that you're glad to see hasn't changed (well, glad the carpet is gone).. live shows are a special intimate treat here, if only sound engineers could figure out how to make this venue sound good...

A good place that promets local talent. Friendly guys welcome you at the door and the ladies behind the bar have super drink suggestions and friendly demenor, but the dude doing the sound needs a tune up on his skill set.

This beloved establishment has hosted countless nights of raucous excellence. Not only a watering hole for local misfits but also a lightning rod for excellent bands. Rock on.

Don’t come here folks. The staff are extremely unprofessional. After not coming here for several months, I’ve walked in, and the owner saw me and yelled out “Can’t serve you today!” Once he did, a few people looked at me. What a way to embarrass me in front of everyone. He could’ve just walked up right to me and said he couldn’t serve me. But instead he chose to yell at me in front of everyone. So I walked up to the bar, and the “owner” came up to me and said it was something I’ve done. So I asked him what happened, and he responded by saying “If you can’t remember, then you got problems!” As if he couldn’t get any more unprofessional than that. Well forget for a moment how unprofessional he is. I’d like to know why he thinks you automatically got problems if you can’t remember something. Can’t remember what you ate for dinner a couple weeks ago? You got problems! Can’t remember your best friends middle name? You got problems! This is the “owners” logic. If you guys want to be served by unprofessional staff who’s willing to embarrass you in front of everyone, then be my guest. By the way, “If you can’t remember, then you got problems!” was a GREAT response. Nice problem solving skills you got there

We were looking for a convienent place to play a game of pool after an awsome dinner at the keg. The sign outside said ac up the A** it was 35 degrees outside. Well there was definatly no ac as it was cooler outside. This place needs some work!! I definatly wont be back i have never finished a game and drank a beer so fast in my life!
