This is a treasure for ottawans. So cozy and intimate . The bar service is great and the prices are very reasonable. The atmosphere was very welcoming and perfect for small shows. Really enjoyed it. One thing to warn newbies: the stairway up to the venue is treacherous.

I just visited Live last night. I really enjoyed the music review as it allowed me to hear many talented local artists. I found the staff to be friendly and they had a great selection of local craft beers. I would definitely go back in the near future to check out some more acts.

Went to see "Aim to Please" and "Nebraska." Bought tickets on line arrived early, but we had to search for chairs and set up ones own table. Service was zero go to the bar and pay as you go. Nebraska encouraged the audience to gather in a mosh pit which then created zero sight lines for those that actually got a table. Aim to Please was the warm up band which was spot on for us with excellent sight lines and great tunes. In summary regardless of the cover charge, and no table service we had a good time, AND it's nice to see live music is still being offered in and around Ottawa.

We went to hear Jessica Wilson and the East Wind here and all 4 of us were so pleased with the show. So nice to hear the audience listening in a bar instead of loud talking. The tall bar chairs I find a bit uncomfortable and I wish they had wifi, but overall the venue was just fine. Great to see they have live music every night of the week.

This establishment does not support free speech and is attempting to prevent a speaker at canadian tire centre from hosting a lecture. I will gladly take my money elsewhere and get as many people to do the same with an establishment that actively opposes freedom of expression and speech.

Really awesome place. The stage is a great set-up and the sound guy is consistently diligent and professional. He truly makes the sound there one of the best of venues in Ottawa. All the staff are kind and helpful, and the layout of the building is cozy yet playful. The drinks are a tad pricey, but they're really about average for nowadays, so I can't blame 'em! Awesome place to be, and well organized too! Love the event calendars they circulate.

Great venue, great staff. It's always wonderful to see live music. The talent on Friday the 22nd was amazing. So much fun.

great place to spend one night having a nice cocktail and listen to some live music or in my case attending the the “Naked Boys Reading”

October 29 Live on Elgin was a blast with the likes of Quote the Raven and Lemon Cash. This is a must attend venue, if you enjoy live music. Service is great and they wear multiple hats to to make sure everyone including musicians get what they need.

I arrived on Tuesday with a friend for open-mic night, first time for both us. We arrived a few minutes before doors opened so we just hung out for a short while, but was greeted very nicely by two ladies, one whom I assumed helped manage the place, and the other was behind the counter bartending. The environment was very welcoming, and everyone was very respectful towards all of the performers that night whether they were fairly new or veterans. Overall it was a very pleasant evening and I would definitely visit again to support all the great local artists who perform here.

I’ve been to LIVE! on Elgin for a few different events and try to make it there at least once a month. It’s a versatile space ideal for concerts and dance parties (like indie alt dance night, Distortion pictured here!) If you’re looking for a fun night out, tasty cocktails and a great space, check them out. They also have a party room which adds a nice little element to the space!

Went to the Kino's here for the for the first time in February. What an awesome venue, with some pretty good beers. The Kinos were also pretty cool, we don't have this kind of community back home.

One of my absolute favourite smaller venues! I've seen quite a few shows here from RedFox, Vissia, We Are Monroe, just to name a few! Sound quality is great, it's a good sized venue, and the temperature inside is fantastic!

Awesome place for live local music! Also they host a magic Monday’s which is super interesting. Located on elgin street, it’s a nice place to grab a beer and catch some great underrated acts!

Played here at a gig. Awesome, helpful and supportive staff made sure everyone had a great time. Will definitely be here again
