I paid $17 for this portion of broccoli and a small cashew cheese dip. This appetizer usually comes with more per serving and even then it feels a little ridiculous considering the cost… but I’m actually shocked. The prices keep getting hiked up and I’m really upset because I enjoy the food, but this was just insane. I’m a frequent customer and I order from here once a week but the rising costs and inconsistencies are really off-putting!

I'm honestly quite gutted that I feel the need to write this review. My husband and I have always considered Pure Kitchen as our favourite restaurant in the city. We've been eating at Pure Kitchen for five years now, and in the past year, once a week, we order takeaway from them because we love their food and want to support them through these times. However, unfortunately, the food quality and attention to detail are not the same. We both order the buffalo cauliflower wrap with a side of fries. One wrap with one modification: +cheddar Here are a few things we've noticed over the past few months that we're sadly disappointed by: - The amount of fries per serving is extremely inconsistent. Some weeks we get a massive serving, other weeks, we get a handful. - The wraps themselves are not wrapped tight enough; when you take the paper off, the wrap begins to fall apart and creates a mess. - The cauliflower has been undercooked and pretty tough. - The wrap with the modification is often not marked, so we often don't know which one has the cheddar cheese addition. We love Pure Kitchen, and we really hope we can come back to the reviews in a bit and amend this review to the five stars the restaurant deserves. We're just a bit disappointed in what we've been receiving recently, and we truly hope this review can help for future orders.

Pure Kitchen Westboro is a really nice location. However, when I went there during Happy Hour it was quite warm inside. Either the air conditioning wasn't turned on or if it was, it was probably 25-28 degrees. We ordered the Strong smoothie which was a nice tropical blend, but I would've preferred the chia seeds blended in as opposed to just sitting on the top. We ordered the Korean cauliflower "wings" which are usually really saucy and quite a large portion. But we found that some cauliflower wings were battered and some were not - meaning some were saucier than others. They were also in big chunks and not as bite sized as I remember. Maybe this was to give the illusion of a lot for the half off price. We also ordered a slice of carrot cake and it was really good! It had a nice balance of sweetness, cinnamon, and finely grated carrots. It also had I believe a blackberry purée which was a nice compliment too. Overall would come back and definitely enjoy some of their food and drinks.

Pure Kitchen is my favorite restaurant in Ottawa! Their generous portions of healthy & tasty plant-based food always hit the spot. My latest obsession is the Fulfilled (vegan eggplant parm sandwich) + you need to get the transformed kale Caesar salad as a side. They have a nice patio during the summer.

Dissapointed. The food was mostly pretty tasteless. The tempeh was hardly cooked. Calilflower wings were extremely over salted. Falafel wrap was mostly all lettuce. We wasted all the food we ordered. Came here while on a visit to Ottawa. Doesn’t compare to vegan restaurants in Toronto.

Having been to the Pure Kitchen on Elgin, I knew exactly what I was doing when I invited my dad to take me to lunch. It is rare for my dad to give high praise to vegan restaurants, but he was quite pleased with our lunch here. I agreed with my dad as the cauliflower wings were exceptional and my Tempeh sandwich was even better. Pure Kitchen makes veganism proud in Ottawa!!

Pure Kitchen has the best plant based delicious food in Ottawa. The flavors are out of this world, excellent selection even for meat eaters they could fall in love with the plant based menu options. Great atmosphere and location with great views from rooftop terrace. August features their happy hour with radical wings for 10$ and wine and beer for 5$ great portions and pouring sizes! Perfect way to spend a summer afternoon and or any time of the year !! Family friendly as well!

Had a soup and it was great, other dishes received great feedback. Fast and polite service. Clean, bright space. The rooftop patio is open during the summer season. No dedicated parking, you can park at MEC across the street.

This restaurant is amazing! As a vegetarian family, we eat here all the time. And throughout the pandemic, it has been our go to takeout spot. Not only is the food fresh and delicious, the customer service is amazing. The rooftop patio is really great, and their restaurant is very clean and bright. I had an issue with an order and the manager went above and beyond to fix the issue. Very professional. As someone who's worked in the restaurant industry, I appreciate a restaurant that values it's clientele.

This place is amazing!!! We tried the BLT (tempeh sandwich), the classic walnut/mushroom burger, and the buffalo cauliflower appetizer. The food was so amazing, the waitresses were so kind and generous that they even gave us extra ranch sauce for the burgers after they saw how much we loved it with the appetizers. The place is so homey and the people are incredibly friendly and the food is to-die-for!! 10/10 we'll be back to eat at this place next time we're in town :)

We had a great first experience at Pure Kitchen Westboro. All of their menu items are either vegan or vegetarian. The items that we ordered were delicious. Customer service was excellent. The only issue is that it is quite expensive. Appetizer, main course and desert for two people, including tip, came out to around $90.

Before trying this place, I truthfully had never opted to go to a vegetarian restaurant on my on accord before. However since moving to Ottawa and acquiring some very gluten intolerant friends I needed to start to think of different options. To make a long story very short, this place is amazing, the food is fresh, the servers are kind, and the location is great. I’ve recommended this place 7 times over since I went and will 10000% be returning. Great experience trying desserts and wraps and noodle bowls, kudos to the chefs they’ve mastered vegetarian well for the current consumer culture. Portions are huge and taste is huge. Love this place , you definitely need to go!

My latest meal from Pure makes me not want to go back. At 25 dollars for a wrap, I was disappointed to see how much smaller the portion has become. My Buffalo wrap was soggy, literally fluids pouring out of it. There was very little fried cauliflower, and what was there was burned on the outside and solid on the inside. Nearly half of the filling was shredded carrot, and the lettuce was a slimy mass that tasted the way it looked. Not impressed. Literally stopped eating it was so disgusting.

We've eaten here a few times for lunch and are always pleased with the diversity and quality of the food. This time we ate on the upstairs terrace for lunch. The restaurant was busy Sunday - a good sign they are doing things right!

Great beer selection. Fun patio to people watch out of. The meal was great, the serving size was big and the sauce was very flavorful. I had the fantastic and enjoyed it.

The service here is amazing! Definitely 5 stars! Everyone was so polite and friendly. Unfortunately I got pretty sick after eating a burger here after we left the restaurant. Tasted a little weird when I was eating it but it wasn't anything to raise alarms about to the staff. Guess I should have said something.

Wanted to grab a healthy bite to eat, so we decided to try Pure Kitchen out for the first time. Although it's a little more on the pricey side, the portions were perfect. The host sat us on the street bar top, which was a great atmosphere. Food was great, service was awesome! Definitely give it a try! (Fantastic Bowl, Warrior Bowl.)

Friend and I enjoyed an unhurried lunch, I with the fried cauliflower wrap & buffalo sauce with mixed-greens salad, and my friend with the falafel & hummus wrap with half salad, half fries. Good wines and craft beers available. Tables are partitioned with wood-framed plastic barriers. Pleasant service.

My daughter and I stopped in for a lovely vegetarian dinner after spending the afternoon shopping in Westboro. It was delicious. We ordered wraps and smoothies. Delish! There are several tasty choices for vegetarians and vegans. Next time, we will have to try their desserts. They look amazing!

Since the first time I tried Pure Kitchen I have been obsessed! Everything about this place is amazing ✨😋 The food, the drinks, the service, the staff, and the products they sell are all flawless. The transformed Kale Cesar Salad, Royale with Cheese Burger, and Radical Cauliflower wings are my favourite dishes, but I must say anything you order will be absolutely scrumptious. I highly recommend giving this amazing business a try, I can confidently say that you can expect to be pleased with the experience every single time. 👍😁

I have a lot of lunch meetings and this place makes them fantastic. Healthy food with unbelievable taste. Everyone needs to try this place out whether you are vegan or not. Highly recommend for people who love a good meal with no negative after shock. Will be back soon

Great place, great ambiance, lovely staff and a complete delightful find. Our girls trip ended in Ottawa with our last lunch on the long weekend with Pure Kitchen. We went back home with our stomachs satiated and our hearts full. It was an amazing experience overall. Totally recommend it to everyone

I’ve been to pure kitchen several times and it does not disappoint. Fresh, healthy and made with love. The crunch wrap supreme June special was absolutely awesome. I would love if they used that ground round in more of there meals. Brave broccoli? Made me do a happy dance. The fries?chip truck quality. Smoothies? Fresh, delicious and not too sweet. I could survive without meat if this restaurant was the only place i was to eat at again. I am blown away with how amazing our meals were. I had a chance to try three different sandwiches and the kale Caesar salad and the vegan poutine. I am absolutely shocked with how good this was. Leanne was amazing with her services and suggestions for our family. We will be back and I owe it to my daughter who is 10 years old who introduced us to this restaurant!

Ordered a belle poutine large to go, the personnel was not very friendly and the poutine was mediocre. The serving for a sharing poutine as advertised is really small, no cheese curds but mozzarella cheese and the fries are really not fresh. For 17$ it's really not worth it.

I've always like the food these guys make. It's tasty, hearty and satisfying. When I crave their burger there's no stopping me. I admit I go for the real cheese but their vegan alternatives are perfect. Even my carnivore friends have been baffled by it. They have the greatest to go boxes, you have to try their "meatball" sandwich. Don't tell you dad and make him one he won't notice that he's eating healthier, but tell his doc and laugh about trolling him ha ha ha ha!!

Not sure what the buzz is about; I have eaten here twice and both times had stomach problems that resulted in a bolt to the bathroom. The food lacked that richness in flavour, the smoothies aren't as yummy as they look but tasted rather watered-down and sour. I also don't like how they appropriate foods from other cultures but selling it at a much higher price than they should be, as well as making modifications to the cultural / ethnic food and being completely ignorant to the appropriation. Not cool. Echoing to another reviewer's comments, there are way better vegan restaurants in Toronto for half the price than here. Since the competition isn't as fierce here, people just get by with mediocrity.

Amazing food. It's always nice to have many different vegan option in a menu. The price is a bit pricy but fair if you consider that not many places have what they offer. The service was excellent and the ambiance is cozy. I would definitely recommend this place even if you just want to try some vegan food. They take a lot of precautions to make it safe while the pandemic. You need your cellphone to look at the menu. Enjoy.

Definitely busy no matter what time on a weekend! I got the Fantastic bowl and it was delicious, along with a local beer I love (Pilsner from Tooth and Nail). It is a trendy spot but not for everyone (i.e. it is a vegetarian menu, so some may want different options). Also expect it to be a bit pricey. For me, it is a nice spot every once in awhile 🙂

Excellent little spot. My friend and I both ordered Fantastic bowl and it truly is fantastic. The Beetroot Latte is also excellent- try it with almond milk. Yum! The place is on the pricey side, but oh-so-worth-it!

Got their Valentine's special which had Tso's cauliflower wings, two mains (our choices were Warrior bowl and a Royale with cheese). Amazing. The food was really good. The portions were giant. It also came with two desserts. The value is unreal. The taste was even better. Try this place!

Mystical bowl and the liberty wrap were excellent but the takeout shepherds pie we brought home tasted like 1/4 cup of salt was added. Way over seasoned. I’d avoid that dish in particular. We have a few other items yet to try.

Nice place.

I've been here numerous times, amd the food is usually good. Today I ordered fake away, and tipped 15% after tax. As we were about to leave, the staff member at the bar loudly complained to her coworker in front of us that we tipped "only" 15%. Very disappointed in the outward disrespect towards us as customers. I will now be going to the Kanata and Elgin locations only where my business is actually appreciated.
