Delicious sushi, very knowledgeable and accommodating of celiac disease. The tempura pictured was for my sister (not celiac), but they had a lot of gluten free options. The staff was super friendly! They made my day :)

Haven't been here in a few years and was happy to sushi the sushi was just as good as it used to be! Great quality. Will be coming back again soon!

Was craving some nice fresh sushi and tried this lovely place, it was very delicious and the fish tasted so buttery and fresh! The interior was really nice and the staff were SO friendly!! You can see the chefs across the counter so you know it’s as fresh as possible! The prices were fair and you can get a half roll instead of the whole thing if you’re looking to try multiple types of rolls. I highly highly recommend this place, please give them a visit if you’re looking for some quality sushi :) We ordered the Philadelphia roll, spicy chilli tuna roll, volcano tuna roll, Ottawa roll, G-dragon roll, salmon cooked fish roll (not as good as the fresh fish), dynamite roll. With a side of spicy mayo and sweet soy sauce. Delicious delicious! Update: We went again and it was just as delicious as the first time!

My husband and I visited the new location of Sushi Fresh. We started with Soba salad as an appetizer which was delicious. The sushi bento box and unagi rice bowl were spectacular! Definitely the best sushi restaurant in town. The staff were super friendly and we had a great experience!

My favourite type of restaurants, small and cozy. They have 5 small tables that seats 10 to 15 guests but those guys are busy with take out as well. The employees were smiling the whole time we're there and they were very positive. The food is very tasty and the place has good vibes. I consider this place if I'm looking for a healthy quick bite while I'm at the Bay ward area. This restaurant is a counter service type so you order from the counter and they serve the food to your table. We'll definitely visit again.

Not a lot of room to sit and they're all 2 seater tables. But the vibe was very fresh and inviting. I wanted to dine in but ended up doing takeout. The staff was very friendly and all their food is very fresh. I got the salmon poke bowl (minimal rice and filled with all the other fresh and delicious ingredients and a healthy serving of salmon) and the salmon sashimi. For the price, the value of the salmon sashimi was great and one of the largest cuts I've seen compared to what they serve in Toronto usually. Very fresh salmon. I ordered their miso soup and had it in store while they prepared the rest of the items. All-over delicious. Service was great too.

Went here for supper yesterday (to the location in the Market) and it was SO GOOD. If I could give more stars, I would. In terms of food, the quality of fish was excellent. Prepared well, fresh, so yummy. But even better was just the atmosphere and the staff. Everyone here was super friendly and clearly they take pride in what they do. Even if the food wasn’t awesome I would still come back for the excellent customer experience. But the food was amazing so it’s a thumbs up all around 😂 Moral of the story- eat here. It’s truly lovely.

We loooove this place!! Amazing sushi, plenty of veggie options and super clean! The staff is very friendly and helpful with the menu. Prices are very reasonable for the quality and the portions. They offer a choice of crab or immitation crab for vegetarians which is amazing. Highly recommended!

We got takeout here and it was delicious! Well presented and great price. The party trays were a great deal and the sashimi especially was excellent!

Prices are reasonable. (Parking is easy . 2 hrs = 7 CA$ ) The place is just across the Byward Market Sqaure. If you are a fan of sushi this place can be a good option. 4 tables and 10 seats are not enough but at 1 pm there were empty seats. Tap water being served before the meal. Miso Soup recommended.Wakame was really fresh . Sushis are all tasty.

I decided to treat myself to Sushi Fresh on a whim. While it's a touch pricier than my usual sushi haunt, in my opinion it was worth it: the fish is fresh and melts like butter, their rice isn't overly vinegared, and whatever brand of wasabi paste they use has BITE! The other stuff. Decor is bright and modern. Service was quick and friendly and the sushi was freshly-made. Portions for the combo I ordered (Sushi Fresh B) was just the right amount of food. The menu features a number of familiar and more exotic rolls. And they do seem to do platters for larger events.

The food was delicious... I am a huge fan of sushi but I found the menu a bit complicated... I think they need an update. U have to order at the front then sit down.. I reccomend they get a paper menu perhaps where ppl check off what they want maybe to make things a bit easier.. Great little spot though I'd go back..

The freshest sushi in Ottawa! The sashimi from this location was so delicious and fresh! There was no weird fishy taste or smell you get from old sushi. Definitely worth the price!

The best sushi in Ottawa! One of the freshest we’ve had, and we’ve had a lot of sushi! The fish was definitely fresh, we were craving nigiri and sashimi and this place satisfied our cravings perfectly. The udon was also delicious, the broth was clean, hot and the udon toppings with the chewy noodles were a perfect pair. I really love Ama-Ebi so of course I had to order it at this place and it did not disappoint. This is honestly one of the best sushi places I’ve had. The staff were wonderful, super friendly and welcoming. They were always checking on us to make sure we had everything we need. The only thing is the tables are small so its hard to fit a lot, which made it a little uncomfortable to dine in but it isn’t a big deal. Overall, the food is still amazing. A MUST TRY! 10/10!

Friendly service and incredibly fresh and delicious sushi. The staff were helpful when my friend and I were deciding which tray to get based on how hungry we were and what variety of rolls we wanted. The place is small and cozy, only seating about 10 people, but it doesn't feel crammed or crowded. Cannot recommend this place enough! (We got too excited to eat, hence the missing sushi in the photo).

The sushi was definitely fresh and the sushi (rice and fish on top) was very thick and colourful. I really enjoyed the customer service and the food quality. The dining tables are quite small, and not great for larger groups than 5 I’d say. I would say they added some spicy chilli on the inside of the spicy salmon which I found interesting as I’ve never had that before. I love the spice that it brings but I enjoy more spicy mayo in my spicy salmon rolls. Also prices are a bit more than other places but for the quality it’s quite reasonable. Overall a good experience and would come again, probably just for sashimi and sushi 🍣.

Amazing! Everything about it is amazing! Clean, full of light, welcoming place with minimalistic interior. Nice but unintrusive staff. Diverse menu. Elegantly presented dishes made out of high quality ingredients. Excellent taste of seafood highlighted with the touch of traditional relishes. Naturally, the place is popular so can be packed.

This is by far the best sushi I have ever had. The portions are incredible and the freshness is second to none. The have a gluten free menu and take great care in trying their best to ensure you have no issues with your food. They change out their utensils, matt and clean the area before they prepare your food. Very impressive as most places don’t do that. I will definitely go back.

I have always loved Sushi Fresh. The fish is very fresh, the rice is always perfectly seasoned, and the service is quick. The staff are incredibly friendly and polite. The only reason I am not giving them 5 stars is that they did not have servings of shrimp and veggie tempura anymore. It was one of the main reasons why my wife and I ate there. It seems to have changed when they moved. It would be great if they had any way to add it back to their menu.

My search for quality sushi in Ottawa is finally over! Very friendly staff that make affordable and fresh sushi! I’ll definitely be back for more!

My favorite shrimp tempera spot in town. Super fresh and we’ll-made!! I would also recommend Avo-Mountain roll (veggie) and Lapo-Tila Roll. They are my favorite! Staff here are super friendly! Will come back many more times!

Walked in by accident. Did not regret it. The sushi was made fresh and even though it says take out only, you can dine in without using a server. We ordered the dynamite roll, Philadelphia, Tuna and Green Dragon roll. All tasted good, I especially loved their dynamite roll compared to other spots it was really fresh and crispy. Would definitely go back again.
