Great restaurant located within the Marriot hotel. I usually go here for their daily happy hours between 2 and 6pm where there is a selection of appetizers and drinks, ALL for only 7$. The service has always been great and the standard menu is also diverse and fairly affordable. Our waiter, Bruno, was wonderful! Worth a visit if you're in the area!

I was there with my family on September 2nd. We all had the breakfast buffet which included coffee and juice. The restaurant is lovely and everyone was following safe COVID protocols. The price was also very reasonable for either the buffet or menu option. The staff were all really kind and friendly but the star of the show was our server MONIKA!! From the moment we were guided to our table she gave the warmest greeting I have ever received in a restaurant. She was also wonderful with my two children. Her warmth and hospitality were unlike anything I have ever experienced. Honestly, if you happen to be near Parliament Hill in search of food and you happen to be having a rough day, stop by and ask for Monika to be your server. She will make your day!! Was staying at hotel and had dinner there 2 times. Also had the breakfast buffet several times. It all tasted excellent. The staff was also great every day which made the experience even better.

Not the same since the pandemic. The menu is really small and the food is just ok. The breakfast buffet is a shadow of it's former self. I used to stay here because of the restaurant. Not anymore.

Attended an office party. The food was quite good, and no problem getting my over-seasoned fries replaced with "naked" ones. Decided to order a drink, and sent it back after a single sip. Absolutely undrinkable. Was asked if I wanted to replace it with another beverage. I declined and drank water. Bill comes... my drink is on it! I questioned it, "Sorry ma'am. You still pay." Asked had I replaced the undrinkable one with something else... you guessed it, I would have been billed for both!!!! I told the server that I found this absolutely deplorable. It was my first visit. It will be my last.

The Soun Kitchen and Bar is downstairs the Ottawa Marriott Hotel. I went to the bar, didn't get a chance to try the the restaurant. The bartended was very friendly and courteous and the drinks were delicious.

Lovely meal..pasta was very good and serving size was good. Loved the drink presentations. Now desert was banana cheesecake spring rolls with ice cream...yummy yummy yummy!!

Wow - had a wonderful meal here. Ate outside and it was perfect. Service very attentive. Highlight was the salmon - very creative. The sauce was so good. Overall one of my best meals for 2023!

Food was great, tasted good, drinks are fabulous. We were a big group but waiter seemed a bit overwhelmed. Took long to get our food, we were not asked for coffee or dessert. Mac N cheese was dry and had like 5 cheese curd on top, no panko in it. My lemon chicken was good and the baked coleslaw was really delicious.

Good service, they have a full mojito menu. The "a la cart" salads are amazing 😍. I'll update this review with photos on my next weekly visit.

I’ve had horrible experiences at this restaurant. Being ignored and slow or nonexistent service. I stood at the bar 20 minutes tonight and left after being completely ignored. The least they could do is have the decency to say sorry for the wait or that someone will be with me in X amount of time. A little human decency would go a long way.

The soup was very good but the burger was very unappealing and I didn’t want to finish it. A 20 dollar burger and some fries should be at least better than fast food from a&w. The service was fine.

Avoid at all costs. I experienced nothing but cold unwelcoming service from the moment I arrived. I.e. The server refused to bring ice after buying a bottle of Prosecco because they were "out of ice". After some back & forth, we finally speak to a manager that says they definitely have ice making an excuse for the server’s attitude by saying it’s a "busy night" . For ice. At the Marriott. I can’t imagine coming back

Cold food. Cold service. Dining here was one of the WORST experiences I ever had and the night manager of the front desk was so rude and abrasive. I would never patronize this business again in the future.

Overall a good restaurant. Not an authentic Tartare though.

Fantastic dinner at Spin with friends. Leah, our hostess, was super friendly and helped us with suggestions for cocktails. The food was fantastic!! 2 of us had chicken with an exquisite sauce, mushrooms, smashed potatoes and little onions. A friend had the French onion soup and a salad. My partner had the Artic char. We ordered the steak tartar for an appy. It was delicious! We will return. The Thornes 👍😊

Marriott has outdone themselves with this restaurant it’s amazing and get the One in a melon drink you won’t be sorry 😘

Probably the best hotel breakfast I've ever had. Fresh made omelette and an outstanding server in Aaron. If you go for breakfast ask for him. Great service and lots of freindly help for us lost tourists!

I stayed for two nights at the hotel with my teenage daughter. We had dinner both nights at Spin, returned the second night due to the outstanding service. I believe the gentleman’s name is Frederick and he made our evenings. He was engaging, made us feel welcome and comfortable. Good food and Outstanding Service.

Amazing meal... one doesn't except such tasty dishes in a hotel restaurant but we were blown away... excellent service as well... great way to bring in the new year...

Had the steak frites. Perfectly cooked and perfectly delivered. Simon is wonderful, classy, distinguished and very attentive.

The breakfast buffet was so worth it! The food tasted amazing and you can have omelettes / eggs Benedict to order! Our server Aaron took great care of us & we had a great overall experience 😊 thank you!

We enjoyed dinners at Spin while staying at Ottawa Marriott. The food was tasty (I liked the steak, salmon, and the sandwiches too) and reasonably priced. Lots of drink options as well. Service staff were very friendly. A delight to eat in!

The waiter was rude and impatient. The drinks are nothing but full of ice cubes. The food is terrible. The French fries are the frozen ones and were not fully cooked, still very cold.

Our server was lovely. That's where the good part ends. The rest was awful. My pasta was $24, clearly made with a jarred sauce (nobody makes a homemade tomato sauce that thin, bitter, and that hint of sugar to cover up the lacklustre quality ingredients) and a chicken breast so limp as to have almost no flavour, and was clearly water-injected. Coupled with charging $8 per 500ml bottle of sparkling water, and this reeks of "you're stuck here, what else are you gonna do?" kind of experience. Get over to Byford. Or McDonald's. Or anything else. Overpriced, underwhelming, and you can do so much better.

Wonderful restaurant inside the Marriott. Food was great and staff were very helpful, suggested dessert and it was perfect. Don't have to walk elsewhere, pause and enjoy what is right there.

I had the pork and egg noodle dinner, and it was absolutely delicious. Seasoned just right and actually interesting to look at as well. Although the restaurant was really crowded I never felt like I was ignored, although I was on my own. The waiter popped out at appropriate intervals ask me for things if I needed them, got me what I wanted and then left me alone as I wanted. Quite a good experience. Highly recommended. I had their dinner steak there a few weeks ago as well, and it was absolutely delicious. You pay for what you get, but what you get is good.

Very much recommended! Food was very good and fresh! The staff really great. Would come back again and again which is what we did during our 3 night stay at the Marriott. Lunch and dinner!

I had the Chicken Souvlaki with french fries and it was all right. I think the reason why I didn't love it was the Taziki's lacked flavor and the onions were soaked in a sweet brine. This along with the cherry tomatoes made every bite have a bit of a sweet. I'm very happy I got the fries because they were just the type of fries I like however they needed more seasoning and there were no french fries that were full size. Perhaps I just received the end of the Fry Basket.

The burger was really good. The onion rings were nothing special and next time I won't pay the extra 2 bucks and just get the regular fries as a side. A little pricey the average dish for lunch was 17-20 bucks but it was quick and we were a big group, and very nice looking restaurant.

Delicious dinner, excellent service. I had a window table not far from the bar. I suggest dining in the other room, because the crowd at the bar was rather loud and rambunctious (it was only 5pm).

Very happy to see you guys reopen. Great service as always. Was disappointed that the cocktails are not available; my friends and I usually go for the Brambles!
