We come here for anniversaries, birthdays, and the odd special occasion, and that isn't going to change anytime soon. Can't recommend anything as it's all good, but you can't leave without trying the Billy Minor pie.

Pricey as all hell as you’d expect, me and girlfriend only come here once a year for the anniversary but when we go we splurge hard. We did go about a month ago but I wait to leave reviews until I have a few to drop at once. These people cannot go wrong they have amazing kitchen staff amazing front of house staff you feel like you own the place when you walk in they’re so nice to you. I my self am a chef and very direct but couldn’t not find one issue and we ordered 6 plates total both got different appetizers both got different entrees both got different desserts all came out perfect and I look for the mistakes. Truly amazing.

Was our first time ever to The Keg and I must say it was amazing!! We were treated for Christmas and was just a great atmosphere. You're greeted right away, they check for vaccination code and then seated promptly (make a reservation). The server, Eden, was really lovely, and he kept up with the banter at the table. Food was cooked to perfection and the wine was paired beautifully. I am super impressed with the appetisers too and how much you get. We have decided it will now be our date night location!!

Even though this is the middle of the pandemic, the Keg on Hunt Club is going above and beyond and has a process in place with both customer and employees in mind for safety. The food was well packaged in tins and reflective paper bags to retain heat, the food was still hot after a 20 minute drive and absolutely delicious. It is beyond what I expected of a sit down establishment now reduced to take out. While I don't agree with the gov't limiting businesses that have the square footage that would maintain public safety during wave 2, I took this picture in expectations to write this review in commendation and recognition of this team coming through.

If there were more than 5 stars I would have given it. We came in with our 8 months old baby for our anniversary and not sure how the day would go. The staff was absolutely wonderful. Extremely accommodating with the baby. The food was absolutely delightful. Even my son loved everything we had. He tried so many different things and loved everything! This branch is definitely our go to branch from now on. They even gave us a complementary dessert to celebrate! Can't thank them enough for giving us a wonderful celebration 😍

I wish I could give more stars. Had a night out with my wife, and we came in and were served by Emma. Absolutely excellent service by Emma. My wife had the blackened chicken and I had the classic prime rib, and both were excellent. My wife also loved the bacon wrapped scallops and the side plate of Brussels sprouts she ordered. I had a taste and they were excellent. We finished things off with a Billy Miner coffee. Really had a great experience, contrary to another restaurant (see my review) further down hunt club. I will most definitely return in future… never had a bad experience to date at his keg, or any other keg for that matter. Thank you Emma for the great service,

We were there for a managers New Years party. First time to go in that location, 5:45 pm I walk in, nice little crowd inside the restaurant. We were served by Emma. I have ordered sirloin and lobster, first bite with the steak, it was tough and chewy. I called the server, and told about the meat, she was trying to explained to me about the cut of the beef that I had, I listen, I smiled at her, I did not re act, ( I am a chef and owned fine dinging restaurants) she asked me if I was happy, I said no. She offered to changed the meat, I said only if she offered to do that. Literally less than 5 minutes, my plate was changed completely to a new one, I was surprised. The dish was excellent, the lobster just perfectly done, moisture and tasty. The fillet mignon ( replacement) was melt in my mouth, garlic mashed was tasty. Over all I am a happy customers, that’s why I am giving them a fat 5*****’s! I will be back.

My husband and I had reservations for 4:30. We arrived 10 minutes early. There was no waiting. The doors opened promptly at 4:30. Our waiter Nathan, was extremely professional, polite and efficient. I could not have asked for a more pleasant server/host. The food was fabulous! From steaks to cheesecake, we were both completely satisfied!

Delicious and consistent steakhouse with excellent service. You should expect to pay well north of 100 dollars for two people, however the food is superior. Highly recommended.

Bryan was awesome! 👌 Visited to have a spontaneous date night, and came in close to 9pm, seated promptly, and served immediately. To my surprise, they still had prime rib at this hour, was super happy about that! Bryan was our server, he checked in on us all the time (but not too many times, always just at the right time, and only when he needed to.) Food was amazing, just wish they hadn’t run out of the Milner pie, this is unheard of! Will definitely return, this has to be my favourite visit to The Keg out of all the locations I’ve visited.

Nice venue, good service, friendly staff. But for the second time in a row, I ordered a $58 rib steak medium rare and was disappointed. The first time it came blue and I just had to send it back. You pay for the experience so it sucked that I didn’t eat with the everyone else. Last night, my steak came gray. I just ate the steak for the sake of not disrupting the flow. That was the last time I’ll pay that kind of money for a steak at ‘The Keg’ - what is supposed to be a ‘steakhouse’. If you aren’t too fussy about your steak and have money to burn, go for it. Otherwise, find another restaurant or better yet, buy a nice cut and prepare it yourself for a fraction of the cost. It’s not hard!

Ordered steak and lobster and although the steak was cooked just right, the lobster tail was way too salty to eat. The mojito and the salad were average.

Service was impeccable. My spouse received her steak well done when she had asked for medium. The manager was quick to apologize and took off two appetizers from the bill. The waitress was also kind and as a result we left a 20% tip on a decent-sized bill. While the Keg hasn’t always been my favourite place in terms of quality of food for the price, one thing you can count on is their customer service being top-notch. We ended up having great food and drinks, the ambiance was lovely, COVID-19 protocols seem to be taken very seriously, and all around this location seems to be the best one in Ottawa by a mile. Thanks for a nice night out!

The Keg never disappoints. Great server, great atmosphere, great everything!

This location of The Keg Steakhouse + Bar is situated close to the airport. The decorations are very elegant. The food tastes absolutely amazingly. The selection of drinks offers something for every taste. Staff is friendly and helpful. Sadly, they don't have the Alaskan King Crab right now which is the restaurant's best item. There was some confusion with my order when I visited but this was quickly fixed in a convenient manner.

Went to the keg with my boyfriend for the first time as he received a gift card. The staff was very friendly and helpful and it’s was a nice place, no complaints there. However we we’re actually shocked that the Keg has such good reviews. The food was not good at all. We ordered a stake, lobster and vegetable and gnocchi on the side and I’m not exaggerating when I say there wasn’t a drop of seasoning on the veggies and gnocchi. It was actually shocking how bad it was and the mushrooms honestly tasted like wet socks. I couldn’t finish my plate. The stake and lobster were also meh. The food overall was the most blend food I’ve ever had at a restaurant. Their appetizers on the other hand were good.

Good experience Cons: 1- Relatively expensive 2- Meal size is below expectations 3- Dim spotlight makes going through the menu a bit challenging Pros: 1- One of, if not, the best steak ever 2- Table service is excellent 3- Relatively fast service 4- Ambience and cleanliness are great Other: It is circumstantial, at the beginning the phone person at time of reservation said we have only tables for 4 people, then when insisted, she said OK I will squeeze 3 people on the bench side of the table. It is weird that a restaurant has only 4-person-tables. Also, she asked for a photo ID for my children with the vaccination proof, while children have no photo IDs, even the health card does not have picture on it and that is the usual. Eventually I had to take the passports with me for photo identification of my children. Other restaurants are asking the ID only for adults. Overall, the experience was excellent and I recommend it at least once.

In short the Keg was delicious, steak was well seasoned and pretty much exactly what you want in a great steak. Definitely pricy but great for special occasions! While service was pretty great we had one issue that rubbed me the wrong way. 2 of our steaks were overcooked and they did take them back and apologized, but we didn't get a discount or apps taken off. Normally this wouldn't be a problem but the table across from us had the same issue and removed their apps from the bill. For context we were an Asian family dining and the other table was white, we felt that our service was undermined due to that fact. Please do better.

This is a very quaint country store stocked with all essentials from food and munchies, beer and liquor along fishing hunting gear as well as guns and ammo.

We took take out due to only option due to covid. We found it just as good as if we were eating in the restaurant. My meat was cooked perfectly and wife fish and lobster were outstanding. Strongly recommended during these tough times.

My partner and I had a lovely time here recently. We made a reservation a week prior, so when we arrived, we were seated within a few minutes. Our waiter, Phil, was attentive and very good at spacing out our food. He gave us good time in between our drinks, apps, shareables, entrees, and dessert. The food was delicious and hot when it came out. Everything was perfect EXCEPT THE ORANGE JUICE. The orange juice sucked! We’d be happy to visit again for a special occasion.

Right off the bat, the service here is outstanding. If you’ve ever been to one of The Keg locations, you know that they’re very consistent across the country, including the layout as well as the menu. The Keg is a great choice for a nice steak dinner with wine, especially if you’re not looking to spend a crazy amount. There are many places where the steak is higher quality, but for the prices at the Keg, you can’t really find many comparable restaurants. This location isn’t too busy and there are tons of seating options, so it’s a safe bet for most days.

For how busy it was this location worked well as a team and handled crowds of people extremely well. Asked for a specific table and they delivered as well as the server ... I think her name was Samatha. Amazing food and people, great job Keg Huntclub!

It is commendable to see that the restaurant has fully staffed during these challenging times of food and beverage staffing shortages. The service provided by Christine, our professional and affable waitress, was impeccable. The food was delectable, with a variety of plates ordered for both adults and children, all of which were scrumptious. Christine suggested the whiskey peppercorn sauce for the steak, which indeed enhanced the flavor of the already delicious steaks. While the 12oz sirloin steak was filling, my preference for medium-well was not met, and it was served well-done. Nonetheless, due to hunger, I did not request a replacement, which was an unexpected experience from a steak-specialized restaurant. Overall, The Keg Steakhouse offers a refined dining experience that is a must-try. It is advisable to make reservations, especially on weekends.

Last night my husband and I went for dinner and the food is always delicious here. Everything from the apps to the dessert, you can't go wrong if you are looking for a consistently good meal. Our waiter Phil was fantastic, he went out of his way to make sure we had a great time. We had some good, funny conversations and it was refreshing. Highly recommend this location.

It was an awesome night. We were treated well and we gave them a little laugh when two of our guests switch spots LOL there was confusion but it was nice they smiled.

I had the pleasure of dining at this restaurant yesterday, and it was a mixed experience. The server was truly exceptional, providing us with helpful and pleasant service throughout our meal. However, our reservation was delayed by 30 minutes, likely due to the restaurant's busy atmosphere. Despite the initial hiccup, the food was satisfying and delicious. While there were some minor issues, the excellent service and tasty food ultimately made for an enjoyable dining

The Keg Classics meal is the best deal. The mixed green salad with the balsamic vinaigrette is amazing. The hot bread and whipped butter is a great addition to the meal. The steak was cooked perfectly to medium. Veggies along with the mushrooms are Al Dante which was great. Price is a little expensive ($59 for a 12oz New YORK striploin) but was a great night out.

Although my waiter was terrible due to his infrequent stops at my table, and emotionless demeanour, the food was cooked perfectly, and tasted delicious! Staff at the front even seemed more concerned with chatting amongst each other instead of greeting new guests. The dinning room setup was difficult to walk because of how close the tables were to each other. Of all the kegs I’ve been to over the years, this location lacked with customer service, but the food was thankfully “The Keg” worthy! (Aside from burnt bacon on the filet mignon)

The restaurant was very beautiful and atmosphere was good. The wait time was long for a seat but we were able to sit at the bar. We ended up staying there because we enjoyed the table. The food was good and cooked well. They took in my fiance's gluten intolerance and prepared his fries separately in the oven.

Visit this location with my wife for her birthday. Our server Travis was absolutely amazing. He was on it all night. We never had to wait for anything, he was knowledgeable, professional and funny. The food and wine were amazing and the atmosphere very comfortable. This is a regular place for our nights out.

I got the peppercorn sirloin and it was as good as I expected.

Went her fordinner last night. We waited half an hour to get in. During this time there was 4girls and the manager standing around. During our meal we used the washroom which was disgusting. The stall were dirty and had urine on theseats. We were not the only ones who noticed this other people also weremaking comments. No excuse for this they should should have been checking instead of standing around talking.

First visit in 2020.As usual excellent baseball steak, the filet and lobster tail was succulent. Sides were tasty. No room for dessert. Hopefully back in February.

Well, where to start. First of all, I'm grateful that they open till 9:00 pm on a Sunday night to allow me dine in. However, the prime rib is fully loaded of salt. I guess I should have mentioned less salt. Asparagus is less cooked. Prime rib itself has a weird texture and appearance, maybe because it is not that fresh anymore. It is way worse than Baton Rouge. Again, if Baton Rough is open till 9:00 pm, I wouldn't even come here. I guess I should not be too picky during this pandemic situation...

Lovely place, we asked the table close to the fireplace and they moved us closer right away. Very carrying and friendly waitress. Got a desert on the house for my birthday. Delicious steak. Recommend!

Had dinner with a group of 9 on a Monday night to celebrate a friends birthday. Tables were very well spaced. Gave you a bit more privacy with your group for dinner which was nice. Food was tasty. Everyone enjoyed what they ordered. The bread provided for dinner was nice and fresh; we asked for their 3 cheese butter and I must say it’s a must from now on! Service was alright. Our waitress was nice and friendly. Some items for our order came late and some forgotten so we needed to remind them a few times about missing items. I also am aware we were a big group, but I don’t recall getting quality checked on on our end of the table (ie. is everything tasting ok? Was the steak cooked to your liking?)

We love this place. Waaay better than Baton Rouge!!! Free unlimited hot bread . Kids are often given veggie plate to keep occupied. Pricing is somewhat expensive but worth it for the service and quality of food

Ottawa is under Corona lock down. We really wanted to enjoy inhouse dining, but no choice. I was a bit skeptical about online ordering and what I might get. But guess what, everything what I ordered was ready for pickup on time, friendly pickup service and best quality food. The pepper corn steak was peppery and spicy with the right sauce, shrimp was very good with its own tartar sauce. The scallops could have been done a bit more, bit on the chewy side. My wife loved the chicken strips, salad and garlic bread. The garlic bread was a bit high on salt. We both shared the garlic mashed potato. The desert was the best - Cheese cake with raspberry sauce - Unbelievable - tasty, melting in the mouth. Well done Keg Online ordering was easy and error free. But I couldn't add my credit card details or tips. The Keg team does deserve a tip. Will make it up in future when Corona pandemic is over. Thanks a lot

Our server was Jake. Excellent service. Friendly, attentive, helpful. We had the mushroom app, baked brie, and steak and crab / steak and shrimp. My steak did not come out to my liking and they were very quick to remedy the situation and even offered us a free dessert which I felt was not necessary, but was nice nonetheless. I know everyone always gets the twice baked potato or potato mash but honestly the season veg were exceptional. Big chunks of peppers, zucchini, etc. I always find the staff at The Keg to be top notch, they must have a good training program. I have no complaints.

Great service! Hailey was an amazing server and she accomodated us with all our needs. The ambience is very rustic and romantic (perfect for Valentines). What I prefer though is a bit more lighting cause its hard to take a picture inside. The food is fantastic! I would always come back to this place for special occasions and celebrations

Excellent customer service by all staff... especially by our waiter Nathan! Pleasant and safe patio experience aside from the ongoing traffic on Hunt Club. Lots of space for our baby’s stroller. Disappointing cuisine. “Medium well” filet mignon was very dry/overly cooked. Soft drink had a very strange taste.

Ordered a steak, got a horrible portion. Almost no fries and got no bread. I would expect much better considering I am paying twice the amount than at any other restaurant

Greeted by friendly staff when we arrived. Our server was so polite. Very friendly, helpful and accommodating. Overall, just a really nice person. (Laura) I think her name was. The food was good. Steak was done to perfection. The carrots however, were quite raw. I'm not sure if that's how they were suppose to be served but I prefer my veggies cooked when having them with a meal. Other than that, it was so yummy! Steak and crab has always been my fav! Never have had a complaint about the steaks at the Keg! They're also very vigilant about keeping the place sanitized and safe during covid.Very impressive. We were there celebrating our 39th wedding anniversary.
