The Rockeries are a hidden secret for wedding photographs. If your wedding is taking place in downtown Ottawa and you have transportation and if you want a park to yourselves then this is one of your best options. Large green spaces for groups, long pathways, a fountain with cherubs and free parking on the street you will want to consider this location.

If you want to see tulips away from the crowds...check out this park. I find it best to park on acacia just off sussex/aviation parkway. While you are up there, drive around the prestigious rockcliffe neighbourhood. Enjoy the nearby hiking trails that connect to McKay lake. While in the rockeries, you'll find ruins, a dog park, and private sporting clubs.

Nice quiet area to reflect on life. Peaceful and quiet. Lots of varieties of trees and plants. People walk their dogs here. There is some ruins here to look at and admire from an old library in the early 1900s.

Beautiful hidden gem containing bits of Ottawa history. Bicycle there via the river parkway on a sunny day for a really charming outing.
