Even for one day's visit, the hotel was exceptional. Their staff who attended during breakfast were always present, replenishing the foods as soon as it had emptied. They kept the kitchen extremely clean, there were workers on site also to keep the hotel clean and tidy. And the front desk as well greeted us with professionalism.

I stayed in this hotel on Sept 23 (my wedding day) to prepare for the wedding with my best man and then stay the night with my wife before we headed home the following day. It was a nice hotel, nice room, clean and modern. Unfortunately, the shower wouldn't turn on and we didn't notice this until we started to get ready. We called the front desk and they sent maids to look first , followed by the maintenance man and his sidekick. After looking at it for 20 mins they decided they couldn't fix it and suggested we transfer to another room. Since we had to leave in 15 mins for the venue, this wasn't an option at the time and we left. When my wife and I returned that night, we found it still wasn't fixed and all their tools were laying on top of the toilet. We mentioned the whole incident at the front desk during checkout hoping for a complimentary night or discount or at the very least an apology. We got nothing...basically a "too bad" attitude and paid full price. I really feel like they could have worked a little harder to make it right. They didn't. I also emailed the Head Office for Holiday Inn and they didn't respond either. I'd like to give this place a higher rating but taking a "sink bath" on your wedding day tends to leave you bitter. I'll stay at the hotel beside it next time!

Nothing can be any better than this. Friendly staff, great hospitality, clean and cozy rooms, hygienic and healthy food, beautiful ambience, gym, pool, wifi,...... the breakfast was surprisingly really good and complete. The room was beyond our expectations. The staff was very friendly and understanding. Upto the mark 100%. I would recommend this hotel to everyone! Honestly, pretty much everything was perfect!

The rooms are spacious, beds are comfortable with plenty of pillows (2 soft , 2 hard per bed) and the rooms have only tile near the bathrooms ensuring no musty smell and a clean look. The breakfast was hearty and delicious- try the fresh pancakes with real maple syrup and enjoy the thick cut bacon and hot frosted cinnamon buns. The scrambled eggs were very average. The indoor pool is small and seems like it is there just to list it on the amenities.lobby area is large and comfortable to work on or watch sports. Overall a very good experience.

There is a lot I need to say about what amazing experience I had for my 2 night stay here but I will just say I loved the pancake maker and how the breakfast was amazing. The room was very clean and very comfortable to stay in. I recommend this hotel more than any other in Ottawa next to the airport. Will be waiting to come back again! ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ‘

Place is closed for renovations or something. Showed up at 12:30am only to be told they were closed and my reservation was now somewhere else across the parking lot. No one bothered to let me know ahead of time or try and contact me. Not impressed Holiday Inn. Other hotel booked us in room with queen beds instead of king.

Holiday Inn Express at Ottawa Airport This place was a nice stopover and quiets stay. Itโ€™s roughly $8 cab ride from the airport. Check in was pretty smooth which was nice. They offer a breakfast buffet in the morning and it was adequately stocked and the seating area was clean. The business centre was pretty standard and gym and pool were average. It is missing the hot tub so if youโ€™re booking hoping to get into one they donโ€™t have one. Now the negative stuff: again no hot tub, the snacks in the lobby werenโ€™t stocked and left no options for snacks, the sliding room lock I had was damaged, the blackout blinds in my room didnโ€™t black anything out l, the street noise was more prevalent than the airport noises, the handicapped parking area and walkways were covered with ice and werenโ€™t cleared or appeared to have any attempts to put down de-over. Oh and for the safety conscious; both elevators had obvious wear and tear and also both elevators were displaying expired maintenance Provincial certificates that were more that 3 months expired.

Great rooms, however, if you are planning on staying on the 4th floor across from the house cleaning room be aware that the staff will slam the door open and shut at all hours through out the night keeping you up. Also happened to stay at this fine establishment during the night of a shooting in the parking lot. Truly a stay from hell, would not recommend to anyone you care about.

Beautiful building with just a couple of concerns. One was the small parking spaces for vehicles, even when a small vehicle like ours. We could not even get out of vehicle after parking. There was a one ton vehicle that took up 4 parking spaces The faucet in the shower should be at the other end of shower . It would make it easier to reach in a safe manner if it was. The way you have it nside the shower You have to step inside to turn on. Would be safer to adjust water temperature before getting in.

I stay at this hotel whenever I fly out of Ottawa. The location is excellent. Plus, there are lots of restaurants around and is only a short shuttle drive to the airport, which they provide. The rooms are always clean. The staff has always been very polite as well.

Pretty typical of Holiday Inns. It was clean, kept tidy, fairly quiet, and the parking was decent. The included breakfast was ok, wouldn't say it was great but it was free. I wasn't overwhelmed with my stay but I can't say anything bothered me. It's on the outskirts of town near the airport so getting anywhere in the city requires a 20 minute drive or so.

Needed to find a room (last minute) after our flight got canceled. Excellent service, rate and the room was spotless. Continental breakfast options were good. Nice selection.

I had the unfortunate opportunity to stay at a hotel that left me utterly disappointed and frustrated. The level of rudeness exhibited by the staff and the overall quality of service provided were far below expectations, making my stay an unpleasant one. From the moment I arrived at the hotel, it was evident that the staff lacked basic courtesy and professionalism. The receptionist seemed disinterested and barely acknowledged my presence. Instead of offering a warm welcome, they were dismissive and cold, leaving me feeling unwelcome right from the start. A day before our visit, we reserved three rooms. When we got to the hotel, the clerk said they had calculated her email incorrectly and the price had gone up today. She demanded payment for the additional appointment as a result, despite the fact that we had already paid for our entire vacation, simply because their price had gone up. Whenever I had a question or needed assistance, the staff members responded with a condescending attitude, as if I was bothering them. Simple requests for information were met with sighs, eye rolls, and curt replies that left me feeling belittled. To add insult to injury, when I approached the management to express my concerns, they showed a complete lack of empathy and failed to offer any meaningful resolution. It was disheartening to see how little they cared about their guests' experiences and satisfaction. When choosing a hotel, one expects a certain level of service and professionalism. Unfortunately, this particular hotel failed miserably in meeting those expectations. The rude staff, lack of customer care, and overall poor service made my stay an unpleasant and regrettable experience. I would strongly advise against choosing this hotel, as there are undoubtedly better options available that prioritize customer satisfaction and provide a more welcoming atmosphere.

The staff at the Holiday Inn Ottawa Airport were outstanding. We were in town for a soccer tournament and breakfast was scheduled to open at 7AM (normal Saturday hours) but after realizing that our boys had an early game, they opened the breakfast at 6 AM to accommodate. That is customer service exemplified. Hotel is modern, very clean and in a great location.

I've stayed at numerous Holiday Inn Express's over the years. This one was perfectly located, rooms/hotel has been updated, but, the walls are still a little thin. You hear all the doors slam shut, people talking in the rooms next to you and the staff in the hall. I didn't notice too much as I am a deep sleeper, but the better half did. Hotel has a nice pool for the kids (okay and adults) to enjoy. Also had a nice little gym to burn off those calories from eating out. The disappointing part was the breakfast. No holiday inn express has a Michelin star restaurant in them, but this one was well below the mark. Dry cinnamon buns (cutting them into 4 to save $$ does not help), rock hard scrambled eggs, & lackluster potatoes. The pancakes however were good, so was the toast/beagles, hot coffee/tea, juice and cereals. Again, I am basing this on the numerous other HI Express hotels I have stayed in.

This is a great hotel as far as the rooms and breakfast which is free. There is a fantastic Lone Star restaurant next door and it's very easy access to the sports center airport and downtown. The parking is great and there is lots of it. The only downfall was staying a couple days and no cleaning service or fresh towels or coffee in the rooms which was the only downer.

The breakfast was surprisingly really good and complete and the room was beyond our expectations. I would recommend this hotel to everyone! The bed was so comfortable it was even better than my own and the bedding was so soft it felt like I was sleeping on a cloud. Honestly, pretty much everything was perfect!
