The family and I love trying Churros wherever we go and this place has the best in Ottawa. Their dulce de leche dipping sauce was great too! The best churros are crispy on the outside and soft, almost chewy, on the inside! Well done La Catrina!

The best churros ever!!! Stuffed with dulce de leche.. you gotta try them. Coffee was ok but totally worth to just spend some time and look at the decor. Loved the wall!

Wow! I stumbled upon this cafe accidentally a couple days ago and now I'm obsessed. Such a cute comfortable environment with great food and drinks. The churros are incredibly fresh and warm - best I've ever had,I also had the Horchata which I have never tasted before and was delicious. The churro fillings I had were condensed milk and dulce de leche. Both great. I found the condensed milk was a bit thin for a filling and I didn't taste it as much as I did the dulce de leche. The cafe is very clean, and ambiance is great, and service is fast and the workers are extremely friendly. The cafe has tables and also a couple couches. The bathroom was also very clean and nice. There is really no other place like this in Ottawa, it's very unique and I will definitely be coming back!

I was so happy to see that they offer vegan churros with 2 vegan filling options. Very delicious, freshly made to order churros. The coffee was ok. The Mexican hot chocolate is delicious! Note: alternative milk is an extra 1$ charge. Very friendly staff and seating indoor and outdoor.

I ordered the s’mores churro and Horchata. I strongly recommend Horchata it’s my favorite drink when I was a child. I wish it could be more thick but the flavour was pretty good.

Went here this evening after some fish tacos at El Camino. How perfect that La Catrina Churros were right next door for dessert! It was my first time and the lady was veryy sweet, greeting us as we walked in and out. My friend and I got the filled Churros, comes as pairs so perfect for sharing. Lots of choices but I got the Chocolate filled, and it was definitely loaded. I would highly recommended. The ambience inside was very nice, clean and chill music. I’m excited to come again ☺️

I had the dulce de leche filled churros. It was just ok. The customer service and presentation was poor and disappointing.

Amazing authentic Mexican food! We go to Mexico 2 and even 3 times a year, and this was just as good! Habanero sauce is soo good and spicy! They need to bottle that stuff Definitely will be back

The churros at this place are mind blowing. I dont think you're prepared for the level of delight your brain is about to enter into. These churros are worth selling your entire soul for. These churros are worth selling your bff's soul for (what are you using it for anyway? CHURROS, THAT'S WHAT) GO HERE NOW FOR A COZY and deliciously great time. I'm definitely going back! (OH, and the tres leches is to die for). ♡

Must visit local Mexican cuisine in the Byward Market. Everything I had was delicious: Pancheros (3) Golden Tacos (3) Churros (2) If you’re looking for great hot sauce ask the kitchen for their Habanero hot sauce. Dulce de Leche churros is a favourite! In my photo I thoroughly enjoyed the Pancheros and forgot to take a photo. 🤣 (Misspelled Panuchos as Pancheros, sorry for the misunderstanding)

Ordered the large Tres Leches cake online and picked up, great service, delicious cake. It was for a birthday party and large group and everyone loved it.

This is a cute spot! We got a Spanish hot chocolate, regular hot chocolate, churros, pulled pork sandwich and pulled beef sandwich. Everything was good; the sandwiches (torta) were good value ($11 each and HUGE). The bread was crusty and fluffy. They have some milk alternatives for the regular hot chocolate which was nice!

This is a cute little spot to enjoy some hot (or cold) drinks with some fresh churros. They offer a variety of fillings/dip for the churros you can’t go wrong with the chocolate or Dulce de Leche! I miss their spicy hot chocolate, it’s the reason I came back but I didn’t see it on the menu. The interior is really nice and lively with decorations and a beautiful mural! The staff are very nice and friendly, if you order dine in then they bring up the food to you. The only downside is the high price… Definitely would revisit and recommend

Their churros are DELICIOUS! So hot, crunchy and tasty. The boss lady was super nice and friendly to us. Highly recommended and will definitely come back.

Delicious churros. They have some creative variety of churro treats. They even sell beer. It's a small cozy place but decorated very nicely.

I forgot to take pictures so that I can brag about the best churros I’ve ever had. The guy who works there is the nicest. Great service and vibes. I basically took all my friends there. I almost became a regular but I had to reduce my sugar intake. I am out of town right now but once I am back to Ottawa that’s the first stop I’m going to make. No doubt about that!

I was there this afternoon for a nice patio lunch. I waited outside for a table for a while and the waiter told me to just go inside and order and then they’ll bring the food out. I was just a bit annoyed because they have all the tables outside and no indication that you have to go inside. The torta was a little sad. I felt like they went very light on the frijoles and the avocados. Honestly it was a little bit dry. I’ve been here before for churros and those were really good. But I was pretty disappointed with the lunch option today. It also took a bit long for a sandwich. And we were the only ones on the patio.

The best churros I’ve ever had. Must be eaten with the homemade dolce de lecce. We also had their daily special for lunch and it was outstanding. Fresh and authentic. They even make their own habanero sauce. Also, fantastic service, great coffee and very clean place. Bravo!

First time ordering from La Catrina & they completely exceeded my expectations. The employees are very kind, and respectful. I found their menu easy to navigate. I ordered a large size Tres Leches cake and they delivered it to me on time, and maintained communication with me via text throughout. I have to say: it was the BEST and most authentic tres leches I’ve had in a long time. It was a hit at the birthday party and I cannot wait to try more of their stuff. Thanks again!

Excellent, friendly service. Churros were crispy and tasty and delicious and perfectly flavoured, even though I ate them a little while after I got them. The tres leches cake was moist and flavorful, effing delicious. It was tragic to see the patio empty even though it was allowed to open. Can't recommend enough.

Fresh churros and the best salted caramel ice cream I’ve had in a long long time . The staff is really sweet too!

Got the nutella churros for $9 - a little expensive in my opinion but they were very great. Service is friendly and they have a healthy roster of drink options. Only sore spots is that the couch seat upstairs desperately needs to be replaced (paint splatters and other marks).

Great churros! Amazing tortas (sandwiches)! And the owners personal attention is a gem.
