Pretty good falafel Saj wrap! Nothing particularly notable, a little bit pricey for in store pickup, but overall it was a solid meal. Edit: Removing one star for an undue extremely hostile response from the owner. I didn't complain about the prep time of the meal, or that it was my first time trying falafel. It was just "pretty good". Was planning on coming back to try again but after getting harassed here for a middling review I rattled off in 20 seconds, whoa buddy find some calm. It's okay. I wish you success.

Hot Fatteh was a reason why I made my stop, and everything this restaurant serves will be reasons why I will make my stops. From its signature Falafel to Kebab, anything on menu is impressive. Amount of foods are huge and comes with lots of extras. Warm foods serve by warm hands!

Hands down the best falafal I've ever tried in Canada. Falafal has a reputation of being dry, this stuff was crispy outside, soft inside, like a perfectly spiced non sweet macaroon. The super long thin style pita too is def a better experience than what you'd normally get. The people are super kind and humble too. Try it.

We did our biking and food adventure in Ottawa and have this as one of our stopovers. This is my rank 1 food item in my first trip to Ottawa. I still can’t get over about the “Hot Fatteh Bowl”. I am trying to search here in Toronto but can’t find one. It’s really special!! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED if you dine in.

First time here, but most certainly not my last time! Still eating my food, but wanted to post a quick review. Think I've finally found a new favourite place for quick meals to go! I'll post another review after my next visit with more pics. Really really enjoyed everything..

If you drive or walk by, you might not notice this place or judge it by it’s non flashy/ modern looks but boy would you be wrong. The absolute best falafels I have ever tasted. The falafel sandwich on Saj bread is to die for. The fatoush salad is the freshest fatoush salad I’ve had ever eaten. The falafel salad... amazing. Taste and freshness aside, the amount of food you receive for the price is very generous. So happy I discovered this place! I highly recommend it!

Great delivery experience, we had a mix of items. Large portions of all, well-seasoned. Somebody at this shop knows how to toast almonds to perfection I never had them tasting so good before!! My favourite was the hot fatteh bowl, great with the smoked rice that we ordered as a side. The meat in the beef kebabs was great to wrap in pitas with the roasted veggies. Falafel was herby and onion-y (in a good way) much more flavourful and crispier than you would get at a typical counter in our city.

Best falafel I’ve ever had. I had the salad plate and my bf had the falafel wrap. We were both impressed with the texture, flavour and freshness of the falafels. The salad was really fresh and even the dressing was delicious. We’re just sad that we’re not local and can’t eat here anytime we want. Service was super friendly.

This place has been on my ‘try’ list for a while. I regret not having visited them earlier. Reasonably priced, and I very much liked how it looked and tasted clean. The ingredients were fresh, and the food was nicely represented. And of course SAJ Sandwich Platter was delicious!

Original freshly made Middle Eastern food with a great flavour. The yellow rice was one of the best I've ever tasted. They use a special mix of spices to get that great flavour. The owners were very friendly.

Amazing friendly staff ! Hole in the wall with great variety ( Breakfast and lunch ) , place was very clean and the open kitchen was very clean as well ! We had Fatteh Bowl , Fava Bowl and Roasted egg plant with yogurt . It came with a side plate of vegetables ! Egg plant plate was 5/5 Fava bowl was 4/5 , missing lemon juice and a little bit of spices for flavour Fatteh was not what we expected , definitely missing a lot of spices and flavour ! Would definitely be back to try the lunch menu , sandwiches looked delicious !

If you are in Ottawa, this is the best place for flafel and shish tawuk chicken sandwiches ever. This comes from a guy who quit eating flafel since coming to Canada 9 years ago. An absolute gem.

This place always hits the spot! Food is delicious and very well priced. Humble, family run business. We got the eggplant/yogurt dish, fries, fattoush, and falafel plate, more than enough for two people.

Amazing cozy place to have different kinds of Kebab and felafels. We had the felafel on salad which is 100% vegetarian if you’re looking for a veggie option. We also had 2 beef kebabs which tasted delicious. The service is really good and atmosphere is calm and not very busy.

  • 5/5 Racha A. 7 months ago on Google
Very delicious Falafel sandwich. Service is amazing, and they give you extra pita bread, pickles, and tahini sauce. I recommend the place for take outs only, though, as the seating inside is not nice.

  • 5/5 Brendon M. 1 year ago on Google
The falafel is amazing. Perfect texture with crispy outside and soft inside. The flavour is so good too. We also had some sides like rice and fatteh which were pretty good but the falafel is the main attraction and obviously what they’re known for. Would definitely come for a sandwich or falafel platter.

Delicious food! First time trying and fell in love. The falafels are fresh and delicious the mint inside the sandwich was perfect. The fava bean and eggplant hummus was so flavourful. I can’t wait to try more of the menu. Highly recommend.

An easy to miss, house storefront, but worth tracking down. Delicious Falafel salad, generous portion, well seasoned, spicy to the taste.

  • 3/5 Al C. 2 years ago on Google
Been there few times already, I like their food especially the Fatteh dish ( chicpeas with tahine and bread) a tiny place but it is worth the visit for a nice breakfast

  • 5/5 Virginie 2 years ago on Google
Love the presentation (very unexpected and cute flower carrot included) and tastes so good. We didn’t think the platter came with mini wraps but it was a pleasant surprise. The mint really adds to the flavours. Will be back!

Love you offer vegan options, but the rotten fava bean salad we ordered got pitched right in the trash. As a chef myself, anyone who smelled this would have known it was unacceptable to serve and the fact you did, means I won't be back. Edit: hot fava beans bowl is most certainly on your menu and it was rotten. I should have named it more accurately. I should have also mentioned the dry, crumbly falafel but I thought I'd focus on what we threw out instead of what we forced ourselves to eat. The fact you have chosen to claim this is a fake review other than attempt to make right with a customer who got terrible food shows again why I won't be back. Edit2 I'll respond again. If you had taken a moment to enquire about details of this order I could have helped you by providing specifics of the date and time ordered, so you could check your processes. We were massively disappointed, threw the warm favas straight in the trash due to the rotton smell coming from them. But instead of asking a customer for more information you have decided a strong rebuke is the best approach and I take exception to that as well. We are real customers who live in the neighbourhood and felt you served rotten food and you don't care to address that other than say everything is fine. Terrible customer service.

2021 update: The best falafel I've had in Ottawa and beyond! Staff is so freindly, food so fresh! What's not to like? Had the Fatteh platter for dinner tonight and made sure to get some of their turnips and falafel for the fridge as well.

Amazing falafel, but don't forget they also sell amazing shish Tawook sandwiches. The fries sandwich is something to try. Very friendly crew, reasonable prices and excellent food quality. A five stars rating for sure. Whoever provided a one star rating definitely got it wrong... The food I tried has always been fresh and made to order.

  • 5/5 Katelin M. 3 years ago on Google
This place is unbelievable. These are the best falafels I have ever eaten in my life. They are so crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, not greasy at all. The Saj bread is also great. The quality of the food for the price is amazing. I am mad I didn't know about this place sooner, I will be back very soon! Friendly service and really clean inside also.

  • 5/5 Hana A. 3 years ago on Google
Heard about this place on CBC Radio one. Best quality falafels I've ever eaten in my life not overly dried out or greasy like other places. The lentil soup is also tasty just a tad too salty for my taste. Everytime I'm near that area, I head there. Keep up the great work!

They deserve 5 stars honestly... Great quality, very generous, and super tasty...

Best falafel in town. I’ve tried many places and this is the most authentic falafels I’ve had here. Near identical to the ones back in the Middle East. The sandwiches are great, and the fatteh too! You must try it!

I’ve been meaning to rate this one for a while, as I frequently order from here. Fantastic falafel. Crispy in the right spots, and soft in the right spots. However, I think the real star is the saj bread. It’s both chewy and crispy, with just the right texture. One of my go-to falafel houses, and easily one of the best in Ottawa.

Best falafel in the city, seriously. They incorporate jalapeño in the falafel, and sesame to coat them too. The hot fatteh bowl is a really nice addition to the menu, doing it right with pomegranate sprinkled on top. The owner is extremely proud of his efforts, showcasing your meal before he packs it up to ensure satisfaction, so sweet! Genuine people making food with love.
