Love that it's not just a gelato place. They have homemade soups, desserts, etc. They have the largest scones I've ever seen, and if you go for the gelato, you can choose up to 3 different flavours. And they fill it up to the max! What great service!

This place has the highest quality ice cream in town. They respect the covid restrictions without being too pushy about it and the staff is very friendly. Other ice cream places don’t always completely fill the cup and leave hole with no ice cream while Stella Luna spent about 5 minutes just to make sure that wouldn’t be the case. My only complaint is that when the store closes the patio closes as well which means that if you’re one of the last people to order you might not be able to eat what you got on the patio. However this isn’t that much of an inconvenience since there are public benches not too far from the site. The shop itself also looks very nice on the interior. Overall, a great experience at a fair price!

Amazing food! Top quality and terrific service. Their Gelato flavors are incredible! Scones are the best I've ever had in my life! They do things right. Their mocha's taste like real chocolate and not that fake syrup from Starbucks or Second cup. Seriously can't get enough of this place. Totally lives up to their spectacular reputation. If you consider yourself a foodie, you need to start going here. You will not be disappointed.

Stella Luna is one of the best gelato places in Ottawa. There’s always a line out the door and everyone who works there is very friendly and helpful. Most variety in flavours and worth the stop every time!

A place with extreme charm, friendly staff and good space. I was really impressed by this one. I often drove by in curiosity and today had time to satisfy it. 😉✌ Both the indoor seating and the outdoor was ample, a lovely color and decor distribution. Facilities were top notch. I think the location is perfect, alas for a bit of lingering annoying construction on Wellington which of course shall pass. The prices were fair and I can see myself returning many more times. A perfect place to enjoy a coffee, certainly on a pleasant late Summer/early Fall time day such as this. Well done on the building itself and design. That enough drew me in. Not every cafe or place of this type is suited to its environment, these folks pulled it all off well. Cheers

This place is super duper cute and the drinks and gelato are great. As per Anthony's recommendations, I tried the dirty chai (Espresso and chai) and the sunny almond gelato and both were delicious. However, I have to say the best part of my visit was his amazing service. Anthony was so polite, kind and considerate and was a breath of fresh air (especially compared to a lot of the service I've witnessed post pandemic). Thanks for being so great Anthony! :) The only recommendation I have for this place is to please get Wi-Fi! Being a cafe, I didn't expect to have to use my data to hot-spot.

I am surprised I have not discovered this place sooner! I ordered the a cookies and cream, and a maple walnut combination. My wife ordered the fuzzy peach, and raspberry it really tasted like fuzzy peach candy! The service was fantastic, and although it was busy, the staff was very upbeat and friendly. This is our new gelato spot!

I heard about the owner going to Italy to practice their craft so I was interested in what standard would be maintained. The ice cream is OUT OF THIS WORLD. No exaggeration, I’m the type of person that says ice cream is ice cream you can’t expect much but honestly if you are in Ottawa and haven’t been your missing out. The aesthetic is also very nice, I can see a lot of effort was put into creating the ambiance. The only negative part of my experience was the chipped plate I was served in. If I’m paying 15$ for a crepe, I think the least I can expect is a plate that is not chipped.

Very busy. Confusing service. Nice concept of interior design. Was busy as heck when I was there, but was able to find a seat. Service is nothing more than asking for your ice cream. The staff are not able to provide further service from what I can tell. The ice cream was pretty good, the fruit smoothie was very Berry in flavor, rich in taste good experience over all

Delicious Gelato. Best in town in my opinion. Very roomy and bright space. Very friendly staff. A bit pricey but a great place to indulge.

The gelato is to die for. There is a bit of an optical illusion with their display case. Didn't realize there were two rows of gelato until they told me (looks like a mirror for some reason). It would also be helpful if the flavors they printed out on the piece of paper on the table printed relative to the location of the gelato in the display case. I just want to see the flavor without scanning for each one, one by one. Really nice spot.

Perhaps one of my favourite place for gelato in Ottawa. Lots of traditional flavours as well as some more unique flavours. The flavours rotate so there's always something new every visit; some of the flavours contain alcohol, which may or may not appeal to people's tastes.

Our family adores Stella Luna. It's a veritable gem for handcrafted old world gelato. Easily the best gelato in Ottawa hands down! Of particular note are the Madagascar vanilla, chocolate raspberry, and strawberries and cream flavours. Keep up the great work! :-)

This place should be closed as it does not respect regulations about the covid... in fact, I walk my dog everyday and I can tell all staff, before opening, DO NOT wear any mask!!! They set all ice cream storage in the customer area, making cakes in the kitchen without anything on their faces!??? For the price, this shop should pay more respect about their clients!! Shameful. Once clients arrive, they put their mask on> what a joke. 3 times I saw that this week, and I will take pics next time, this is NOT acceptable.

My family and I are regular customers in this location as we love the great gelato they make there. We were always pleased with the courteous and great customer service (only because of this I couldn't put 1 star, as I wanted because of today's experience). Today (Sept. 14), when I walked in at approximately 9:20 pm (not busy), I saw new staff members who made fun of me because of my word pronunciation. If she didn't understand something, she could've re-asked me and not say me some non-sense in my face. Also, I was always getting small waffle cones with three flavours, but this night I was told they only do two flavours; I told the staff that I've constantly been getting three flavours, so he said that he will do me an exception like what?! I also got a much smaller portion than I usually get (it was flat). Please train your new team members to have more manners and be more professional. Thank you.

I come here every chance I get for at least a coffee, and the food I've tried (salads, wraps, desserts) has all been absolutely scrumptious and the portions quite generous. Though I have yet to try the Gelato (make no mistake, I will), it looks sooo creamy I want to slather all over me like lotion! I have a feeling it will taste too good for that though. The staff here are very welcoming & friendly. Everything they makes is delicious. With all they have to offer from flavour to atmosphere, it is well worth the price. You'll be sure to leave with a smile on your face (unless you're too busy stuffing it). ** They take everyone's health & safety seriously which is very comforting in a pandemic! Any of the times, they've had to 'remind' someone to follow Covid restrictions, they were firm, but still polite & kind. Keep up the amazing job!

The pistachio, coconut and dark chocolate gelato are to die for. If it’s your first time get the small because even though it looks tiny, the portion they serve in very generous… I haven’t been able to finish the small to date.

Great choice in flavours. Just don't go for the cone. You get half as much gelato as the cup. At $9+, it is very noticeable. My friend had the cup and I could see the difference. There is no gelato in the cone. It is very deceiving.

Absolutely delicious sorbet! I chose the raspberry, ruby peach, and grapefruit flavours. Very refreshing on a hot summer evening :) They have a cute patio outside as well!

Quaint little dessert place in Hintonburg. Delicious menu that changes every day. My favourite is their ice cream. Many flavours to choose from. Plenty of patio seatings outdoor for all to enjoy. A nice place to hangout with friends.

Great place to get a yummy, fresh gelato. Lots of flavors selection at the counter and taste identical to those gelatos you can get in Italy. There's also an interesting selection of Italian products which you wouldn't find anywhere else. Staff friendly and welcoming. Prices fair. Greatly recommended.

Wonderful, ever-changing selection of yummy food at either location. Whether you pick up frozen take home or in store yummy treats, something in this store is for you. Don't forget to check out the shelves, there is always something to pick up, either for yourself or as a gift. I always go to Spaniels tale book store in Hintonburg, then stop off here for a treat while I read my book. Or I go to the gallery across the street from the Bank street location. Either way, it makes for a great day!

My husband and I went to Stella Luna for an evening treat and drinks. My tea was excellent and my husband enjoyed his pumpkin spice. The service was also impressive, very kind staff, responsive and helpful. My only complaint was that the desert we ordered, which was a chocolate peanut butter cake in their display, tasted very obviously stale and quite old. We did not enjoy the cake at all. It was very dry and just tasted “off”, which was so disappointing. We end it up having to throw out most of the cake which was less than ideal.

I had the largest blueberry scone I have ever encountered. Although I convinced myself there were few calories in this giant because the blueberries made it healthy, I began eating with the intention of sharing or keeping half for the next day. I am ashamed to say I did not share and I did not have any remaining to take home. I still maintain there are few calories because of the healthy blueberries. I dare you to eat just half. Lol.

Love this place - hard not to spend all my money here. The gelato is superb, and the coffee is fantastic too!
