I’ve been in this restaurant several times. Service and food are great! Friendly staff, delicious foods and desserts. You don’t have to think a lot about what to order here. All foods are great with iconic taste. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Horrible service on a consistent basis. We waited too long for drinks and while we were provided with complimentary drinks, we prefer good service. We decided to give it one more chance. We went last Saturday (October 17) and were told our table would be ready when it was cleared from the previous patrons. It took them 25 minutes to clear that table while the employees were observed socializing. I really don’t care about excuses like Covid or staffing issues. If you can’t provide the service then don’t open. I sent an email but it fell on deaf ears. They don’t care. Perhaps a call to the Fullers is in order.

Been here on a Sunday late night around 11:30 pm, waited for like 15-20 mins for a table for 2. Ordered couple of cocktails, an appetizer, 2 mains and a dessert Food was served amazingly well. And it tasted well too!! While service is polite and the place does have a vibe. Huge fancy seating area with lights. 4 star is the food is on expensive side for the quantity.

This review will be broken down into five aspects: Food (5/5) The combination of the Harrissa on top of the grilled chicken was insane. It must have been placed on top after the chicken was cooked and then somehow plastered on. Incredibly fresh taste to the vegetable, Tzatziki sauce was delicious. It was my first time trying cauliflower rice, very well done. The combination of flavours in this bowl fit really well. Service (4/5) Great service. Table was partially cleared before everyone finished which made it awkward for the person still eating. At one point, there were three fries left, and the plate was taken away. Atmosphere (4/5) Good atmosphere, but music is extremely loud, it’s very difficult having a conversation without screaming. Would consider lowering the music a bit. Water (5/5) I’ve heard really good things about the water here, I had about 6 cups, HIGHLY recommend with ice! Price (3/5) Understand that based on this location and food quality, the prices should be a bit higher, however, the quantity of food could be a bit higher. I believe this Mediterranean chicken bowl used a single chicken breast, for $25, that is a LOT of money considering the other ingredients were: Cauliflower rice, grape tomatoes, chickpeas, and garnish. - Starting tip is also 18 % with no choice that I could see to enter less, felt a bit pushy. The question I always like to answer to myself is: Would I come here again ? Would I be missing out on something incredible if I didn’t ? 🤔 Maybe if I win the lottery. Spending my entire month’s takeout budget on a single meal is just not very fiscally responsible, if you can afford it tho, by all means!

We were a group of 5 people, and we all got a complimentary glass of champagne when we arrived, that was welcoming. The food was prepared fresh, tasty dishes, came quickly, and the ingredients matched well. The staff accepted my request to swap french fries for sweet potato fries, which was great. There was also a specific menu for happy hour. The decor is nice, the seats comfortable. The atmosphere was ok, until different staff (at least 4, one at the time) came to ask if we wanted more drinks, that became pushy and annoying pretty fast. The prices of dishes were ok, taking in consideration the ambience.

Joey is so good! Great location and everything I've tried has been super delicious. Definitely try the sushi rolls app yum. Great atmosphere, nice friendly staff, speedy service and a good menu. Classy joint for a dinner date, drinks, or a nice meal with family and friends. Cheers to Joey!

DISAPPOINTED Great restaurant but cheap on the portion size. I even ordered extra fries and between the The fries that come with my $20 burger and the side of fries for $5, it was barely enough to fit two hand fulls. The burgers are still good but for some reason they are cheap on the fries 🍟 and they aren’t even expensive! Not sure why they got cheap during the pandemic but it’s pretty disappointing. Probably won’t order from here again because the price has gone up in the portion size has gone down.

Service was really amazing!! The lobster ravioli was DELICIOUS but for $31 the portion is VERY SMALL, as you can see in the picture. Maybe 7 or 8 pieces of ravioli.

The staff was some of the rudest I have encountered. Watching the way the hostess spoke to my girlfriend was unbelievably infuriating when she was just trying to understand why we waited for 1.5 hours only to be then told there was no way we were going to be seated. I do feel they had to have known earlier that we wouldn't get a seat. With out a doubt the worst customer service I've seen. This was on November 14th....

Went there for my wife's birthday. Great place with delicious food. Food portion is a little less but I would still give 5 stars for the taste and restaurant ambience. Special shoutout to the choco lava cake.

Disappointed that impossible burger is offered yet the kitchen has made no effort to provide a fully vegan option. It is served on a brioche bun with eggs and the sauce also has eggs. No vegan bread is available at all. What is the point of offering this incredible plant based protein but only doing so for vegetarians and not vegans. I'm a chef. It's would be easy to make a vegan option, you have decided not to and that speaks volumes.

Great place, can be a little loud but it is for sure hop’n! Servers are amazing, food is a solid 8/10 and the price was a little higher then expected. Great location just needs to update the menu a little bit more for the price point and classiness of the place.

The staff is super nice, the food & drinks are really good too. Special thank you to the staff for writing a custom message on our desert plate for a birthday, the attention was very appreciated.

I tested their fried chicken sandwich and liked its mildly spicy taste. Staff and service were delightful. Inside seats could use a better air conditioning though.

I always order from this location and never had an issue with my order. This time in very disappointed and unhappy. The my usual order which is the tuna poke bowl was horrible. Rice was very old and clumpy and inedible. Tuna tasted old and not fresh and the plate presentation was horrible in general. Not worth the $27 I paid. I do not recommend it. Waste of money

The food was really great, the service was phenomenal though. They were really accommodating, kind and attentive. I highly recommend going to this place for a special occasion or just for a good night out.

Went to restaurant last evening, to support local business during COVID, the restaurant staff did nothing to control the number of customers waiting at reception area, no social distancing whatsoever!! Restaurants have been complaining about being closed, then I experienced this; these actions certainly demonstrate they should be closed, to protect us all!! Too bad as this was my wife’s favourite restaurant, and ruined my Saturday evening!!

A very classy & modern establishment that serve elegant dishes and a fun night-out vibes. Located in the Lansdowne, Ottawa area, this fancy place is a go-to spot for all of your life's milestones celebrations. Atmosphere: 5 out of 5. Visited this location on a Saturday evening to celebrate a friend's 22nd birthday. They were able to accomodate our group of 20 with an early reservation. However, we did feel a little bit squished being seated at their longest table. They had two people from our group sit at one of the table ends, making it feel a little crowded, instead of pushing another small table to extend the space. We had 2 servers and they were both very nice and friendly. They were able to efficiently get everyone's drink & food orders at a timely manner. Service: 4 out of 5. Everyone's food came out a decent time and serving portions are a good size. Prices for each dishes are a little on the higher end, however the flavours and experience did pull their weight. Ordered their 16oz ribeye with garlic butter, peppercorn sauce, fully loaded crispy mashed potato and asparagus, and an order of their truffle parmesan fries with grainy mustard aioli dip to share. The ribeye was cooked and seasoned well, with a flavourful crust topped with the garlic butter. I also did quite enjoy the peppercorn sauce & the loaded crispy mashed potato that added a nice texture and complimentary flavour to the meat. However, I did find the asparagus a bit undercooked for my liking. The parmesan truffle fries were fried perfectly, the dip added a nice extra flavour and was a great shareable dish. Food: 4 out of 5. Overall experience: 4 out of 5. Will definitely consider coming back to this establishment to celebrate another milestone if I'm ever in town again.

Amazing lunch and we had a server that made the entire experience even better. We met a client for lunch and Taylor could not have made this a better experience. You’re lucky to have her and she ensured our business lunch was incredible. She can call us any day for a job.

Ok appetizers. Fried cauliflowers were like general Tao chicken ….. crunchy with a lot of batter. Spicy hot wings were nice but smallest wings I have had ever….

3.5 STARS Waitstaff was amazing if not a little too much, with a few too many check ins. My waitress was amazing and very knowledgeable. She happily offered alternatives and got us some nice drinks. No fault of her own, since the bar was out of stock of the beer that was wanted and blender was broken. Food had amazing taste but portion sizes was too small for what this restaurant is. The meal depicted in the photograph $30 and then got a dessert with exactly 5 raspberries on it. My family that was visiting and myself left the place hungry.

Ok, so mixed feelings about this place. The food is good but the portions are way too small. The happy hour is the only time, this place is worth it. Otherwise, the food or ambiance or available bevies choices or whatnot are simply not enough to make me want to spend more to eat there. I would most likely go elsewhere to get the same quality at a more decent price.

Found the restaurant warm. However, we were in a major heatwave with people entering and existing from the patio constantly. We were a very large party, but our server was excellent and very attentive. The apps were delicious, and I can recommend the Nachos sliders and truffle fries. I had the Poke bowl and would gladly order this again. we will return

Joey Lansdowne is one of those iconic upscale pubs! They are located in a happening spot of Ottawa and are usually packed! Pros: Loved their presentation and the ambience is just great! Ample seating area and the music just goes so well with the vibe! Food here is definitely good with a vide variety of options to choose from! Cons: They are a bit pricey considering the portion size. It’s not bad, but it just feels like they hold back just that little bit! Recommendations: Drinks- Spicy Passionfruit Margaritas, Elderflower Colins and Leading Lasy. Food- Korean Fried Cauliflower, Sushi Cone, Katsura Peanut Chicken Salad and Japanese Gyoza. They have ample parking here, but sure if they validate the parking tickets though!

We had the hummus appetizer with tzatziki and pita and the flavours were great. Could of used some more garlic but other than that it was a great app. We then had the chicken parmigiana and it was delicious. The sauce had a little kick of spice and the chicken was crispy and juicy. We Also had the chicken sandwich and it was delicious. Arugula, bacon and a spicy aioli. Came on a fresh lightly toasted bun. The fries were ok that came with it. Excellent service provided by Kristina and food overall.

Everything was perfect, we had veggie burger and chicken parmesan. The veggie burger taste was totally different from what we've ever had. The chicken parmesan was good.

Nice atmosphere, good food and attentive staff. We had lunch there for the first time and was suitably impressed. The staff was pleasant and attentive. The food was fresh. The plexiglass dividers at each table created a feeling of being bubbled off from the rest of the diners. We would return.

Everything was delicious - from the sangria, the chicken sandwich, and the truffle fries (I could eat those every day for the rest of my life). The molten lava cake was also delicious! Went for happy hour too to take advantage of some cheaper prices, and the service was great!

One of our favourite patios for drinks and food in Lansdowne. Their tuna and avocado roll is the go to every single time! Ribs are also fall off the bone and their Buddha Bowl is healthy and refreshing. Staff are friendly and service is great. Food is 5/5, service 4/5.

Excellent place for date night with hubby. The food was very tasty and good portions overall. Service on point. Will definitely will be back. Tip: it gets really busy after 6pm so plan accordingly.

Great food and very good service. Everything was flawless other than having a reservation for 6 persons being sat at a booth clearly designed for four. The location was "full" yet many tables were held for the entire duration of our visit completely empty, very strange. Management must reconsider what they classify as table for 6. Not everyone will complain about the poor seating. So being told "we do get complaints about the space but some dont" isn't good.

I came into Joey's this evening with a small group for a work event, the food was delicious. Great atmosphere and excellent service. Our server was Ahmed. We look forward to coming back, and enjoying more espresso martinis!

Always a great experience at Joey's! So many great items on the menu, it's always hard to choose. We sat on the patio for a snack and the service was great. Ordered the roasted corn guac and steak fires, both excellent.

Had a lovely lunch date here. They've got a great selection of drinks and dinner items to choose from. The service was friendly and professional. Everything came out great and on time. Highly recommend.

I’ve probably dined at this location at least 25 times. I don’t recall ever having a bad meal here. Service is usually very good, depending on how busy they are. My go-to apps are the pressed salmon oshi and the sliders - delicious. Herb crushed salmon is one of my favorite entrees but they were sold out, it took our server 10 mins to let us know so we had to pick something else. Overall, very good food and nice ambience.

joey lansdowne is one of the best restaurants in The Capital. Great location, well designed, beautiful decor & most importantly delicious food, amazing & friendly staff, wonderful food presentation & lots of alcohol and non-alcoholic drinks. Must try the vegetarian burger.

Nice patio! We ordered avocado rolls and steak+sushi, the food was well presented and tasty and good quality. The staff were very friendly and quick. Will go back there and recommend this place.

Ordered a meal at 540 to be delivered to a downtown hotel. The Uber Driver could not find the Sheraton which actually takes up over half block. I find this out when I call at 710 looking for my meal. They said it was returned . They made it a second time and it arrived at 835, almost 3 hours late. Still billed me full amount!!!

Beautiful classy restaurant!! went last weekend with my husband to Joeys which our friends recommended as a top restaurant to check out there... and I’m glad we did..! The food is so good and tasty, I am a vegetarian and I found so many options I enjoyed so much! The atmosphere is super fun, Great music for Saturday night. I had the chance to meet Jade, Layal, Morgan, Geneve and Nikisa! they took care of us so well made sure we were always comfortable and served<333 I would highly recommend this place! YOU’ll love it

Over sauced and over salted- worst Joeys I have been to in Canada.

I have visited late evening and the service and quality I would describe as bad . The order didn't come with any cutlery or paper napkins so i had to get it all separately. And for the food quality would say was just as bad . The hamburger was plain and burned and french fries dried out and not eatable. Sushi would say was average but definitely would not return again .

Poor customer service. Left my info so they can call when there is availability, that was 7:15 pm. They closed at 10 pm and no one bothered to call at least to say that there will be 0 chance to get a table. Respect your customers.

Having just moved to ottawa this was my first time at joey’s I had the pleasure of being served by bella, she made us feel welcomed with her kindness and warmth. Although it was very busy bella still took the time to help us go over the menu and make recommendations. The food and drinks were also delicious, we will be back!

Would have given 4 stars for the two curry noodles I ordered, was good, too salty though, over priced too. They didn’t put in cutlery or napkins for the takeout order; pretty dumb and useless. And for $25 noodles you would expect to be full somehow, portion was too small

Visited the patio during covid, and it was very well done. Lots of heaters and great spacing. It is still cold out, but they've done a great job under the current circumstances
