I am extremely disappointed in this Clinic. I have took in a long time to process exactly what I was going to say females don't let clinics fool you into thinking you're the problem. I have had multiple people including myself that were blamed for PCOS when there was other alternatives. I was going to this location for two years and had two different doctors and did two different lab testing twice just because they were so unorganized. they rarely reach out to connect with you and they always make it feel like you are the problem. Finally my testing in February I had been poked and probed and stressed out for 2 years trying to get a fertility treatment done. I will never recommend anyone going here I am taking matters into my own hands and go somewhere elsewhere. I will say that the nurses are absolutely fabulous very sweet and kind make you feel extremely comfortable but the front staff is an absolute zoo I had so much miscommunication from the very beginning and I even spoke to the manager twice and she did not do anything about my concerns after the very last time I did not even call back and still to this day they have never tried to connect with me or help me in any way even though they were the ones that were disorganized. I'm usually not the type to complain I always leave positive reviews on Google but I had to let you all know that I am extremely hurt and upset by the way this Clinic has treated me it has wasted two years of my life trying to get pregnant when they didn't even start any procedures. Queens take care of yourself ask as many questions as possible and do what's best for you individually.

I would not recommend this clinic to anyone. While many of the nurses and doctors are very kind and empathetic, they are disorganized, make mistakes frequently (miscommunications between doctors and nurses are frequent), oblivious to advances in fertility treatment that are routinely done elsewhere, and inconsistent in how they work with patients. Half the time, the left hand doesn’t know what the right hand’s doing. It’s frustrating as a patient when we’re given 3 different treatment protocols in a week, each time being told this is what the doctor ordered. Or being called by a nurse with test results who says we’re doing a mock cycle when we did an FET weeks ago… and many more similar examples of confused staff that can’t seem to read a chart properly.

Overall, I am very pleased with the care that my partner and I have received at the Ottawa Fertility Center. Everyone from the receptionist to the doctors are lovely, compassionate and very competent at what they do. I also applaud them for being able to get through so many patients in a timely matter considering all the pandemic restrictions. Thanks to the staffs expertise my IVF cycle and frozen embryo transfers went very smoothly and I’m now 21 weeks with a beautiful baby boy However, one thing that could use a bit of improvement is the phone line. No one answers the phone which can be a slight frustration to be waiting by your phone for the call back

I’m writing this with a huge frustration that i had this morning, another mistake made by the treating doctor, is the second time I have been canceled the treatment for IUI and recommending the cycle that comes , can you imagine the stress I go through and the money we spend without refund from the insurance and tell me that we missed the day of ovulation!!! Is it professional what you doing

It's taken me awhile to write this review because my experience was so awful. Let me start out by saying the support staff, US techs, and nurses are lovely. HOWEVER, half the doctors care and the other half do not, you're just a number to be seen that day. This clinic completely missed a huge issue after I specifically asked for it to be looked into and learned I wasted THOUSANDS of dollars for IUIs that would have never worked. Additionally, I was under stimmed with the same protocol multiple times despite me asking for a change. Very conservative clinic with strict BMI rules. So glad I left and found personalized care, even if it meant having to drive to Toronto, it was worth it to leave OFC.

So far has not been a good experience. The woman who booked my consult after the 48 hour waiting period was very rude to me. After my consult, my prescription was sent to a pharmacy other than the one I provided, one I've never been to. I emailed to follow up and received no reply. Called and was told their system was down and that someone would call me back but no one did... Update: I received a call back from the clinic! They are not sure how the prescription was sent to the wrong place so they don't know how to prevent it from happening again aside from possibly mailing me a copy of the prescription. In the meantime, my pharmacy reached out to the other pharmacy to get the prescription. I would really like some number to talk to someone about my concerns but the ext referenced in some of the previous replies (210 for Mr Skelly) does not exist...

Reported day 1 at 9am Friday for a time sensitive blood test done between day 2-4. Only got a reply on Sunday day 3 telling me they don’t have time to do the blood test for me until Tuesday day 5. I was told I can wait another month or I can do on day 5, not ideal but doable. If they tell me they are not able to see me ahead of time, I would have been able to go to dynacare on day 2 Saturday!!! They do not see any error in their way of making this not ideal for my health care. Not patient friendly nor accommodating in anyway.

Awful staff who ignores the recommendations of your GP, then tries to pretend they are a doctor. This is the worst medical experience by far that I have ever had in Ontario. Staff has an apparent "God-complex".

Disappointed so far with this clinic. My husband went for a blood test and they didn't label it right so he had to go back. I went in for an ultrasound and they didnt check me in properly, when i told them i was still waiting they continued to take other patients even though my appt was before theirs and then after 40 min of waiting with a full bladder a lady comes out and tells me they arent going to do my ultrasound. With such disorganization with routine testing, it makes you lose trust that the clinic will be able to take care of you and completqe your procedures properly. Update: I was contacted by Leanne about my concerns. Next visit, for another ultrasound, went much better. I was seen right away and no issues. Update 2: Dr White has been great with answering our questions and replying very quickly. It is very much appreciated! Update 3: We really appreciate Dr White's attitude and honest information. He seems willing to actually do the work to figure out if there is any options beyond typical processes since our cycle failed. But OFC does work as a 'team of doctors' so even though Dr White is our dr we have had interactions (phone and in person) with Dr Schmorgan and we agree with many other reviewers...he is pompous and arrogant. I would request another dr if he is the one you are assigned. Other dr at OFC seem quick to dismiss you if you dont fall into their typical cases and deliver bad news (like your only option is donor eggs) even though they arent your main dr. I think dr white would be a better fit at a clinic that offers a higher level of care. If the truth is that you are out of options..okay...but at least have the main dr deliver that news and actually take the time to think if there are other options at OFC or point your patients to other clinics if they offer services you dont. Just a suggestion... Reducing to 3 stars because of the care provided by some of the dr at ofc

Just had the egg retrieval procedure done yesterday. Everyone was so great, especially nurse Alex. She was so attentive to my needs and definitely went above and beyond. The procedure itself isn't very pleasant, but all staff took extra care to make sure I was comfortable.

So far my experience with the clinic has been great! Everyone is so helpful and I find they have a good system in place in terms of booking appointments, reporting your Day 1, etc. If we need to call the clinic, we usually have to leave a message but they are very quick to respond (usually within a couple of hours). My husband and I are still in the early stages of treatment but I feel like we’re in good hands!

The people are great. My only issue is the doctor I use continually brings up my weight. Just passes me along to the next appointment without any further steps or where to go from that appointment. Makes it feel like I'll never have a child unless I lose a significant amount of weight.

What a wonderful experience it’s been. Was referred to a wonderful Doctor(Dr Justin White). Him and his team (Allyson, Courtney Anderson) are great at what they do. They are easy to work with. He explained everything that needed to be done from my first consultation with him. All the necessary tests, blood work, how long each test would take and why they are needed. It was so easy to communicate and ask questions. He would always tell me my next step and I could call when needed. Honestly, it’s been a smooth ride and have not had any reasons to complain. In general, all staffs I have met at OFC from the receptionist, lab/ultrasound techs and nurses have all been amazing. This Is a good place to get your treatments done. I would definitely recommend. Kudos Dr Justin White and team, keep up the good work. Baby dust to everyone trying to conceive.

I have had an amazing experience thus far at the clinic, especially with Allyson and Courtney A. - they have made us feel not only taken care of, but are so responsive to questions and help you understand your diagnosis and way forward. If I could have them for my PCP, I would! I am so glad I got assigned to be their patient because it has made a GREAT first impression of fertility practices for me :)

I can’t say enough good things about this place. From the time our referral was sent to OFC to the time I got in and saw a dr was 1 week. Which from what I’m told, is unheard of. I was very nervous going into this appt, but the staff made me feel so calm and relaxed. They were very professional and helpful. I was blessed to meet with Dr Shmorgun and he made my husband and I feel safe, hopeful and informed. He lined up a bunch of tests for us and allowed us to ask any questions we had. He also explained every test in detail and made sure we understood. I’m very thankful for the Ottawa Fertility Clinic and I’m hopeful that they can help us in our dreams of having a baby, after two miscarriages.

So far, pretty good. I love the thorough testing. In an environment where everyone is on the edge hoping for their miracle, the staff is doing a relatively good job. Everyone is either friendly or at the very least polite which is so important to me in my journey. Well done OFC.

I see a lot of mixed reviews on here. But I have to say that my husband and I had an amazing experience with OFC. We did our IVF cycle there; throughout the testing, ultrasounds, egg retrieval and transfer everyone was amazing. The nurses are phenomenal and informative. We saw Dr. Jackson, she was kind, respectful and always straight to the point. Judy, Dr. Jackson’s main point of contact was always a pleasure to talk to and always so helpful. I had two other doctors for retrieval and transfer, who were also amazing. We have since moved out of province but I plan on going back for future transfers of our frozen embryos! The only downside we had were blood & urinalysis done at outside labs were often lost or took time to find.

Terrible service ... quite insensitive and rude. If you will try to doubt or disagree with their opinion, you will be terribly shamed. I just came out of the visit and it left me with a very bitter taste in my mouth. I am not sure anymore if I would be willing to allow for these individuals help me to conceive. Very disappointed. Will try acupuncture instead.

This place is a hidden gem, in Ottawa our physician make us very comfortable. He discussed with us every steps. I’ll all option. We have even he takes more steps to explain to my wife, the whole procedure, even she is newcomer to Canada and her English not the perfect. We are so happy to deal with this place. Thanks everyone

The doctor doesn't seem to care about her job. She was not understanding or accommodating despite us having to travel for the procedure. We wasted our time and money. The protocol she used was not ideal, she didn't have much to offer. We have since found a better doctor and clinic. This clinic feels like a cattle farm that simply wants to move as many people through as possible without care and attention to people's medical histories and individual needs. Communication is seriously lacking.

So far, my journey at the clinic has been a wonderful experience, wether making appointments, the staff or the clinic itself. They give you clear information, readjust realistic expectations and treat your respectfully. I had to call back at first to start the process, but since I've actually started with the clinic, well, let's just say, I truly feel blessed to have such a team for this journey. I feel they are there to support my choices and they do it with no judgement at all. Thank you OFC :)

So far the staff is so nice, professional and knowledgeable. They take the time to explain everything and they respond quickly. The clinic is well organized during this pandemic. I'm very pleased. Thank you!

I love the OFC and their staff. From the front desk, to the nurses, to the Doctors. My fertility journey was long and not easy, but they have always been nothing but kind and helpful. What do you say about a place that helped you have the most precious gift ever? I felt this way even before I had a successful pregnancy. I even had a failed embryo transfer afterwards, but it doesn't change how I feel about the OFC and their staff. They have always been kind, professional, patient, attentive, understanding. You are doing heaven's work, and I will forever ever be grateful. HUGE thank you to Dr. Kotarba and nurse Celeste. I had other incredible nurses, but I will always remember nurse Celeste for as long as I live because I was having a horrible horrible year and a single 10 minute conversation with her while I was at the clinic gave me a glimpse of hope. Thank you again to everyone at the Ottawa Fertility Center. I recommend this center to anyone who needs it!

Extremely welcoming, positive staff. LGBT friendly. Facility is very clean, well labelled. Sometimes end up in phone-tag with staff, but they always get back to you. Partners are allowed back in rooms which is awesome. Very educated staff, and if they dont know the answer, they ask around so you dont leave not knowing things. Very helpful.

I would like to say thank you to the staff and doctors, specifically Dr. Bryden Magee for our successful treatment. We will always be grateful we found you and the OFC. The staff, doctors and nurses were absolutely wonderful.

Dr Wu was very nice and knowledgeable, we had our first virtual meeting and she answered all our questions. The communication with the clinic is very fast and nurses are very professional and reply very quickly.

They nurses are so warm and nice. The care I received was amazing! It was my first time visiting OFC and it was a great experience for me.

Best experience I have had during an ultrasound. Every step and picture taken was explained to me and I got to see for myself on screen. I felt very apart of my treatment. It brought comfort to me.

Everyone who worked there made the appointment simple and less stressful than expected. Everything was in the same area too, which is amazing and convenient. I do not know anyone there, nor am I am paid sponsor lol.

The staff are accommodating and helpful. Scheduling an appointment is easy. Dr. Gale is informative and sympathetic to my needs.

I had a really good experience under the care of Dr. Maggie and her receptionist, who were so timely in their response. Also the clinic is so clean and well organized.

First visit to the clinic and I felt very welcomed and the nurse and doctor both took the time to have a little small talk with me during the procedure. Was a lovely experience all around, and makes the whole situation a whole lot better. Thank you ❤️

This clinic is utterly fantastic...everyone is so kind and supportive and you really feel like they care. I feel so comfortable and welcome which is such a blessing because having fertility problems is so difficult and emotional already...so its amazing to feel supported and looked after. Thank you to all the staff at the OFC!

Inclusive, professional environment, in which we felt very comfortable. Dr. Magee is very kind and helpful, and explained everything we needed to know. What could have been a very stressful experience was made so much better, thanks to her and the staff.

Sarah was so incredible and did an excellent job caring for me during my appointment. What could have been a really unpleasant procedure was a surprisingly positive experience. My expectations for patient care have truly been exceeded, thank you!!
