Jack Purcell Community Center is a nice place to take kids to. They have a wonderful heated pool. I've been there as a young guy on many occasions to go swimming. They also have an exercise gym. Kind and polite staff. They have different activities for people to take part in. But who have to take a swim in the pool. If you haven't and you like to swim, it's beautiful. A wonderful experience. This is one of the best places I've worked out in Ottawa. Everybody there seems to be very friendly. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. Compared to the YMCA I found this place a thousand times better! To each his to own

Great little pool to bring kids, brought my son and had fun. Nice park out back as well.

Getting a membership here was quick and easy. The front desk staff were very helpful and made sure we were getting exactly what we wanted/needed.

Drop in dodgeball on Thursday nights is AMAZING!!! Only $7 for nearlyn2 hours of fun and a great workout.

The Jack Purcell Community Centre is a wheelchair accessible building.

Place is very good for basic work out. Also, for people who need to work out for physio - rehabilitation purposes. Gym is clean and staff are nice. Very helpful to me after knees replacement surgery, to continue my special and regular exercising.

Outside of needing a bigger gym this community centre is a perfect fit for the golden triangle. Good staff and service, but especially good for those rehabbing from injury or with physical limitations.

Nice community centre and amazing staff. This is a great centre to try if anyone is interested in swimming lessons. They have a clean heated pool. Love music and dance, thinking of joining the dance class. For all the art lovers, there are new art classes starting soon.

i went to the after shcool program a few years ago and it was actually really good it had good counselors. i also went to elgin so it was nice that there was a comunity center near us so... yea! it was cool i recomend!

It is a beautiful center with its gym and its pool, the only inconvenient are those who come to chat in the pool with enough impertinence and bother all who want to swim and do a little exercise. Two people talking are capable on the line, they are able to hamper swimming and exercise five. I think the lifeguards would have to take measures to get these discontented and disrespectful. I think the pool is for swimming and not for meetings for pep talks. .

Nice hot water pool in basement! Shallow but good for little laps and exercise.

Was here for a meeting. The room was very large. It easily accomodated the 20+ people who attended. The elevator to the second floor is too small to accomodate more than one person in a wheelchair at a time, so it took us awhile to all get there. Didn't use the washroom.

I visited the center today, This community center is lovely and boasts a clean environment with friendly staff. The gym is top-notch, offering a comprehensive selection of equipment for all your workout needs. They offer various programs from time to time! Check them out!

I liked the facility from what I saw of it. I went to play badminton with a group of ladies but the front desk didn't know that was going on. Can't blame them though if it's not in their calendar. Anyways. We had a grand time whacking the shuttlecock around. I'll be back next week.

Water fountain not friendly to tall people. 8/10 would recommend. 10/10 walking score though.

Large hall for group dancing. Center town location convenient. Many meaningful activities held there. Parking at the school behind in the evening free.

Welcoming place.Attended dance classes & volunteered @ several events here over the last 3 years. The staff is absolutely wonderful @ the main desk. Just be aware of the Elgin st closure, re: parking & traffic issues.
