Basia is the best groomer ever. She’s the only one that makes our dog look good after a groom.

Wonderful quality products, but the real stars are the incredibly helpful staff! Called ahead to see if they’d be able to show me beds (inventory wasn’t on the website and the store was closed for in-store shopping). Went by and had a very pleasant experience with knowledgeable and patient service.

The store is well equipped but more than that the people working there are awesome. Super knowledgeable and kind. They explain everything in detail and answer any concern you may have. Specially for my puppy's first grooming, they were great! Would definitely recommend.

Though a small place, they pack a punch. We found the perfect coat for our JRT with a lot of help from their very friendly and effective staff - who knew there were so many possible sizes? Very effective inventory selection as it seems they have about anything one might need. We're so happy to have them in Westboro!

Service was good but the quality of grooming was mediocre. I took my smallish medium sized dog in for a lion cut (shaved body and legs) and the length of fur on the shaved areas is inconsistent, and her mane is very asymmetrical on her back. The photos sort of show the issues but she doesn't really sit still for photos, she thinks you just want to give her love....

Neighborhood pet shop in Westboro, Ottawa. Also offers grooming services and best of all on some days walk-in mail trims. You have to check the schedule on line to know which days and hours in any given week but it's great. The stall know dogs well and don't cream out when the stress of a grooming results in a PE on the ship floor. The just clean it up. No judgement of either pretty or owner. That is great to see.

cute little shop, you can tell the staff really care and love what they do. the groomers are so kind and gently with the dogs, and staff treat your pet like their own. they remember their regulars names, it feels like a family. amazing services, amazing products, always exceeds my expectations.

Really just a fantastic pet shop. As a first time cat owner, I was nervous about a lot of things but the girls here have been incredibly helpful with loads of advice. The product selection is a little on the small side, but they cover all the bases. The drop-in nail trims are also a godsend for me and my squirmy cat who won’t sit still for a second.

You’ll find the kindest, most wonderful animal loving people there. The grooming is a little on the expensive side, but they provide an excellent service and really put in the effort to make you and your dog fill good. They also have great tips on all aspects of dog’s health and training. We’ve been going there for 5 years and truly recommend them.

I am so impressed by the customer service I received today! I phoned with some questions about dry cat food and was thankful that the staff member was incredibly kind, patient, and knowledgeable. We have our mini golden doodle groomed by Jenna here and she’s the best! Our dog does not like getting brushed, cut, etc but Jenna always works her magic and she looks great. Would highly recommend!

I searched around for a place that knew how to do a wheaten terrier traditional groom and this place was highly recommended. We've had two trims there now and Basia has done a great job with him both times. I will be going back regularly!

Best place we’ve been in the Ottawa/Gatineau area. Very kind, considerate, and polite staff. My dog is a little skittish, and they always let me hold her while they trim her nails. Plus, my pooch rates their Benko sticks a 10/10. :) Highly recommend Masters N Dogs.

We get our dogs nails cut here regularly. They're quick and it is less than $20. Lots of good pet gear and great dog foods.

I LOVE this pet store. LOVE it. I was a customer for at least 7 years and I never went elsewhere. I never had any issues and the staff and the owner are INCREDIBLE!!! OMG. the amount of amazing valuable advice I got from them. I even won a contest here at some point. One employee brought the food to my car once because i was struggling to carry it... They always remember my dog's name. Now I live in mtl and I cant get my food there anymore... it is a pure regret! I notice the difference in customer service from the other pet store I go to now, and I swear, this place is not unbeatable.

Such a caring staff! We wanted to get our Italian greyhound off of his puppy kibble and onto adult food. The staff walked us through several options we could consider. After buying one option that didn’t end up doing well with his stomach, we called back and they said that they’d refund the purchase and donate the rest of the unfinished kibble to a dog shelter! Then they proceeded to give us several samples of other dog food options so we could do a taste test at home. Ultimately, our little guy loved one of the samples and we went back to buy a bag. This is TRUE customer service and care for animal wellbeing. Well done! 👏

We've got our food (Fromm, so good) here for both the dog and cats for years. We also get nail trims done here. The price is great for Fromm (cheaper than places around it, too), and the staff is super friendly!

My partner and I did not have a good experience. This was the first time we visited Masters N Dogs as our usual groomer (Barking Barber) is booked until the new year. Having convenient walk-in hours, we brought our dog over on a weekend afternoon to have his nails trimmed. The groomer quickly placed him on the table, tethered his harness, and grabbed his back paws forcefully, holding it high where our dog started growling, showing signs of discomfort. Instead of pausing, the groomer continued to hold his back paws up in the air while our dog continued to growl at an agitated state. Our dog started moving, trying to free his leg all the while growling. The groomer then told our dog to stop moving, and proceeded to muzzle him, who instantly became terrified for the groomer to finish cutting his nails. The other groomers we have been to have taken their time (i.e., a couple of minutes more) and have never let our dog become that stressed and agitated to the point of growling. I have never seen him handled so forcefully. I am very dissatisfied that the groomer continued to agitate our dog and was essentially manhandling him while he was in distress. We understand that a growling dog is not what groomers want to deal with, but we felt this could have gone differently if the groomer gave the dog a break instead of forcefully continuing to cut his nails. Other groomers we have been to have taken their time to cut his nails, without him ever growling. The job was done but it felt so rushed (the groomer finished in 2-3 minutes) and stressful that it was an unpleasant experience. We will not be going back again.

Amazing little shop! Staff are always friendly, helpful, and go above and beyond the call of duty. Selection is stellar especially considering the small space and whatever they don't have they will often offer to special order in. Couldn't recommend more. The groomers are amazing as well, $12 for a nail trim is amazing and super speedy and efficient. Always a pleasure shopping here.

Today I took my puppy and walked 45 minutes to the store to get a nail trim for him . I was sent away because I didn’t have an appointment and didn’t realize that there was limited availability and appointments required. There was nobody in the store at the time and I thought that somebody would be able to quickly do this but no. Then I was told there is no availability till March 7th. I will have to take my business somewhere else and when I take it somewhere else I stay there

The last time my dog was groomed there, the cut was very uneven. I decided to go back regardless but let them know that I wasn’t happy with the last cut, and that I wanted a different groomer. I very pleasant and just wanted to make an appointment with someone else. I called 3 times in total in the last two and a half weeks and was basically told that this is not unusual (not true, I have been promptly called back previously). I asked for a manager to please call me. No one called me back. I am appalled at this treatment of me as a regular customer. They have now lost my business.

Worst groom my dog has gotten. He's a giant breed, and still a puppy, so I get that he can be difficult to deal with, but if a groomer isn't comfortable handling him then they should tell me and I'll go somewhere else. When I got him back he had chunks of fur that weren't trimmed, his ears weren't cleaned, and his nails weren't trimmed. Still cost me over $100. Very unimpressed.

My pup and I love this spot! The girls have always been so helpful when purchasing new products/food, and my dog always looks terrific after getting groomed. Grooming prices are also SUPER reasonable (especially considering their location!)

Great store however had my dog measured for a chilly dog jacket and they did not measure properly. The jacket was too short. Expensive jacket. Subsequently had my dog measured by chilly dog at pet expo and she was a size up.

Had a fantastic experience here tonight! We brought in our dog to get winter gear for him. The woman working was very informative, excellent with out dog and helped us get him all decked out. Plus, the coat and boots are the perfect size. Love this place and will definitely be back!

Love this place. They do an excellent job grooming our dog, and have a ton of really cool Canadian products for pets. We got a great collar for a reasonable price. I reccomend Jenna for grooming. She gives us exactly what we want every time.

High quality work. Very professional groomers. This is our go to groomers after trying many others. Only downside is that it's a bit pricy (70$). But it's definitely worth it!
