They tell you it will be ready in a week then when you pick it up, it's not ready and they didn't bother to call!!! Pant hem and tuck costs over $45!. Won't go back.

Fyi: they've moved from Preston to just down the street, end of Adeline St,really glad they stayed in the neighborhood as they are always exceptional. I've brought in several pants and even shirts and t-shirts to be hemmed, always get great friendly service and quick turn around. Last time my pants were ready within 2-3 days.

Vivian is absolutely amazing, she altered my prom dress and has also worked on clothing for my mom. She always does an amazing job and is the friendliest in town, I definitely recommend Dows Lake Tailoring.

Drove by one day because I live in the area and decided to pop in to get a zipper fixed and taper a pair of skinny jeans - Vivian helped me and was very sweet. The repair took about 5 days (I wasn't in a huge rush) but when I got the jeans back they looked like new and had never been touched. I'll definitely be coming back with more items in the future. The prices, service and quality are fantastic :)

I visited here two years ago to have a dress basically reconstructed. I had purchased the dress at a consignment store and it was clearly custom made for the original owner. I had such a great experience getting it remade for me here with boning and everything. It was a complex alteration that was done beautifully. I will be bringing my four bridesmaids dresses here to be altered soon!

Go here for dry cleaning only. DO NOT DROP OFF CLOTHES FOR HEMMING OR ALTERATION. Turnaround for a pair of hemmed pants was over a week, and then it was late by two additional days. No reason or apology given. The price for pant hemming was also too high. $20+ to hem the bottoms. Full transparency.

Excellent service and quality work. I switched jobs and was looking for a new tailor, since then, I've brought in many shirts for alterations and the result is always excellent. Vivian takes the time to determine the best options and has done amazing even with the more challenging jobs.

I can't say enough about Vivienne and Dow's Lake Tailoring. I lost over 20 lb of weight, and shrunk my midsection from 38 in to 34 in. Needless to say, I had a wardrobe of suits, trousers and shirts that needed to be altered. Dow's Lake Tailoring did a top shelf job with all of my adjustments, at a very fair cost. Highly recommended.

She does her best to get things ready within the timeline you need it and will otherwise tell you if it's not possible. 5 out of 5 stars. I brought a dress to Vivian that I wanted to wear to a wedding. Vivian did an amazing job shortening the dress and lengthening the sleeves. She made very helpful suggestions for the length and added a little flounce to the sleeves that made the dress look absolutely beautiful! Thank you Vivian!

So impressed with the service of this little shop! We were there for my daughter's wedding dress.

I chose this tailor based on the many positive reviews and was very disappointed by the alterations. Had a pair of dress pants hemmed and the sleeves of a shirt dress shortened. Stitching was sloppy for both. Attached photos show where the stitching missed the pieces of fabric being sewn together and only one piece of the fabric ended up with stitches. Feels like the tailor just rushed this job. The two stars are for the correct length. Will not be coming back. Edit (response to owner): I've added a photo of the payment record. I handed in the invoice when I picked up my items and don't have the order number anymore, but hope there's enough info to help your investigation.

The best place in town for alterations. I brought my wedding dress here and they were so detail oriented and thorough. My experience was so positive, my husband brought his wedding suit here too. I can’t recommend them enough!!! We will be back!

I came to them with a specific non standard repair request to repair stitching on my skns school bag and they knocked it out of the park. It looks better than "factory", the price was reasonable and they didn't shy away from something they don't normally do.

Repaired the zipper on my sweater. Never had tailoring done so i cant say much about the price but she was lovely, my order was ready on time, no complications, and a perfect zipper fix! Would def go back.

I brought a dress here to get altered at the end of February and it was ready within a week. The woman in the shop was very nice and did a great job on the dress. I also found it to be affordable.

Very good experience from here. She did a great job with the 4 pants I gave her. One was regular jeans, another was selvedge denim, and 2 dress pants - which all came out great. She was very nice and it finished in a timely matter. I would definitely visit again.

My girlfriend got her bridesmaids dress tailored here. The price was reasonable and the service was impeccable! Even when the clasp on the dress broke a few days after picking it up, she brought it back here and the repair was made on the spot and at no extra cost!

I brought in a sweater which had a number of holes and it was repaired as good as new! Other tailors said they wouldn't even work on it, but dows lake tailoring did a fantastic job at a great price. The service is also very friendly! Highly recommend coming here.

I have patroned Dowes Lake Tailoring multiple times from alterations on a high end trench to tailoring a pair of Japanese selvedge denim. Every time I've gone they have surpassed my needs and gave excellent customer service. My favourite tailor in town!

So much cheaper for dry cleaning than nearby alternatives (by half) and excellent service. Highly recommended
