Was there before opening (first walk in patient) and had to wait two hours only to be told to book an appointment somewhere else. I explained my issue to the nurse so she could have easily known they would not be able to help instead of having me sit in a room for so long and taking time away from people who could actually get help. They gain 1 star because I got to practice sketching...

DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME WITH THIS COMPANY!!! I booked an appointment for 2:40 and waited 4.5 hours so I left. It said on the website that they take care of walk ins in between appointments. But they don’t. False advertising. Plus the clinic closed before I even got to be seen WITH AN APPOINTMENT!!! Save your energy and go elsewhere. Seriously. If I could give this place 0 stars I would.

Fairly short wait time; quick and easy consultation; attentive and friendly physician; detailed information and options given. I couldn’t find a restroom though, but that’s somewhat trivial of a complaint really. All in all painless and positive experience. Would not hesitate to recommend!

I went there on july 11 around 12pm The lady working at reception don’t know where she is working and what kind of people coming there for help. The person coming there already needs medical help and not well. And receive that kind of attitude and rude behaviour. She wasn’t even sure if they will be open tomorrow or not. Her reply was WE ARE CLOSED AND I DO NOT KNOW ANYTHING Than what she was doing there if she don’t know anything. Atleast she could behave herself or talk nicely with a sick person even if she was not sure about timing.

I had a great experience with refilling and adjusting my medications. I didn't have to wait too long to be seen. The place was clean and taken care of. Jessica McGrath and the staff were very kind and helpful. I would definitely recommend going here!

Horrible, this place does more harm than good. Health services in Canada are going down the toilet.

They didn't give me my refund of $175 for the PCR test although they told me by email that the refund process will take up to 7 business days. Today it's been more than a month since they said it will take up to 7 business days and they don't even respond to my emails! Please note that I had an experience with another PCR test clinic (which is not appletree) that they didn't give me the result on time and they issued me the refund immidiately! Therefore, I don't recommend dealing with appletree when it comes to PCR tests! **Story: They deal with LifeLabs for the PCR tests. My name on the PCR result didn't match my name on the passport although the nurse at appletree assured me that I will have my name as per the passport when I asked her before taking the PCR test. I contacted appletree immidiately by replying to the PCR result email but they couldn't fix my name and as a result I missed my flight. I sent appletree a complaint with all details via their main website and they responded the next day that I should receive my refund of $175 in 7 business days. I waited two weeks but still I haven't received my refund. I contacted them politely multiple times via emails but there was no response from them, so I called them on the phone and they said they escalated the issue internally and I should hear back in 24 hours but again I didn't receive any response after 24 hours!! And I still didn't receive my refund! **** Update: I have received my full refund after two months after following up multiple times by phone and emails.

If I could give 0 stars I would. The kiosk to check in isn't working and absolutely nobody is checking to make sure patients don't need help. It took over an hour and we ended up having to call the general line to try to get help, they called the office and they said they aren't taking patients anymore even though we had an appointment and it's their fault. Absolutely horrible service. Update, they threatened to call the police on me because I knocked on the counter and called to the back saying the kiosk was broken. I was told the situation and understood, while waiting for a cab the guy came out and threatened to call the police.

Appletree loses test results. Don't bother calling them - they don't answer their phones regardless of the extension that you select. OHIP needs to cut this firm off as they are of no net benefit to society.

Terrible experience. Dr (unfortunately i have lost her name or i would post it) was uncaring and invalidating. DO NOT use this clinic. Unfortunately this poorly run clinic affects the Pharmasave connected to it.

I had my PCR test done 4 days before my flight from this clinic. On the day I was flying I called them as I didn’t receive the test results and they told me the sample guy didn’t came on time and we are unable to provide you with a results. I was shocked and disappointed as there was no communication made. I missed my flight because of that and had to pay 1000$ to airlines for cancellation. I’d definitely not recommend apple tree to anyone. Please stay away from this scam.

I booked an appointment online for a telemedical appointment .(was very please I could do this). It was for a referral - a service they offer via virtual appointments. The wait beyond my time was acceptable - about 45 minutes. However, once I saw the medical person, she informed me that I would need to see the doctor for the service their website listed as being available virtually. She offered up no explanation why this was. She did suggest I go to another clinic that might have a doctor five hours alter across the city. When I asked if I could get an appointment for that she gave me the very help shoulder shrug. Needless to say I was extremely disappointed and will avoid AppleTree for the foreseeable future.

seen lots of negative comments prior to visiting them for the first time so I was prepared for a bumpy experience, but stuff was very nice and emphatic and system is quite efficient. One thing that was not quite clear though is how they mix walk-in patients and appointments . Turns out they are kinda mixing them, so if you made an appointment be prepared that you may still need to wait for a bit, but your name should be called

Went here in August 2018. There were about 3 people in the waiting room , I waited over 2 hours. The doctor was a young white guy. He was very cold and made me feel uncomfortable the whole time. After not really listening he prescribed me a hydrocortisone cream and refused to refer me to a dermatologist which I ultimately ended up needing. The receptionist very nice though. She taught another patient and I how to use a ”naloxone” kit during the wait time.

Saw the Nurse Practioner J. McGrath today, she was absolutely phenomenal, was busy, but did not make me feel rushed, she addressed my concerns and gave me a requisition for an ultrasound, I presented to the emerg department the day before and was entirely dismissed for valid concerns which she completely understood and provided the proper examination for to determine the next steps. Will definitely be coming back, I no longer feel like I need a family physician!

Terrible service. The nurse Jessica Mcgrath was unprofessional and was rushing through the entire appointment. Did not listen to all the issues and printed out some google information and handed out the papers with no proper plan of care, tests or treatment. Although I have OHIP they charged me for the appointment. Please avoid this place.

I assure you that this place is a failure and does not respect people’s time. In addition, they ignore the reviewers and do not respect our time...I will not return here again. I forgot to say that I waited for the doctor in the room when they admitted me for more than half an hour?!?! Where will the doctor come from? From the moon or another planet! Why all this delay and lack of respect for my time?

Being able to see someone virtually is convenient, but they now charge $40 for a simple sick note. $40 for a medical note is obscenely and unnecessarily expensive.

Better to go to regular Walking Clinic. Apple...tre is simply careless. You paying money for service, but they cannot even inform you (for what they took my contracts?) about your results - need to book appointment with doctor to know your results and prescription. 👎

Good clinic, staff were nice and quick. They even call when you are out. Wait times are not long.

I have successfully used Appletree in other parts of Ottawa, however as of July 2023 this branch seems to be messed up. The system allowed me to book for a service that was not available at this branch. Then when they tried to get hold of me to fix the problem, they just left a garbled message from a number that showed up as spam on my phone. Plus it is relatively hard to find as it is not easily from the road.

Not able to give referral for fracture? Anti aging? All those could have been done through telemedicine, but they refused to see me

I went for a referral for surgery for my tailors bunion and sixth toe for which I have problem since birth. I showed XRays to the doctor and he decided everything is normal just in less than a minute without asking me anything as it was telemedicine. Moreover, I had an appointment but had to wait for more than an hour.

Went here couple of times with a booked appointments. Never waited less the 2 hours. What are appointments for if you can't take care of that many?

  • 1/5 Henry D. 2 years ago on Google
Had an appointment booked for 1:10 and arrived 15 minutes beforehand. Over an hour and a half wait, even with the appointment. What is the point of having appointments if you can't keep the schedule? Disappointed with the service delivery.

Dictor saw me for a less than a minute. Asked me nothing. Then charged me 30$ for the referral. I left there disgusted but with the referral. The ON gov paid him 75$ for that. I have had many positive experiences with Appletree, this was not one of them.

First time going to this location and I will definitely be back. I've never used the telemedicine service before and I figured why not try it out. The minute I registered and sat down, I was called in immediately. I was in and out in within 10 mins or less - it was great! I expected a 30 minute to an hour wait so I was ecstatic when it was in and out super fast. It's convenient to go here as well because the pharmacy is right there! I can get everything done in one shot and not have to drive somewhere else just to fill my prescription. Everyone from the clinic and pharmacy were great!

Terrible service espically for people with non-english names, they are not carefull with spelling your name correctly. I had to take a COVID test here and they mispelled my name, I immediately emailed them to correct it but it took them a week to do it, and by then the test was invalid. Waste of money and poor online customer support.

I've gone to this location a couple times for online doctors appointments with the in house medical assistant. The Doctor in training at this location is among the most professional and friendly gentlemen I have ever had the pleasure of having an appointment with and put me at ease with his good sense of humour and reassurance. Highly recommend if you need to see a doctor for non emergency.

Went in with my wife to renew her prescriptions she has had for over 20 years. This clinic has renewed them before and this time they refused and the doctor would not even talk with her. This was the same doctor who renewed her prescription three months prior. Wasted our time, our energy and our money. The privatization of our public healthcare started with Appletree and Appletree continues to degrade our quality of care and life all the while billing the province for visits they refuse. Worst Healthcare company ever. They are taking part in social murder. They will recommend MAiD for mental health issues and refuse to provide medication for them. Practically murderers.
