Search no further. This was a trip of a lifetime. So much care was taken to help us experience Morocco beyond the tourist traps and truly connect with locals. It left us wanting to return time and time again. Roaming Camels Morocco were professional and friendly from the first communication, through designing our 14 day itinerary until we returned home. Travelling with a passionate guide, Mustapha, who is so willing to share his knowledge, enriched our experience so much more. Helping us to understand the culture, history and the current issues in society. Dreaming of my next adventure to the magical lands of Morocco.

Morocco- such a vibrant and eclectic country - it’s culture, traditions, food, architecture and most importantly it’s wonderfully warm and welcoming people are best experienced by a local as your guide. Mustapha’s local knowledge creates a unique insight . From the bustling medinas to the pristine silence of a desert camp such awareness of his country is as colourful an experience as Morocco is itself. To live the life of the guide who knows the cafes enjoyed by locals or which nomad camp or mountain village to stop for a minted tea prepared by a villager eager to welcome and share their culture is a rare opportunity for the adventure traveller. Morocco - more than once in a lifetime experience - a country to be enjoyed again and again.

Mustapha (founder of Roaming Camels) is unbeatable as a guide to his homeland. As a Berber who grew up in Roses Valley, he shares his personal experiences and connections, as well as providing a historical and cultural perspective. He is extremely sensitive to the needs and whims of his clients and does his best to accommodate and exceed expectations. You will have unique experiences that blend adventure, outdoor activity, art and crafts, nature and city. You will not find a better guide to expose you to the many charms of Morocco. Plus he is a super sweet guy!

I had a fantastic guide (Mariam) and driver (Hakim) during my visit to Morocco. Transportation to and from the airport was very smooth and easy. Communication with Kathy and Mustapha was easy and very helpful. I absolutely recommend this local travel company and would use them again on my next trip to Morocco!!

Can I give 10 stars? Private tour, curated experience, friendly/safe/prompt driver, comfortable / plush hotels for the perfect end to long days. A magical trip which was a birthday gift to my husband who wanted to go nowhere more than Morocco. We are well-traveled and this is one of the best trips we've ever taken. You can trust owners Kathi and Mustapha to help you chart your course through Morocco, choose excellent accommodations, and consult you when they have questions about your preferences. We had three separate walking tours (Fes, Ait Ben Haddou, Marrakesh), all outstanding with excellent English speakers. Our companion throughout our trip, our driver, will remain nameless because he graciously hosted us at his home on our last night which made us feel really special and welcome in Morocco. This country is a very special part of the world -- you must go. And go with Roaming Camels, aptly named for the ultimate sunset camel ride through the Sahara!

Our 8-day trip to Morocco exceeded every expectation! From prompt and helpful pre-trip planning with Kathi to unparalleled concierge-service and curated itineraries from Mustapha from the first moment we landed in Marrakesh, we experienced seamless transfers, professional and informative day guides and an amazing driver, Redone, who was so much more than just a driver for us. Apart from perfectly-curated and custom itineraries, Roaming Camels was so flexible in accommodating any last minute changes and helped us problem solve anything that emerged along the way. The accommodations were all beautiful, charming, impeccably clean and comfortable and the itinerary was the perfect selection of cultural, scenic, historic and adventurous options (sunrise hot air balloon). The piece de resistance is the camel/desert experience! I cannot recommend Roaming Camels Morocco enough! The stellar service, the attention to detail, the professionalism, the quality of transportation and accommodation and above all, the leadership (Mustapha) and staff were all truly phenomenal!

We wanted to go to Morocco for our honeymoon, without much prior planning since wedding planning was the biggest thing on our plate. We chose Roaming Camels as a recommendation and they went above and beyond. Mustapha and Kathi were excellent at planning an amazing itinerary for us and were great communicators before and throughout the trip. We had our own driver too, also named Mustafa and he was an amazing person, and a great driver as well. He became a friend to us on our journey. We cannot recommend Roaming Camels enough!

We LOVED our trip with Roaming Camels. Our family spent 8 days exploring Morocco with our amazing guides. We visited Marrakech, Agafay Desert, Imlil, Taroudant, Agadir, and Taghazout. First, the pre-trip planning with Kathi was excellent - she really listened to our interests and helped us create a custom itinerary that was perfect. In Marrakech, Mustapha took such good care of us - we loved our time there. Mustapha was at the airport to pick us up and take us to our beautiful Riad - then we had a delightful walk around the Medina. We spent the next two days experiencing the city (cultural tour, food tour, pottery class for some of our group, hammam, AMAZING food). Roaming Camels/Mustapha were excellent pre-planners, but also helped us add experiences while we were there. We loved it! After leaving Marrakech, our national guide (Ilyas) and driver (Mohammad) could not have been better. We truly felt like they were part of our family. "Camping" in the desert, riding quad bikes and camels, and waking up early for the desert sunrise were highlights. We went to Imlil in the High Atlas Mountains next. The mountains were stunning - we hiked, had amazing food (again), and stayed in a truly exceptional Kasbah (Kasbah du Toubkal). We left the mountains and went to Taroudant - enjoyed our beautiful garden oasis (Dar al Hossoun), some shopping in the Medina, and a really enjoyable meal. Finally, we spent several days at the beach (we stopped in Agadir on our way to Taghazout which was SO fun). Two of our group took a surf lesson in Taghazout and the rest of us just enjoyed the beach/pool/walking through the town. The Radisson Blu was fantastic. On a more serious note, we needed to seek medical care for one member of our group during our trip. Ilyas, Mohammad, and Mustapha made sure we got the help we needed (on a Sunday!) and we were so thankful (everything worked out just fine!) Overall, I really cannot say enough positive things about Roaming Camels - Thank you Kathi, Mustapha, Ilyas, and Mohammad (and all of the other guides who helped us experience this amazing country).

Cannot recommend this lovely bunch enough!! They planned and delivered the most amazing, completely customised trip around Morocco. No request was too big or small, so accommodating. We developed an itinerary that took us all over the country with excellent guides and so many hidden gems. This is a beautiful country that everyone should visit, and if planning a trip contact this team to ensure you will have the best experience

We had the most wonderful adventure in Morocco, traveling around a large part of the country. Mustapha was a great guide who exhibits a passion for his people and country that makes it very personal. We learned so much about the history of the country, the Berber tribes and geography. Activities varied from fine dining to having mint tea with a local family; walking through the maze of a medina to riding camels and sleeping in the desert. By the end of 2 weeks we felt like family! Highly recommended!

My wife and I had an awesome experience with Roaming Camels on a 4 day desert tour, which we customized to have 2 days in the desert to really enjoy it (which I highly recommend). It was our first time to Morocco, and we aren't usually the type to take guided tours but decided to pre-book the tour online as we knew this would be a highlight (usually back packing on our own). We decided to spoil ourselves and we are so happy we did. Our guide/driver Yahya was very educational and friendly and we learned so much about the country that we never would have in a group setting. To top it all off Kathi and Mustapha were very professional and easy to communicate with before and during the trip, and had some of the best pricing we found. Only good things to say about these guys (which is probably why they only have good reviews, which basically no other company had after a LOT of research). Will recommend them to friends and family that travel to Morocco in the future for sure.

Touring Morocco with a local guide is a MUST. Especially Mustapha who is so much fun! He has a ton of knowledge about the history of his country. He knows people and can arrange for lunch or dinner with a local family which is a very special experience. We did several of these and they were delicious and abundant and the families so lovely. Mustapha knows what areas to go to, which guides to hire and is willing to do anything you ask him within reason. We loved our night in the Sahara desert. A once in a lifetime experience. We loved our stay in the Atlas Mountains and enjoyed a beautiful hike past Berber villages. Mustsapha also knows which Riads or hotels give you the most authentic experience. He knows about the markets and which vendors are genuine. Mustapha opened up his heart to us and we feel we will have a life long friend because of it. We admire him and appreciate all he did to make our experience the best. Don't hesitate, book your travel to Morocco with Roaming Camels and you will have the best experience of your life!

What can I say other than ROAMING CAMELS WAS THE BEST!! I mean REALLY! From the moment they picked us up for a three day trip from Fez to Marrakech I knew we had made the right decision to go with this spectacular team. Our group of four piled into a very clean (new) tour van piloted by Mohammad (Driver) and Ali (Guide). Mohammed was a great driver, even though the terrain (on and off road) was sometimes a bit sketchy due to construction, erosion and, well ...Africa. Ali was a fantastic guide, engaging in conversation, dropping nuggets of wisdom and information about the places we saw, the people, the culture and just about everything else we could throw at him. We stoped at many notable attractions along the winding roads through the mountains as we made our way to the dessert for a sunset camel ride and onward. Monkeys, markets, movie locations, canyons, high dessert, dunes, overlooks, mountains, ancient city's, stunning sunsets and plenty of espresso... what more could you ask for?! At the end of each day we would circle with Ali and he would make sure we were having the experience we wanted, even making adjustments to fit in requests we had, to satisfy our traveling desires. Most of our group had been to Africa before and all of our group had been on many tours in foreign country's. This was by far the best that we have collectively experienced. The roaming Camels crew was less like a tour and more like a group of friends visiting a long lost pal who lives in a new and enchanting land full of rich history and intrigue. Every group we encountered, every place we stayed reinforced my inclination that this is a tour group dedicated to delivering a genuinely unique experience. Just great people to see the wonders of Morocco with!

What an adventure - Fes to Marrakech via the Sahara desert. The whole team took great care of us. Khalid, our guide, was flexible and accomodating. He made sure we had everything we needed. My family and I were fasting so this was greatly appreciated. The drive was absolutely stunning. In just 3 days we saw the snow capped peaks of the Atlas Mountains, the sandy dunes of the Sahara desert, markets, monkeys, an oasis, a valley filled with date palms and much more. Along the way we stopped to take in the unreal views but also to see the rich history and culture of the many towns and villages. The hospitality and kindness we experienced on this trip made it truly unique and memorable. I can not wait to come back again and stay a little longer.

Our family of five people( 2 adults and 3 boys) did a three day desert tour from Marakech to Fez in March of 2022 with Roaming Camels. We had an incredible experience from start to finish. Our guide Mustapha was very enthusiastic and made us feel like family. I would recommend Roaming Camels to friends and family looking to travel to Morocco.

We were visiting Morocco from Los Angeles, CA, USA and booked two trips. The 3 day desert camel trip from Fez to Marrakech , and the day trip Marrakech to Essaouira. Both trips exceeded my expectations by far!!! We had Mohammed as a driver and Ali as tour guide on the desert trip. Both were phenomenal. Mohammed was an exceptional driver and Ali was very knowledgeable about the history of Morocco! We had the best time with them, the camel ride was a once in a lifetime adventure and the luxury camp was so fun! We had a wonderful dinner and danced to the drums. The van was clean and very comfortable. The day trip to Essaouira was with Mustafa and he was so knowledgeable and accommodating!!! I got to hold a baby goat at the Argan tree ❤️ and we had a blast riding horses (they also have camels) up and down the beach! They are very detail oriented and not a thing was missed! I would DEFINITELY travel with them again!!!! Best part of our 2 weeks in Morocco!!!!

Mustapha was an amazing guide and he went out of his way to ensure that I had the best holiday experience possible. He showed me a glimpse of the real Morocco but it was his knowledge and passion for his country which really allowed me to fall in love with it. I would recommend Roaming Camels services to everyone looking to explore this amazing country.

Travelled with many tour groups over the years, but Roaming Camel Morocco beats them all with exceptional planning. Giving a real insight and taste to the country. Places visited are lively, full of character and colourful. All guides and respectful at all time

A great adventure with an amazing guide. Having a Moroccan with us all the time to explain the culture, customs and history made it a rich experience. Morocco is safe, relaxed and magical

I'd never been to Africa but was eager to give it a go. When a trip to Kenya didn't pan out, Morocco presented itself so a friend and I packed our bags. A 12 day tour jammed packed with sights, sounds, tastes and adventure has left me with a lifetime of incredible memories. Not everyone can say they've camped in the Sahara desert, saw the world's first bank, goats in argan trees, or see renowned handcrafted ceramics from Fes being made. Roaming Camels Morocco was perfect for me: professional, personable, relaxed and accommodating. With a flexible itinerary, we were able to adapt our journey as we wanted. Our guide and driver were kind and patient and reflected the hospitality that I came to learn is truly Moroccan. I would highly recommend both Morocco as a destination and Roaming Camels Morocco as the tour services to go with.
