It's mainly ruins with a small section that has been done up to show how beautiful it was. I have just recently been to Alhambra so this was very underwhelming but it's worth going to support their cause of refurbishing more of the kasbah.

Kasbah which is less mentioned/famous and the reason is... political. This is an amazingly beautiful kasbah that belongs to the Galway tribe, a tribe that does not receive expression from the kingdom in Morocco, so much so that UNESCO wanted to recognize the place and invest and maintain it, but the government there made it difficult so that it would not be published. Go, you won't regret it. Amazing architecture, stunning handicrafts. A place that is magic

Incredibly serene and surprisingly beautiful place. The deteriorating building exteriors and harsh environment is in stark contrast to the stunning interior tile and woodwork. Must see.

A gem in the middle of nowhere, a beautifully preserved kasbah operated by the locals, it’s definitely a spot worth visiting. Our guide rashid, an insightful and friendly man, who made our visit the most enjoyable. Explained to detail what we needed to know to appreciate and understand this piece of history. We will never forget this place and his hospitality!

Great castle to see. You need to go around with guide Rashid or Azis. Great persons that are very helpful and kind. Speak most popular languages. Beautiful views.

A beautiful, decaying Kasbah, seat of the Glaoui family until their demise. 20dh entrance fee, which is very reasonable once you get to the beautifully-decorated inner rooms, as beautiful as the ones at the Bahia Palace. Easy to find, signposted down a track from the N9. Plenty of parking by the Kasbah itself or on the main road.

This was one of our favorite stops in this area. It was a great tour of a really interesting historical kasbah. Our guide was very friendly and knowledge and had a clear passion for the area and the history.

Beautiful historic place. Pretty views from the top as well as incredibly intricate interiors. Entry is just 15dhs as far as I remember.

This hidden gem is really missed out on most. The kasbah is quite old, and her ruins are very new. No more than 70 years ago it stood still with a ruler there. It's 20MAD to go in but not worth it without some historical context, so I'd recommend a guide (you can find some nearby when driving to it). The interior is quite impressive and well preserved, and you can see from above why it was chosen to be the ruler's location of the area.

Kasbah Telouet was the ancestral home of the Glaoui, Berber lords who controlled the main pass across the High Altas - and thus a lucrative trans-Saharan caravan route - from this fortress. Most of the sprawling, hauntingly evocative complex is crumbling and off-limits to visitors today, but the primary residential spaces have been better preserved. The quality of their decoration attests to the immense wealth that the Glaoui accumulated, particularly during the French protectorate period.

Actually a really nice kasbah in Telouet on a small detour road between Marrakech and Ouzzarzate. Part of it has been renovated. It's same owner as Bahia Palace in Marrakech, so design is similar. Small fee to enter. Restaurant closeby also. Recommend stopping for a short walk around.

A must stop on the way to Ait Ben Haddou. Especially the restaurant: great view across the valley from the terrace and great quality food. The Kasbah is worth a quick visit. It’s much more beautiful than what you’d expect from the outside.

Much preferred this place to the Bahia Palace in Marrakesh. The history of it is very interesting and the views are incredible. Amazing to see the state of the place inside and out. Thanks to Abdel Aziz for being our guide! Please take a guide if you go, it is more than worth it.

We did a road trip around Morocco and visited many Kasbahs. This one was the best so far.

Really worth the visit if you are going to or coming from the Ounila valley. The entry cost is 20 MAD. The part of the kasbah that can be visited is quite well preserved. Other parts, however, look like they are about to collapse. If possible, try to get a local guide to better understand the history behind it.

The most beautiful kasbah we had visited that is still in its original state without much retouch and you can still see its glory in the old time through its beautiful zellij tiles and painted wooden ceiling. Entry fee 20 MAD, kids under 12 free.

An incredible place to stay - and stay over. A visit to the Kaaba and the cooperative that runs it is astounding. The village work together in both tourism and farming - the people are very happy to share their knowledge of food, weaving and ceramics . So close to Marrakech and not a tourist bus in sight- we were the only ones in the kasbah ( castle) when we visited today - a hidden gem

Although you can only really visit a few rooms and the roof, this kasbah is a great place to visit. It is in quite a romantic, slightly off the beaten track location, the history (albeit relatively recent) of the Glaoui family is very interesting, it has some of the finest decoration I've seen anywhere in Morocco (including Marrakech and Fes) and the road you travel on to see it between Tizntichka and Ouarzazarte is I think way more beautiful than the alternative main road. It's quite alright in a normal car BTW. Thoroughly recommended. We had a very nice guide too, paying 40MAD for a short tour, which seemed quite reasonable

I really enjoyed driving here through the mountains with a spectacular scenery. The building is well worth a visit with some lovely Islamic architecture inside. A great day.
