Surprisingly underwhelming. This review is for the spa inside the La Mamounia hotel. Some of the other reviews below were incorrectly written here but intended for the hotel. Was excited to come here after hearing about the long-standing reputation of the hotel. My wife and I got their Daypass to come use the spa, pools, and have lunch. The spa has a nice indoor and outdoor pool. Those are the only good things. The indoor hot tub was not hot enough. Tried to take some photos inside the indoor pool area but an attendant said only hotel guests can take photos- guests with day passes can’t take photos. That has never happened to me at any other hotel in the world before, not even at The Royal Mansour which I had went a few days prior. The change room was small and didn’t feel luxurious. The lockers were half-sized so you couldn’t hang up your clothes. There was also only one hanger and no hooks or other cubbies. In terms of the treatment, my wife and I have gone to 5 star hotels for massages all over the world. The massage treatment here was also surprisingly bad. The masseuses were poorly trained and lacked any attention to detail or care. My wife and I had both booked massages so they asked if we wanted to be in same room. We said sure. To start with, they asked if the music was ok when there wasn’t any music playing. There was no health questionnaire which other spas do. They also didn’t ask about areas to focus on. There was no option about massage oils/scents. The most annoying thing though was that throughout the massage they kept whispering to each other and making hand gestures to each other, which we could feel when their hand stopped the massage. In addition to this, they massaged our feet and then afterwards attempted to massage our head and face without washing their hands first. Overall, a really terrible experience and terrible vibe from the staff. Poorly trained. Doesn’t feel like a 5 star hotel. Go to Royal Mansour instead.

Of the three days I spent there, The staff were very unprofessional. They actually told other guessed my personal information, my legal name And where I had landed from, as if I don't understand Arabic. They're so unprofessional and it's such a scam. I must put the positives. It is quiet, beautiful, and peaceful if you don't need to interact with the staff, you will enjoy 😊 The staff members treat that villa As if it's their own private house, and you are invading their space unless they think you are Moroccan or worthful. After 96 countries and hundreds of hotels, I've never experienced such madness, where they change the quality and price as they feel. If you have no need to engage withe staff please do not. It's in the middle of nowhere and there are several teams of people who show up every 12 hours. Please never order the pizza which made my son very sick the Prices changed per hour..There is one team that were the least disrespectful. The Eunice and Fatima. Yes, the grounds are beautiful, The staff Presented themselves so unwelcoming, Most of the staff went out of their way to tell me that I and my family were not welcomed. So unwelcomed Unless you are Moroccan or French. Make sure that your skin tone is appropriate for them. I've never felt so disrespected by the lack of professionalism of them. Was the most horrific experience of my life, and I've traveled so far to 96 countries. You can actually review there reviewers or visitors of that place about their bizarre money practices and their bizarre behavior. Simply put, they know that you're in the middle of nowhere. They know that you are new, and they know that they can take full advantage. Example: anywhere in Morocco, you can get a plate of food. From 1€to €5 I respect the hustle. There, you will pay £15 and €50.+ for food. Water is £2.5 And if you're bringing any liquids from outside, they will charge you a corking fee, £15 never heard of that. They make sure that there is no refrigerator nothing in your room, so you must spend your money there, which all items are outrageously priced I respect the hustle. It was less about the Money and more about the disrespect and the unprofessionalism of the staff. The staff great warmly the people who speak their language. In the morning at breakfast, they go to those who look like them and ask. What do you want and then they just leave you sitting there, and then if you call them, they look at you as if we're annoying them. I've never taken so much time to send a post a review. The grounds receive a full 5 star. The staff received a full 0 star. And if you're spending time somewhere, the staff makes your environment. A 10 or a 0. Positive the pool is amazing, the grounds are amazing, and it's the cleanest place I've seen Example: I was quoted £5 for a beer or a glass of wine. And then when I go and check my bill at £6. I respect the hustle. If you're coming from a country where you Have a full breakfast of meat, eggs, potatoes, bread, and care. This is not the place you will have a breakfast of breads, jams cakes and Honey maybe. £2.5 for a bottle of water, tea or coffee. £30 for 2 Tagine. There is so much more I could log here, yet, you actually read all the reviews which I did not.

5 star experience. From the moment you walk through the gates, you’re welcomed with smiley faces and the service is excellent. Incredible hammam and decor. Customer service is great. You can lounge at the pool too. Had a great time.

Hammam was excellent and service was very good. Pool access was expensive for what it is given the lack of changing rooms and facilities

I had the pleasure of visiting the Spa at La Mamounia Hotel and I can highly recommend it. The hotel is considered one of the most beautiful in Africa, and the Spa definitely contributes to this reputation. The staff at the Spa is extremely professional and friendly. Sofia, in particular, treated me to one of the best massages of my life. Her technique and intuition for my needs were simply outstanding. I felt rejuvenated afterwards. The Spa rooms are beautifully designed and offer a relaxed atmosphere. The decor is tasteful and luxurious. You immediately feel comfortable and can leave behind the stresses of everyday life. The Spa offers a variety of treatments and services, all of which are of the highest quality. From massages to facials to body wraps, there is a suitable treatment for everyone's needs. I can wholeheartedly recommend the Spa at La Mammonmia Hotel. It is a place of relaxation and well-being, where you can be pampered from head to toe. Thank you to the entire team for this dreamy Spa experience.

Worse experience ever! I was very excited to get this hammam at La Mamounia since the first day I decided to visit Morocco. But what a disappointment, I feel like everything was rushed, the staff was just giving orders such as go shower, go in the steam room etc. I have done Hammam bath before in Canada, but am sorry to say it was more enjoyable in Canada than here. I feel like you don’t get what you paid for. I feel like I spent more time in the steam room than getting the bath done, I am sure I could have gotten a better service and experience if I went to some other riads or even souks. Worse experience ever. I couldn’t even tip them because I was very unsatisfied and disappointed by their services.

One of the highest rated hotels in Africa, ala. Morocco, by Conde Nast Traveler magazine voting by travelers. Having been there, I wholeheartedly concur. Amenities, ambience, history are rarely matched anywhere. Of course, the prices are stratospheric as well.

THIS PLACE IS A JOKE!! Avoid. We were very much looking forward to this spa experience - booked Royal treatment to get what we thought would be the best of it. And it was one of worst experiences I had. The spa itself feels tired, not luxurious and with dirty spots on the wall, the hamam space feels small, the service is rushed and not pampering at all. The massage was a huge disappointment too - the technique was wrong - either painful or super light - face massage left my face feeling discomfort. Far from being relaxing. I wanted to stop it. At the end I got a gift - a WET glove which was used to wash me in a nylon bag so I had to walk with it in my hand as I could not put it in the bag. How luxurious! We paid 500 euros for what is THE WORST spa experience I had. I am surprised how bad it was vs what you can expect from award-wining hotel and feel RIPPED OFF!!
