Very nice little zoo. Clean and orderly. If you want to feed animals, there is a machine there that only accepts 50 cent coins. No other food is allowed. Unfortunately, you are not informed at the checkout that you need 50 cent coins.

The zoo was average in my opinion, not particularly big, but still a pleasant option for a relaxing trip. One of the positive aspects of the zoo is definitely the price. With an entrance fee of just €5 per person, entry is quite fair and affordable. This gives many visitors access to the different animal species and nature. However, I also have to mention that the park is quite small. There are not as many animal species as in larger zoos, and the facilities could be a little more extensive. Some visitors may therefore miss a greater variety of animals and more opportunities for interaction. Nevertheless, the Fauna Solingen Zoo offers a pleasant atmosphere and the opportunity to observe various animal species. The enclosures are neatly designed and there are informative boards that provide interesting information about the animals. Overall, I would describe the Fauna Solingen Zoo as an average option for animal lovers. If you're looking for a budget-friendly trip and don't have too high expectations, you can have a great time here.

The zoo is very nice for young and old visitors. The animals have enough space and are well cared for. The entrance fee is ok.

Super nice zoo. Haven't been there for a long time, but visiting with small children was great, even my son, who is now a teenager, had fun. The zoo is in a great location in the forest, which makes it very pleasant there in warm weather.

Mega beautiful zoo located in the middle of the forest. The park is very clean and really invites you to linger. The animal enclosures are very well maintained and the animals all make a very relaxed impression. If you like, you can feed all the animals that have a green thumbs up on the enclosure for a really small fee of 50ct. Cuddles are also very much enjoyed. Helga the pig even lies on her side so that her stomach can be rubbed. It's the same with the deer.... Pushing and petting are very welcome, but so are the sheep and donkeys... So here you get your cuddle money. We used to be here with our children, who are now in their mid and late 20s, and have now rediscovered the fauna for ourselves. An absolutely great place to unwind. Kind regards from Heiligenhaus to parrots, meerkats, kangaroos and co, we'll be back... With many more 50ct pieces... Oh by the way, the mice are actually dancing on the table here 😂 We only have one question: what does a plastic lizard do in the lizard enclosure? 😂... A fun search game?

A really beautiful park. I have been going here with my kindergarten group for many years and now also privately with my child. What really bothers me now is that you can no longer buy food at the checkout, but only almost at the end of the park and then you need exactly 50 cents. If you go back to the checkout to change money, the lady behind the checkout will also be rude about how it's not an exchange office. Words fail me….

Great little petting zoo where you can stroke and feed a lot of the animals. Was only €5 each to go in and then €1.50 for the food. All the animals are happy and then have plenty of space and look well fed. The staff were walking around checking on the aninals and cleaning enclosures too.

A small but nice zoo. Starting with a very nice cashier who greeted me in a friendly manner. The park is very well maintained and the animals are well housed. You have enough space and the bird aviaries are also well equipped. During my visit I saw carers cleaning the paths and enclosures several times. There is also a building with various terrariums on the complex. These are also very well maintained. It was really fun to watch the animals there. Taking photos is also possible because the glass panes are clean too! If you want to see lions, tigers and the like, you won't find them there. There are small animals, birds, llamas, wild animals, terrarium inhabitants... Nevertheless, it is beautiful there. Entry cost 5 euros. But it was a great experience! There is a playground for children and a snack bar. Since I was there when the doors opened and left at around 12 p.m., I can't say anything about the prices. The zoo is worth a visit!!

Interesting small Zoo in Solingen, great place to bring children. They have a small variety of different animals and the hike there goes through the forest which is nice.

It is always very crowded on the weekends. You are allowed to take dogs with you. There is no entry fee. There are automatic feeders to feed some animals.

As I visited they renewed some enclosures, so I couldn't get the whole experience out of my visit. They have a variety of animals that don't need a lot of space. I am against visiting zoo's. But Fauna is still okay.

Small zoo brilliant for small kids. Several birds and mammals. I felt the Macows are in a very small cage. They need a bigger cage or let them free. Animals looks reasonably happy and did not look too stressed. There was a large cage with no animals, it would be wise to transfer Macows to this cage.

Were there for the first time and it was very full. Some of the animals seemed disturbed. The enclosures seem small and loveless. Parking was a disaster

For families with children, very nice. However, many animals have enclosures that are far too small. The marten already has kennel fever. Sad to see him doing the same laps over and over again. Just like the raccoons.

Really pleasant for a short trip. Meerkats (an attraction for the dog because meerkats are very communicative), goats, pigs, deer (really beautiful animals), llamas or were they alpacas, monkeys, budgies, parrots etc It's worth it for a short trip.

We enjoy coming to the Fauna Zoo with our small children The animals are well cared for and we monitor their behavior. Afterwards we go to the playground and have a little romp.

Nicely done. Is the right thing for small and adult children.

Great for smaller children. Lots of animals that you can also feed and pet. Not too big, so the little ones don't lose motivation and a great playground, even with sand toys. Big disadvantage: only one toilet facility, unless I missed one, and no warm water to wash your hands. People line up because their children have played in the sand and they want to wash their hands - and then there's a lot of screaming because the water is extremely cold.
