I can't believe the conditions that the animals are in this place, dogs sleeping , playing and even eating their own feces. (Their paws were full of feces and the windows were all full of feces Too).We waited a long time to buy a dog here today ,but we couldn't get any because they were all dirty. This is so disappointed . There were so many people working there and no one really care about those poor babies . Feb2022 . I know !! I know you are going to talk to with a management., if you go back and check all reviews , they are a lot talking about how negligent this place is and they answer is the same “ we will talk to management “ feb 2022 and you have done ABSOLUTE NOTHING!!!!!!

Bought a puppy here Sunday sept 18th around 8:30pm, she came home and found out she had blood in her stool. (she used the bathroom within 10 minutes of her being at our house) We had waited a day to see if it was going to be ongoing or if it was just that night. it had ended up getting worse Monday night so we took her back up to petland to complain on Tuesday, they wouldn’t do anything about it, didn’t even offer to pay the vet bills, even tho they KNEW she was sick before sending her home with us. We ended up taking her to our vet and gave them a sample of her stool. turns out she has a very RARE disease (it could possibly kill her) and they said it was caused from spoiled food or bad water. This place is ABSOLUTELY disgusting if you see the conditions they leave their puppies in. We absolutely adore our puppy but will NEVER be returning or buying another dog there again. she is starting to do better which is good. UPDATE! 3/22/23 our puppy (Bambi/ BAM BAM) is doing great now. she was constantly sick with something when we first got her, she finally ended up getting better & now she’s an 9 month old healthy pup! the only bad side about that is we’re pretty sure her growth was delayed, ( during the time she was sick she wasn’t growing, losing weight, & she when she starting getting better she went from an 10wk old to a 5month old in just a little over a month.) alongside that, she never really went thru that terrorizing puppy stage until now, which imagine a 50 pound golden running straight at you, full speed trying to break your knees, tearing anything and everything up, etc. 😂 but still wouldn’t recommend buying a pup here. we just happened to get very lucky and our pup made it through the sickness. i’m sorry for a lot of you who lost your pup due to it. here are some recent pics of bam bam!

Bird water is always completely disgusting. I own birds and to see this is horrible. Our birds water is at s clean. Would they drink this water?? No! So the birds shouldn’t have to either. Great way to make them sick. Ferret food and cage is always gross. Prices are ridiculously expensive. Places like this should be shut down. They buy from puppy mills and have had multiple complaints. Who in their right mind would pay 6,000+ for a kitten or a puppy. That’s plain stupidity. Doesn’t matter the breed. Adopt from a rescue or buy from an actual reputable breeder. Birds are also way overpriced for birds that aren’t hand fed and tame. 🤦‍♀️

Don't buy cats or dogs to apply for their credit card. I bought a cat here last year for $3500, and bought cat supplies for $900 in the store. The staff inside applied for their credit card for me. The limit is $5500 Yes, since April last year, I have paid a total of $2064 (13 months) to the credit card, and $1400.65 was deducted in interest, and only $663.35 of the principal was repaid in 13 months, which is simply robbery! Don't buy their pets, and the cats I bought are not purebred cats! ! As much as I love it, I feel cheated by this pet store! When you apply for a credit card, the interest rate on the credit card will not be explained to you. If they said so, I would definitely not apply for this rubbish credit card! Made me pay so much interest! Terrible! Advise everyone not to be deceived! protect yourself! Hope this review can help you all! Check out the repayment details below! Look at the interest! The staff members are beyond awesome! They helped me find the perfect little furry friend! :) they made me feel welcomed from the moment I stepped in, lovely people and very helpful. Not just that but the store is also super clean, everything is well organized, smells great to be a pet shop!! 10/10 highly recommend to anyone looking for a happy healthy furry friend ♥️

Terrible place, do not recommend. The employees act like they don't want to be there. They argued with me when I asked for help finding the right pet food. They used to have feeder rats, but often would lie about what was available over the phone to bring you in. No reptile supplies anymore. Minimal dog food selection. Expensive designer puppies. Don't waste your time here!

Love this place! Level of access to pets helps you make the right call. Angela and Seimon were so helpful and friendly. She showed us several dogs and seemed genuinely interested in helping us make the right choice.

Seinonn will be a great manager! At his young age, he knows how to carry himself in a very mature and professional manner. Kevin was great! If he didn't know the answer, he went to find it great on the 1st week on the job. We found a wonderful 4 month old companion. He can't never replace the baby we lost, but he can bring some joy to us that she left behind.

Horrible customer service. We came here Sunday on Mother’s Day to just look at the puppies bc my daughter wanted to go in and look. We stood looking through the windows at the puppies for a good 15 min with no one approaching us to ask if we needed help or anything. Another family came in and immediately was greeted and put in a room to see a puppy. After giving a nasty look to these so called “workers” I was able to get someone to let us see a puppy. After we were done looking at the puppy I asked the guy how much the puppy was and he replied “let me go put the puppy back and I’ll come back out with the price”. Well he never did instead he went OUTSIDE AND IGNORED MY REQUEST. So then I went up to another worker and asked him the price. He said “the puppy is $5000 with $1000 off right now with our deal going on but this is just an estimate we would have to run numbers and see” This place will never have my business after the rude customer service and the shady business practices I will not purchase an animal from here. Found an AKC REGISTERED breeder and the dog was only $1200 not $5k. You need to work ion customer service with these kids you have running this store. Worst customer service ever. 0 stars!

I purchased a puppy from here today, 2/12, and it was a great experience. I got a purebred Pomeranian puppy and couldn’t have asked for a better dog. The workers made sure my experience was good and bathed my puppy before we took her home. The manager, Rick, was super helpful and made sure we knew everything about our bundle of joy before sending us off. Will go again!

Terrible place, do not recommend. The employees act like they don't want to be there with No respect This place was filthy and the salesman practically refused to answer my question. I wanted to get the pricing for the before meeting the dog and he would not tell me??? I explained I didn't want to meet a dog I couldn't afford, I was not ready to drop $5,000. The Salesman was weird, the fact that he wouldn't just tell me pricing is horribly irritating. By the way the comment from Petland was not helpful. I don't mind the prices of you dogs I do mind that you salesman refused to be transparent about those prices. Don't waste your time here!

My husband and I had an amazing time at the Pet Land in Overland Park. George helped us through the entire process of getting our new puppy! Gorge was very nice to meet with and made sure my husband and I knew all we needed to know for our new puppy. He took extra time out of his way to discuss different products that would be best for our new puppy. Even when the store was busy he did a fantastic job with multitasking and handling all of the customers with help from his team. I would definitely recommend Pet Land in Overland Park because the store is clean, the staff are friendly and they will really help you and go the extra mile so you can take home your new pet!

We went in to look at this super adorable Guy. Immediately Lori approached us and was more than helpful in the process. She was very very knowledgeable about not only him, but all the questions we had. We would highly recommend Petland, and Lori as well!

This petland is the best location to purchase any little animal you might want! The entire staff is extremely knowledgeable on all kinds of breeds and will help you set up everything you’ll need to successfully transition your fur baby! 10/10 😊😊🐶

Nathan and Fairy were very friendly, provided great customer service. They patiently explained everything regarding the needs of our puppy and our package. As well as answered all of our questions. I recommend this location when finding your next pet/member of the family.
