Was relocated to Kansas City 3 years ago and have been trying to find a good Mexican restaurant. We have found it. From great polite waiters and waitresses and waitresses to an outstanding selection of is a selection of authentic plates available, Not to mention the great quality of the food itself, This restaurant sets itself apart from other local Mexican restaurants. I highly recommend this and since me and my wife visited I have been back by myself. Great selection of drinks and many different flavors of margaritas, In the 2 times I have been there inside of a week I have nothing bad that I can come up with to say. 5 stars, And this will become a regular for me and my family.

Awesome! Everything was very fresh, & my burrito had grilled steak, shrimp & fajita beef! It was unreal! Our waitress was great!The chips & salsa ( free ) and that salsa is great! 1st time being here, & it won't be my last!! A+

Decided to give this place a try after hearing a positive review from a friend and it did not disappoint. The atmosphere is absolutely fantastic and the service was fast and friendly. Seconds after sitting down, our chips and salsa were delivered and were extremely fresh and tasteful. I ordered two steak enchiladas with black beans and rice. The sides were very tasty and the steak tasted incredible and was easy to chew. Their was a cheese sauce over the enchiladas that was extremely tasty. I was so full by the end of my meal I struggled on my last few bites, but it was so good, that I just had to finish. We will definitely be back for a meal.

Visited KC on a business trip and we were staying in OP. I had been told that KC had above average Mexican food and this was one of the highest rated in the area. The place was surprisingly busy for a Tuesday at noon. The restaurant itself seems quite large on the inside. There is a very nice full circle bar that splits the dining room. There is a cool fountain and mostly covered patio out front. The decor is top notch. A little weird to say, but the bathrooms are the nicest of any Mexican restaurant that I have been to. They have very neat sinks as well. The food was very good. My quesadilla was above average in size, but I was hoping to have a little more grease and crispier edges. I was bummed I didn't get to try their rice, but the refried beans were excellent. This place has very good portion sizes. Our waitress (I hate that I forgot her name) was incredible. She was on the ball while still tending to many other tables with a 12 top coming in as we were ordering. Thanks Google (and reviewers), this place definitely checks out.

We were looking for a great authentic Mexican Restaurant. After searching on Google this restaurant stuck out. When we arrived there was a 25 minute delay it was worth the wait. We ordered Margaritas to drink & while we waited we enjoyed chips & salsa. The salsa was different & delicious. The new appetizer called steak sticks is a must try, it is delicious. Our food was hot & tasty. I would recommend this restaurant for authentic Mexican Food & good Margaritas.

WOW!! VOTED ONE OF kC's favorite!!!I can totally taste why this place is amazing. First of all let's start with the absolutely amazing wait staff, then on to the best salsa and chips! The salsa had just the right amount of spice not dumb down for the Kansas palette but flavorful and spicy! The two dishes we ordered again perfect seasoning and spices tgat make your eyes can dance with aye aye aye!! If you celebrate not eaten here before what are you waiting for!!!

I’m not a big fan of Mexican food, but this place is & was amazing. The food was well seasoned and fresh. The service was good, beautiful and neat looking servers. The place itself could do with a little face lift. Give it a shot!!!!

Wow, what a find in Overland Park near 119th & Metcalf! First time here and we will be back. Salsa is terrifically seasoned and spiced. Steak fajita chimichanga was amazing and 5 star recommended. House margarita was good and priced right. Enjoy some very good Mexican dishes here.

Went here with family. Large group. It was nice. We had a great time, the food was good and authentic. I didn't eat all of my meal bc i I was having a good time. It would be worth checking out.

Sat at the bar. Great service. 2nd time there. Just as good as the 1st. Steak was juicy and full of flavor. The chicken fajitas were fire!

The service was pretty good, however the food leaves much to be expected. I had the lobster, and it was so so, but the chicken that came with it almost had a bitter taste to it. The best part of the meal was the rice. My companions had fish tacos and a sizzling chicken fajita. The fish tacos were good, however the fajita was reported as bland and tasteless. Overall, it is a so-so restaurant.

The menu had a little bit of everything as far as Mexican food, their salsa is my new favorite, our server was friendly and attentive, and the ambiance was nice. Went back for another great meal today! Love this place...

I have been here many times and finally writing my review after my wonderful visit on 5.13.23. Everything was perfect. The staff were friendly, helpful, and attentive. The food was excellent and the portions were large as usual. The chips and salsa were waiting for us on the table and both were delicious. We ate lunch outside this time and the weather was perfect. This restaurant is usually busy with a short waiting period to get seated. It is worth the short wait.

So so good!! Great service, great waitress, very very good food! Everything was super flavorful. Some of the best Mexican we've ever had. Queso was amazing. Chips and salsa were great..little spicier but our kids went through 6 bowls. Meat quality was perfect. Great flavor and tender. We loved it and would highly recommend!

I’ve had several people tell me to check this place out so I finally went with some friends. Wow, this place is awesome! It was packed when we went but thankfully we only had about a 10 minute wait. I’ve been told the wait is usually longer because how busy it always is. The restaurant was very clean and well kept. I enjoyed the decor and painting through the place. Service was pretty good too, considering how busy they were. The best part of course though, was the food! I had the tamales platter and it was SO tasty! My friend had the chicken enchiladas and she says she gets that every time because of how good it is. I will def be back to try a different plate and also to get another margarita!!

The food is Amazing! Nothing we ordered was bad. So delicious! The staff, however, could be a little more friendly. When we got there, there was no greeting, the hostess who showed us to our seat said nothing and the waiter we had was impatient and irritable. Otherwise, for our first time there, I will say the food saved the day!!

Loved my drink! The carbon steak chimichanga wasn't my thing. The parts of the dish were all good, but didn't blend as well as I hoped. The cheese dip was delicious! Great service during a busy weekend evening. Looking forward to trying something different next time.

Soooo much cheese. At first, it's good but it's on everything in everything it's too much. Our waiter was very attentive and the food came fairly fast I just think they could slow down the cheese. I wanted green salsa not cheese sauce 😭😭

I have been coming here for years. The food has always been exceptional just like their service. A bit pricey but you get what you pay for. Recommend this for anyone coming in for lunch and highly recommended for couples. This food will bring joy to anyones stomach and the interior of the restaurant contains a lot of detail.

Authentic Mexican Cuisine. Chile Relleno and Tamales were spot on! Excellent serving staff. Excellent atmosphere. Stepping through the front door transports you to an Across the Border experience.

Hands down the best place to eat in the area! Absolutely fantastic, large margaritas. The food is superb!! I wish a stuffed avocado was on every Mexican menu. The beans were top notch with a great cilantro flavor. There was many veggie choices to choose from. And the prices are easy on the pocket.

Good was good. Server was good. Bathroom needed attention. For 2 people $50.00. It's so loud in here people are practically yelling just to talk at the table. Plenty of parking. Only thing was it was just too loud in here. Felt like I was at a Bar!!

The atmosphere, waiter, food, drinks was a fulfilling and pleasurable experience. We ordered the champion burrito, spinach queso and chiro beans. The wait was about 15 minutes but it was absolutely worth it. They had non stop flow of traffic, happy customers and seemed to be a lot of birthday celebrations. Great spot for date night, entertainment and a perfect spot for authentic Mexican food. I will definitely be back! ❤️

We came to OP for my birthday celebration and wanted to try a new Mexican restaurant. We got there about 12:30 on a Sunday afternoon and expected to have to wait. We got right in, server brought chips and took drink order within minutes. I ordered the tamale platter and my husband ordered the fish tacos. Both meals were amazing and huge portions. He got 2 meals out of his and I got 3 meals. Chips and salsa good, margaritas were quite tasty as well. Lucia was a wonderful server and kept us filled up on water, chips and drinks. They also have a really nice hot salsa and the spinach queso was nice and thick with a good flavor.

THE FOOD AND SERVICE WAS EXCELLENT! I ENJOYED THE ATMOSPHERE IT WAS VERY RELAXING AND AUTHENTIC!!!
