Darling Yoga

Yoga studio

😠 I am very frustrated with my experience at Darling Yoga today. I purchased a groupon on the 23rd of last month and it is supposed to be good for a month. I came in today the 22nd and was told my groupon had expired. Even though this is not a full month. I was able to sign up for the class online and... I felt very comfortable there on my first visit, the instructor took the time to walk me through the routine and assist me getting set up. I felt the class was run very professional and stayed on task. I have been to a few yoga classes where its a social event and lots of talking. I understand people get to know each other but with yoga I feel. It should be a peaceful, atomposhere, which i really felt that in this basic yoga class. I am looking forward to improving my overall flexibility and mindfulness.

From the moment I walked through the front door I felt this overwhelming sense of being welcome and that I was in a safe place. The energy, the aroma, and the soothing sounds were all so comforting. It was really a great experience. Thank you! 🙏

I am very frustrated with my experience at Darling Yoga today. I purchased a groupon on the 23rd of last month and it is supposed to be good for a month. I came in today the 22nd and was told my groupon had expired. Even though this is not a full month. I was able to sign up for the class online and there was no indication on the app that my groupon had expired a day early. I even showed them the app and that it let me sign up and they were aware of this but still wanted their 20$ for a drop in class in full. They were not understanding with me when I told them I had traveled 20 minutes to make it to the class and it does not make sense that the groupon would not be good for a full month like advertised. I was also disappointed that the groupon did not give access to their virtual classes which is something I was wanting to try. Before this experience today I was enjoying my time here and thought about continuing. However with the lack of understanding today I will not be returning.

I’ve been doing yoga on and off for years but I’ve found a great routine at Darling Yoga, they have a good mix of levels and make you feel welcome in every class. Most instructors are great about recommending props to modify poses and have body affirming practices. Plus they have yoga mats and any props you’d need available at the studio. I highly recommend taking advantage of their new student special and trying out several classes/instructors to find the right fit!

Darling Yoga is an amazing Yoga studio and I feel so lucky to have found them. Not only is the Yoga fantastic, but the place itself feels more like a sanctuary than just a yoga studio. The atmosphere is fantastic. All of the yoga teachers are very welcoming and good at what they do. I would highly recommend this studio to those looking to start or continue doing yoga. The Great variety and well-rounded classes have allowed me to advance my yoga technique/skills leading to a feeling of greater physical abilities and more in-tuned with my mind and body. I would highly encourage anyone to try out a class at Darling yoga - you will thank yourself later!

I’ve had a wonderful experience here. I am new to Yoga, and everyone here has been so friendly and accepting. Even after only five classes, it’s been a game changer for me mentally. It has given me the space to prioritize the things that really matter in life. I’m looking forward to building a consistent practice and making further positive changes in my life.

I came to Darling Yoga after surviving the Covid ICU, after intensive rehabilitation, yet still dealing with a compromised immune system but wanting to continue strengthening my body. I found the studio teachers to be so kind, and nonjudgmental (I had to wear an N95 in public spaces for almost a year). The atmosphere is truly a unique, loving, supportive and trauma-informed community. My journey continued to include not just physical, but mental and emotional healing. I ended up taking the Yoga Teacher Training this year and it was a life-changing experience. The community in this studio has literally changed my life and I am forever grateful! I highly recommend Darling Yoga, and their training program, even if you don’t plan to teach, it’s an amazing experience. Thank you, Darling Yoga!

As an experienced yoga evaluator for Chinese yoga enthusiasts worldwide, I've taken a look at the website link and Google Map reviews of the yoga studio you provided. Now, let's get down to business and rate this place! First of all, let's talk about the location. The coordinates point us to a spot in Kansas City, Missouri. Well, if you're looking for a tranquil escape from bustling city life, you might want to reconsider because this yoga studio seems to be located in the heart of the city. But hey, who says you can't find inner peace amid the chaos, right? Now, onto the reviews. It seems like opinions are quite divided here. Some people absolutely love this place, praising the knowledgeable instructors and the wide variety of classes offered. One reviewer even mentioned that they had a "mind-blowing" experience during their visit. That's quite a statement! On the other hand, a few reviewers were less enthusiastic, mentioning issues with overcrowding and feeling a bit overwhelmed. Taking all this into consideration, I'd give this yoga studio a solid 3.5 out of 5 stars. It seems like a decent option for yoga enthusiasts visiting Kansas City, especially if you don't mind a bit of urban energy during your practice. Just make sure to check the class schedule beforehand to avoid any potential overcrowding.

Kimberly Hall's yin yoga class was perfection. What a beautiful session. I only wish there were more day yin classes at Darling.

Great studio and teacher was good, but talked in a weird baby/mommy voice and drew out all her sssss's. Too weird for me.

I recently moved to Overland Park and wanted to try a yoga studio near my home. I called before coming on Sunday about the Yin yoga class, the gentleman was very nice and welcoming and told me I could attend the class, he did not mention any sort of drop-in fee or any new member specials. I arrived 15 minutes early, I stated I was new to the area and looking to try a class and was charged $20 as a drop-in fee. It is understandable to charge a fee, however when I looked online after there was a new member special that I was not offered. The class was cut short 15 minutes but I paid the full drop in fee, the class was fine, based on other studios it is not worth the money. As a consumer, it is unfair that the business would make me do all the research possible instead of offering the specials to me.

Previous student of Emily Darling. I was thrilled to attend class at Darling Yoga after the closer of my “local” studio! Emily’s studio is as I remember from past visits; attractive, clean, welcoming, and will great teachers and all the accessories one may need to practice. I would recommend Darling Yoga to beginners as-well-as seasoned yoga practitioners.

Two words... Kate Molly. She is a genuine soul that connects the physical to the spiritual. She is the best part of yoga 😇

Kate is amazingly kind and open and is a great instructor. Her energy and smile is contagious! I enjoy that the 1st half is similar to a regular AA/NA meeting and the second half is just yoga based. It's a unique take on self care and i enjoy it fully.

I signed up for the 30 day trial just to try it out. I've been to 3 times, have been greeted so warm, and welcoming that after each class I can't wait until the next one! The instructors have been very informative and create a safe, peaceful environment. Very Zen.

The instructors were kind, helpful and non-judgemental. They created a space that I can fully relax and grow within. I am excited to immerse myself in my new journey with Darling Yoga.

40-something shallow, woke white women preaching about "love and light." Save your time and your money and find a REAL yoga studio.

I took Melanie's Basics class after fighting a knee issue and having to let it heal. It was SO wonderful to be back and I love Melanie's classes! Can't wait to get back full time and to Emily, Tammy and Kate's classes again! Jane K

Darling Yoga, a local business, has been my yoga home since they have opened 16 years ago. Emily and Sarah Darling have created a yoga studio that is a true community for anyone who wants to find comfort and healing in a crazy world! All the instructors are knowledgeable and have a true passion to teach. If you have been waiting to find a place to try yoga, Darling Yoga is the place. There are many workshops and Emily provides 200 hour training every year - which I was lucky to do in 2020. Darling Yoga is a true gem to the Kansas City area.

Darling Yoga is the best yoga studio! The yoga teachers are so knowledgeable, kind and encouraging, and guide with cues and options for all levels. I love the inclusive environment they create. And it all translates on Zoom, as well!

Love this studio, love the teachers, and I especially love the virtual class offerings! I work full time from home and it is so wonderful to be able to take a break for lunch and do a noon Yoga class, or get off work and simply transition to my mat in my living room for a 5:30pm class. Maybe at some point I will want to go back to a studio, but for now, this fits my lifestyle perfectly. Thank you, Darling Yoga!!
