SUBCULTURE WARNING - AVOID Yes, I had to shout that, because that is what some of the people staying in those small houses do. While very drunk. In the middle of the night. While listening very loudly to terrible Afrikaans doef doef. And, would you dare to meekly ask them to consider campers around them repeatedly woken up by this, the shouting changes to aggresive swearing and name calling. It doesn't matter if this is at 22:15, 23:30, or 00:30 (!) The poor security guards there and even the neighbourhood watch are at wits' end. A real shame, because the beach is exceptional and our caravanning neighbours were friendly and pleasant. Those small houses cause big problems - they need a serious rethink. Or campers need a hotline to the police. At the very least, inform campers of this when booking and specifically asking about the noise complaints other reviewers have mentioned. Perhaps others are lucky and don't have multiple bad apples around them. Terrible experience, our first and last visit.

It's a beautiful and serene place. My family loves this place. We take long wonderful walks. My kids can take walks safely. This is our 5th time visiting the resort and will definitely come back again.

Sea view bangalows. Very clean. Resort very nice with alot of facilities. Bangalow cupboards and walls need little upgrading. Overall very nice weekend at the lagoon. I will recommend to friends and booking again soon.

The cabin is beautifully situated with awesome views of the ocean. The cabins inside need to be refurbished

We stayed in one of the privately owned units. It was so nice. Totally relaxing. Right on the beach. You hear the ocean whole night. I checked camping sites. Mostly grassed and looks like an ideal place.

A revitalization of facilities and a renewed focus on quality service are essential to uphold Uilkraalmond's standing as a premier holiday destination.Despite these concerns, Uilkraalmond Resort remains a popular choice for vacationers. However, there is a collective hope among visitors that concerted efforts will be made to address the issues raised. This includes not only enhancing security measures during festive seasons but also investing in the restoration of facilities and the revival of the restaurant to ensure a consistently enjoyable experience for all patrons.Additionally, it's imperative to address any prevailing crime issues around the area. Beautiful place to be. Beaches are pristine and surroundings very peaceful. Everyone minds their own business. Will definitely visit again.

5/5 for location and access to the lagoon and beach, 2/5 for the facilities. Ablutions are clean, but run-down - places where tiles have been removed have plants growing in them, shower and toilets have locks missing to keep doors closed. Caravan electrical plugs were not working. Although the policy is 'no loud music at any time', we had to get up and ask people to turn their music down 7/10 nights. And that was between 22:00 - 01:30 in the mornings. It's really sad, as the lagoon and beach is absolutely amazing

Stayed in a privately owned cabin (no.4) - location was amazing, close to the lagoon. Cabin itself was not good - dirty, repaired beds, filthy sleeper couch, nasty kitchen items & smelt mouldy. Mismatched pile of plates, cups & cheap utensils, mattress in main bedroom was full of marks (& no mattress protector). Not a good experience - we will consider going back, but not to Cabin no. 4

The place is beautiful and so peaceful. It was our first time visiting the resort and my oh my we were impressed with the peacefulness away from all the city noise just to relax and unwind for a few days it really did all of us good. This resort is one of few resorts I'll highly recommend to my fellow friends and family. We're definitely going again in December and I personally already can't wait.

We visited Uilenkraalsmond this morning, what a disappointing experience coming into the resort. The lady at the gate has an absolute stinking attitude, she should not even be allowed to deal with customers. Please replace her!
