Came in for a breakfast and to do some work and was turned away because "we're a restaurant not an office". Went next door to Gnocchi which is an AWESOME restaurant which i highly recommend. Edit in response to owner: 1. When one goes to a restaurant at 9am, i don't think it's necessary to explain to them that you want to eat there, that's obvious. 2. You will not survive in a post-pandemic world where people work remotely. 3. Almost every bad review you have said the person is not being truthful, maybe you need to be a little more open to your oversight/criticism? 4. You had no customers when i walked in. Probably because of how you treat them. I'm a new resident to Betty's Bay and you wont be seeing me or any of my visitors again. You are stuck in the dark ages.

Didn’t love the atmosphere. We ordered drinks and the drinks that was supposed to be cold was warm. A tiny bit pricey too

There arent much places to eat in bettys baai but this one was my best experience. Service was a bit slow but i could see the waitress was very busy. The have a couple of cool beers and food menu was decent.

Best waffles on the Whale Coast Route. Lekker coffee. Great views. Exceptional service. Well worth the stop, highly recommended 👌

Very impressive! We had lunch at the restaurant and everything was done perfectly. Hot chips, hot drinks, croissant filled with lovely chicken mayo! Very impressed.

Well-located, friendly welcome and conversation. Large, well-equipped room with a comfy bed and floor-to ceiling windows onto a huge terrace with a panoramic sea view! Fantastic experience and good value.

The place was very tranquil. Staff was lovely. Unfortunately the pancakes and chocolate cake was a BIT chewy (almost like it was yesterday's food) We finished it because we didn't want to seem too fussy. The coffee was great though.

Ordered very basic fish and chips , sent the fish back almost completely untouched as it was really not good , only had the chips and the veggies as I was really hungry . I did not want to send the food back which I would have done under normal circumstances , but I was not the only person in the restaurant so felt sorry for the owners . When Laura collected my plate and saw that I did not eat the fish at all , funny enough she did not enquire why , I was hoping to give some constructive criticism instead a two star review , anyway I left it at that . Cappuccino made with long life milk also really not good , therefore generally not a good experience .

Really friendly atmosphere and Laura was a wonderful host bring the 'Jack' of all trades front of house. And an amazingly small world as Laura and I lived a few streets away from each other in SE London many moons ago. Was meant to be that I was drawn to this restaurant!

Lovely setting, but the interior and garden can be improved. Lots of potential. Only had drinks. will try the food next time

We've been coming to Jack's for a bite to eat since our first visit to Betty's Bay 5 years ago. Great coffee, delicious wholesome meals, friendly and efficient service. The decor however needs a bit of sprucing up but I cannot fault them on service or quality of their meals.

Humongous portions of food and very tasty! Fantastic view over Bettys Bay and a delighrful owner. Decor could do with a bit of an upgrade but don't let that put you off, it os recommended. Also basically the only local food establishment open on a Tuesday although they are closed on a Wednesday.
