This was the 1st time I tried Grottos Pizza. The service and place were great. Took my order over the phone and was ready just as I arrived. I ordered 4 different pizzas. The pizza just missed the mark, especially for the price. There is too much dough and not enough cheese or toppings. If you get the deep dish, make sure you ask for extra cheese. You may end up with a loaf of bread with sauce. Next time, I'll try the entries. Hopefully, they will be better for the price.

LOVE Grottos pizza!!!! The food is perfect *almost* every time we get it and the few times it hasn't they have made it right with no hassle. My only wish is that there were more locations because although it is worth the drive, we have to drive quite some time to get to it.

Food was decent, drink specials for happy hour were a disappointment. Though the pizza was good I don't think the prices are justified.

Our family ate at the Sports Bar / Grotto Pizza. We ordered different foods, including wings, pizza, cheesesteaks with french fries. The wings were cooked perfectly with nice flavor. Great ranch dressing for the wings, used to dip our fries. 🙂 Food tasted okay other then the wings! It was nice being a Sports Bar, of course drinks were ordered.

I am surprised why this place has a 4 stars rating while it deserves more. I heard about this place from a friend of mine who was literally flirting with their pizzas and he spent some time trying to describe the taste of the cheese pizza he ordered couple of days ago, so he kinda made me feel that i need to try it. And today I went there at lunch and ordered 2 slices one was a cheese and the other one had chicken and mushroom & both were simply legendary & very rich in taste. The size of the slice is normal and the price wasn't expensive. The place looks great with multiple screens all over the place so i am definitely visiting again to watch the games and enjoy the bar. The service was amazing, Brian who helped me with my order and he was very friendly and helpful. I really loved the place

The food was good but the customer service was amazing! We ordered from the hotel and walked over to grab it. Food was ready and they gave us everything we needed for our family to enjoy our meal in our hotel room. We tried two pepperoni pizzas, one cheese pizza, and one large order of wings. No complaints from us! Definitely choose this over the larger chains in the area! Thank you grotto for making our night a little better!

If your in the mood for pizza, keep driving. Ordered a large pizza the other night. It was over $20 with no toppings. Pizza was paper thin, undercooked, and soggy. No longer in my rotation for pizza. Even chain pizzas taste better!

Pizza combos by the slice. Two pep/cheese slices and drink..$10. Pretty good. Staff is nice, and atmosphere is family oriented. Bar area is updated away from other seating even with separate entrance. Will return to try the Gelato.

Gotta love some Delaware beach staple pizza right here in Columbia. This is a fairly large location with outside dining available. The staff seems to always be nice when we go and the restaurant is clean and appears well run.

This was one of the best experiences i have ever had in my whole 20 years, the service was so good and so was the food! I will definitely be coming back with my children !! ❤️

It's pretty good utilitarian pizza. There are lots of other items on the menu. They sell pizza by the slice. Seem to do a pretty good carry out business. Staff is friendly.

Great service and food. There's a separate bar area that's great for watching sports or socializing. The dining area is more laid back but still has plenty of TVs around the perimeter. Wings are excellent...very meaty but cooked through and crispy on the outside. Grotto style pizza has sauce on top of the cheese, which weirds some people out but I think it's alright (and my kids still love it!) Beach fries aren't much too look at but they were perfectly crispy and devoured by my toddler.

BLUF: I recommend. The people were super nice! The restaurant was extremely clean and warm. The fireplace is so nice. Plenty of parking. Now the pizza wasn't my favorite at all. It was not the fault of the employees, but Grotto's pizza company recipe. I tried the Mexican Corn Pizza,... I love Mexican Corn, from Arizona and was hoping the pizza would conjure memories of eating the corn back in the day.😏 Unfortunately it didn't. At all. It wasn't terrible, but it wasn't delicious either. I would not buy it or eat it again. It could be improved, the crust was in desperate need of seasoning, a mayo drizzle on the top, and spicier. I would go back to the restaurant and try different food. Like I stated, the employees were very nice and the faculty is clean. But avoid the Mexican Corn Pizza.

We stopped in late Thursday on a whim after a paint night at a local brewery. We were tired and hungry and just wanted something quick and yummy. The place was mostly empty by 8:30pm, so we were seated immediately and our waitress was the nicest! We got a slice of the pepperoni pizza to try, along with the "Classic Margherita" pizza. It wasn't the traditional margherita I was used to, but it was good. The pepperoni was my favorite -- it was covered in a BLANKET of crisp pepperoni and tasted garlic-y. The crust of both pizzas was delicious, not too floppy, not greasy at all, and with a good crisp crunch to it without being too chewy. It reminded me of one of my favorite small-town pizza places from back home, or how Pizza Hut used to feel when we were kids. The restaurant was clean, parking was easy to find, and the restaurant itself is pretty easy to navigate to from the main roads. The next time I'm in the area, I'll definitely go back to try more (including the gelato, which I was really curious about).

I have been going here for quite a while now and every time the food is very fresh and every time I go to pick up my order I typically take carry out. They are always very nice today. 12/30/23 around 1 o’clock I came and picked up pizza for my team, and the people at the counter were great highly recommend.

Somewhat disappointed. We have enjoyed Grottos at other locations. The French onion soup was very overcooked and tasted burnt. The Marguerite pizza was very good, but the regular size cost $21. The soup was $8. The drinks were 3.30 a piece. Add one kids meal, and we paid $55 for lunch for two adults and one child!That's without the tip. We will not be returning.

Good tap selection. Great pizza. Wings are decent. Great family place. Dining separated from bar. So bring the little ones and enjoy some great pizza. Made to order

Very nice staff. Each one greeted us and waitress checked on us without badgering. Pizza Was good too of course. Not as filling as some other restaurants' pizza.

Usually we love their pizza, but waiting 3 HOURS for a delivery order which we ended up needing to come in to pick up is way too long. Talking to the individuals requesting an update to our delivery order gave conflicting information showing they had no idea where our order was. Multiple others were standing around who had been waiting just as long.

Self proclaimed pizza expert here, Italian heritage, I could eat this pizza pie everyday. If you've never had it, get there now and feel the pleasure of great pizza. I only wish they had more locations, I drove over an hour, but it's worth it!

Went at a slow time of day so service was amazing, pizza was great. Tasted the same as it did when I was a kid. Never disappointed here.

Pretty poor NFL Sunday experience. Apparently an Eagles bar, and you couldn’t see the game from a seat due to a pole in the bar. They wouldn’t change another game even though no one was watching the other tv. Additionally, only one bartender for like 40 tables which made service very slow. Not the servers fault, but poorly ran location.

I ordered pizza and appetizers both for delivery and for pickup. The food is ok, but my order was messed up every time. I had to go back for missing items, or the delivery person never received it from Grotto staff, etc. I will not order from them anymore, it's too pricey and frustrating for a mediocre pizza.

It was a rushed day so I needed to pick up our pizzas quickly so my family could eat & get off to the evening's activities. I walked in a few minutes early but the order had just been put in the boxes so I didn't have to wait but a minute or so before heading back out the door.

Fantastic pizza with a unique appearance. Service was friendly and quick. Tried the beach fries and cheese steak as well. Fries were ok, perhaps a bit over cooked. Cheese steak was good but could use more steak for a better bread to steak ratio. Grotto gets a +1 as they carry Coke Zero. We'll be back, besides the pizza the meatball sub looked good.

Great wings, nice and crispy. Pizza was okay, I've had better many times. The drinks kept coming to our 10 plus person party and the server never got them wrong. Huge props to keeping everyone straight. Would visit again!

Great service from Bree. Delicious wings (mild flavor) and delicious hot pizza. Not greasy; not oily; really tasty tomato sauce and perfect crust texture. Birthday cake flavor gelato was also sooo good! Very reasonable prices. Thank you!

The food was good. I was a little bummed that our server hardly checked on us. All 4 of us ran out of drinks halfway through our meal and never got a refill on any of them. We had to get up and go ask for our check because we waited so long to get his attention and we had finished eating 20 minutes prior.

Grotto Pizza has always been a staple of Rehoboth Beach, DE and used to have a location in Bowie, MD but it seems that has closed. Anyway, the Grottos in Columbia serves the exact same, great tasting pizza as they do on the boardwalk in Rehoboth Beach. It has never been overly busy so we haven't had to wait for a table but has always had a decent crowd. Service has been great in my experience.

Bartender refuses to pour drinks for patrons outside the bar unless servers run food for patrons in the bar. Waited 20 minutes for a draft beer. Open hostility between employees created a tense environment. Food was slow and obviously frozen. Tables were sticky and floor had not been swept.

Grotto has awesome Fresh Pizza 👌 🍕. Price is fair.. Staff is friendly and helpful, and environment is relaxing... like a small Pub. Good family 👪 place.

Attended a birthday party. Pizza and spaghetti & meatballs were good. Plenty of water and soda was available. That makes for happy 11 & 12yr olds!

I just came by for lunch to pick up a slice of pizza and it was delish. I lived in Ocean City for most of my life, so finding out there was a grottos here was like having a little taste of my hometown. The lady and man behind the takeout counter had big smiles on their faces and were extremely friendly with great personalities. Couldn’t ask for better.

We were promptly greeted and seated. The waiter could have been more attentive, took him 10 minutes to greet us and my drink sat empty through the last half of my meal. Never came back to check on us and see if we needed anything, Just to drop the check. Pizza was great, and just as good reheated the next day.
