They made our wedding day!!!! They catered our wedding and rehearsal dinner. Not only was the food was absolutely delicious, they were so caring and accommodating. Chef Garfrerick is so talented and his love for cooking showed from the rehearsal dinner, that bread pudding was outstanding, to our cocktail hour appetizers, to the big event, we still have people talking about out food!!! Rachel makes everything perfect and makes you feel so special, she truly loves what she does!!! We have eaten at the restaurant as well, several times, and it is superb every time!!!

For our group of 9, everything was delicious! Matt was an amazing server, and the food, drinks, and desserts were phenomenal! If you haven't checked it out, you need to!

At 7:15 PM (the restaurant closes at 8 PM), we arrived for our 7:30 reservation for two. We were seated behind the wall, tucked into a corner at a small table for two. Within five minutes, we ordered the green salad, Chef salad, and pesto with tomato on bruschetta as appetizers. In today's Covid environment, our table had not been washed, and we used an alcohol wipe to clean the table, which came away grossly filthy. At 7:35 PM, I asked if the bread was coming. I was informed it had to be baked. It arrived five minutes later. At 7:50 PM, I spoke with the head waitress and asked why none of our food had arrived, especially salads and appetizers. I was informed that our order had not been entered into the computer until 7:44 PM. I asked for a new waitress, and the head waitress said she would take over. At 7:55 PM, our salads and appetizer arrived. Five minutes later, our entrès arrived as we were still just bites into salads and appetizers. There was not enough room at the table to place all of the dishes, and the staff arranged to have a second small table moved alongside ours. My wife's green salad was nothing but various whole lettuce leaves and spinach with six pecan slices ($16). It was a challenge to eat due to lack of flavor and the size of the leaves. We do not reccomend. My Chef's salad ($16) was again only romaine lettuce but did have an amazing italian dressing that made it very tasty. I recommend. Both my wife and I loved the tomato and pesto on bruschetta ($9). Different colored tomatoes were used, and it looked as good at it tasted. We recommend. The restaurant's appetizer selection left us wanting. The is very little offered other than salads - no mushrooms, calamari, ravioli, soup, etc. For entrès, I ordered the halibut on coconut rice with grilled vegetables ($36). The halibut portion seemed small, but exhibited outstanding flavor, and I enjoyed everything on the plate. When finished, the proportion size was acceptable. My wife ordered the rib eye steak with mushrooms, asparagus and fingerling potatoes. The steak was thick, large, and cooked to perfection. The mushroom sauce complemented the steak and provided a nice dip. Everything was superb. For dessert, we ordered (I cannot remember the name) a chocolate pudding with a creamy whipping. It was fantastic, rich, and one portion is sufficient for two to share after such a succulent meal. I included a coffeeniti that complimented, but was a tad liquor-strong. All-in-all the meal quality was excellent, but the service was off the mark. We were told that this was the waitresses' first day on her own. I believe more training is necessary.

Service was good. Presentation was good. My wife had the shrimp and grits she said it was pretty tasty but she's not a big eater and the portion was not enough to fill her up. I had the barrel cut ribeye with grilled asparagus. It was a little bland and it is a barrel cut ribeye so I will excuse some of the toughness but it was a pretty tough steak.

Want to know the best kept secret in Oxford? Garfrerick’s! My husband and I had contemplated eating here in the past, but it looked closed last time we drove by the restaurant. We gave it a go today and we weren’t disappointed. Our waitress brought out the best appetizer bread. It was so soft and I ate more than my share. I ordered the pasta puttanesca and my husband ordered the shrimp and grits. This place knows how to cook shrimp. They had the right amount of bite. Oh and the grits! Thick and creamy. So good! I liked the pasta puttanesca. Good choice for pasta lovers. The Kalamata olives had been marinated and the capers were very good. It says it had anchovies, but I didn’t really taste them. Our waitress was wonderful. We will be back when in town again.

use to eat here was very good ...moved away .came back tonight it was so bad from the tea to salad to main course was the worst ever . I will never be back . I would not recommend this place ever and we still tore up a $100.00. I use t9 go there at least 2 times a month every month... the owner was standing right there NEVER at any point offered to come by our table extend an apology... Does he have it so good that he can't say sorry and extend an offer to come back he'll no he didn't. So disappointed. .and just think I've spent thousands of dollars there ...took new people there all the time ...I failed to mention the man with me was a local small town mayor!!! I know he or his staff will never patronize his establishment in the future. I do hope the owner reads and does take action on this matter it's been 1 month and the owner has not tried to reach put to me at all he's without a doubt the worst businessman I've came across in some time now . the amount of money we spent ...took me nearly 8 hours to make it. I'm not r8ch like you are mister... a total refund would be in order. if I don't hear back from you I will continue to add to this review every month

I was traveling on business in the area and found Garfrerick’s online after scrolling through tons of chain restaurants! This place was great- food was amazing and our server was friendly. I had the pork chop with green beans and sweet potato purée and the guys I was with had the scallops and the shrimp and grits. I have traveled a lot in the past 3 years and this will be at the top of best dinners out!

Great dinner with friends tonight. Food was good, cooked to perfection. I would have liked a bit more herbs on my pecan encrusted grouper. The hoppin' John and veggies were perfect. Creme brulee was light and delicious. Service could have been better. She handed out 3 menus for the 5 of us, then brought out 2 more. Same thing happened with the beverage list, brought 3 then 2 more later. She kept our beverages filled and asked if we needed anything at appropriate times - good. I wish that other starter dishes were offered. Crabcakes and oysters aren't appealing to some people. So m e people are lactose intolerant, eliminating the cheese board. Plenty of other starter options to consider, including soups.
