Unfortunately,
it
was
closed
when
I
visited,
but
when
I
looked
into
the
adjacent
Kisai
Library,
an
elderly
man
approached
me
and
told
me
that
although
it
was
already
closed,
there
was
an
exhibition
by
Professor
Taniyama
on
the
second
floor.
Wondering
what
it
was,
I
went
back
and
looked
at
the
sign
at
the
entrance,
and
it
turned
out
to
be
Mr.
Tanimura,
the
one
who
made
the
Shimura-Taniyama
conjecture.
When
I
asked
an
elderly
man,
that
was
exactly
what
he
said.If
you
were
coming
from
Tokyo,
you
could
talk
to
the
museum
director
and
negotiate
with
him
that
he
would
let
you
see
the
exhibit
even
though
it
was
closed,
and
he
was
able
to
see
the
exhibit
even
though
it
was
after
closing
time.
Mr.
Taniyama
is
a
great
mathematician
from
Kazo
City
who
came
up
with
the
Shimura-Taniyama
conjecture,
which
was
an
important
clue
for
Andrew
Wiles
to
solve
Fermat's
Last
Theorem
in
1993.
His
belongings
and
achievements
were
on
display
on
a
small
scale,
and
I
was
deeply
moved
by
the
fact
that
a
mathematician
whose
name
is
unknown
to
the
rest
of
the
world
was
born
and
raised
in
this
city.
If
you
